Reasonable price and good service. No frills. They do a good job with short hair cuts for women.

I came here for a last minute haircut because of the free conditioning treatment add-on. My stylist actually didn’t introduce herself to me so I’m not sure of her name, but overall the haircut was not bad. Be aware that they charge haircuts based off of your hair length; so for women with long hair, you could be paying as much as $ 85, and at this rate you might as well go to a salon on the Upper East. Overall, this seems like much more of a men’s hair salon.

I am the BIGGESTCRITIC when it comes to hair salons. My mothers a professional stylist so I normally get my hair done by her. The one time I went to a salon they SCREWED up my hair. Ever since then I vowed never to go to another hair salon. THS is around the corner from my school. So one day when I was stressing about my hair and terrible split ends, I decided to suck it up. I couldn’t make it home to have my stepmom do my hair as she lives in a different state, so I came here. First off, the front desk service, SONICE, super helpful and very welcoming. Second off, !!! VANESSA !!! One word. AMAZING. I explained to her my fear of hair salons and she calmed me down, listened to me and made my hair look AMAZING. Tell her what you’re looking for and she’ll LISTEN, I think that’s the problem with most stylist, they never listen. So when I say I asked for«just a trim and a clean up,» she gave me exactly that. I think I’ve finally gotten over my fear of salons and hair stylist after coming here and having Vanessa hook me up. Il be coming back when my ends go crazy again. ALSO, their prices are some of the best for NYC. Reasonable for the amazing outcome you get.

I just moved to NYC and needed to find a hair salon! Luckily I did! I called in and was able to book an appointment right there and then. The environment was also great very relaxing. I got a wash, haircut and blow out. Ula was my hair stylist and will be my hair stylist moving forward. Thanks so much Tribeca Hair Studios!

I had my hair done today by Narcy and she did an amazing job, I could not be happier and I am hard to please. Narcy took the time to listen to my explanations and made perfect highlights and hair cut on my long hair. She worked with passion and great professionalism. The only bad side about this salon is that when Narcy was finishing my hair, the lady who seats at the register came and took NArcy on the side, she started to tell her things in a very aggressive manner and I understood that she was blaming Narcy for spending too much time on my hair. I was shocked and uncomfortable, the lady talking to Narcy is a bigger lady with short hair, she made me feel terrible and uncomfortable and ruined my experience in the salon. She was very aggressive in her tone. More importantly I felt terrible for Narcy who made my hair with so much passion… Bad

First time there and I LOVED it. Ula(I may be butchering her name) was super attentive to what I asked and left my hair exactly how I wanted it. The prices are great and the staff is very kind. Definitely going back again.

Was able to make a last minute appointment for partial highlights and they were very nice and accommodating. The three stars is for the stylist not being very interested in what I wanted, but she did a good job.

I’ve been going to THS for well over a year now. I love that they keep to appointment schedules! I HATE having to wait and THS is very respectful of your time. My usual stylist is Narcy(if she’s not already booked). Narcy does a great job and even though I am growing out my perm she has been able to keep my hair in the style that I like. I’ve also seen Vanessa when Narcy is booked. Vanessa is also a great stylist, does a good job and I can count on my style lasting for several weeks. The Front Desk staff is friendly and efficient. Great service. Great salon!

Excellent find! Had to schedule a last minute blow dry and they were able to squeeze me in. Narcy thoroughly shampooed and conditioned my hair, and then proceeded to do a terrific job blowdrying it. Now I’ll be able to go to my office party tomorrow night without the usual frizzy wash-and-go mess that I usually sport. Thanks, Narcy!

Terrible women’s haircut. Hair dresser failed to understand what i asked for. Expressed my disappointment to the front desk who offered to have another stylist touch up my hair. This was 2 weeks ago and I preferred not to get my hair spoiled further. For men’s haircuts this place might be better.

This place is A REALFIND! My husband and my adult daughters love this place, as do I. The people are super nice and super talented. Karen’s been cutting my hair for the last two+ years and she’s guided me through the transition from over-dyed hair back to my natural self, with grace and a superb series of haircuts. Since she came into my life I get lots and lots of compliments on my hair. Albert(the young owner), cuts my husband’s hair and he’s been going there for years. The atmosphere is easygoing– and the price is easy going on your wallet. I have nothing but PRAISE for this place and I’m so grateful that they are in our ever growing overly priced, overly trendy neighborhood. Tribeca Hair Studio is an oasis of normalcy and the real NY. Amen!

I have been going to Tribeca Hair Studio for almost 4 years to get my hair cut by Albert. First off, Albert does a great, consistent job on my hair every time I go. He’s also done a great job improving the salon. Service is always excellent and he’s a great example to other local businessmen in the area. I’ll be going there as long as I’m in the area.

I went to Tribeca Hair Studio only because I follow Irma! Irma used to work at Astor Place Hair but she moved over a year and a half ago. I have dark hair and wanted to get some highlights to cover pesky greys. Irma suggested to get caramel color highlights. I always go with her suggestions and tell her«whatever you say, Irma» because I trust her that much(and I’m a very picky person)! The results are stunning(hair color and haircut)! Perfect color for my skin. Everyone around me loves it so much! The salon hostess was also very nice and friendly as well. Overall, the best hair salon experience and I very highly recommend Irma to everyone! Thank you so much, Irma!

My hair turned out okay, but I had to be pushy with what I wanted(a glaze) because the lady kept saying I really wanted something else(a more expensive coloring). Her reason was that glaze washes out and it’s very temporary.(Remember this part for later). She said this as she stared at my exceptionally short hair which I had just finished telling her grows at an alarming rate and I will be keeping even shorter for summer(think mohawk, because, well, it’s a mohawk). When I picked the color, she acted so surprised, I thought I accidentally asked for a pet elephant. Then, as I was waiting for the color to set, a woman who was very upset about her hair color and near tears sat next to me. The hair stylist actually said to her she could fix it with a glaze. The woman asked«but that won’t last, right?» And here is the answer, no joke: «No! It will last. It will fix it!» She didn’t even look at me to see if I heard her straight up lie. So here I am with my decent glaze and all I can think about when I wash my hair is that poor woman watching her«fix» that will«last» wash out more each day.

I’m not sure what happened when I went here a few weeks ago. I called and got an appointment two hours before I was to get a hair cut. I think the woman who I saw assigned to was named Liliana. Something with an L. So I already hate having my hair cut and my usual hair stylist is out sick, but I just can’t stand how long my hair is. I always bring in a picture of what I want; this day I brought a picture of butch Rachel Maddow. Upon showing my picture to the stylist, she says she can’t do it, that I need to see the Barber because she doesn’t have«the machine,» whatever that is(and no, she didn’t mean clippers). The Barber says he’s too busy and that the stylist can do it. They’re arguing and not listening to what I say I want. Finally the stylist passes me off to Narcy. It’s the least chatty hair cut I’ve ever gotten as it’s obvious that I don’t speak Spanish and she knows little English. But she does a good job. So if you speak Spanish, go see Narcy. She’s a sweetheart. It’s that cut and the fact that the stylist who made my reservation thanked me by name when I left are the reasons why I didn’t give this one star. But yeah, I felt really really uncomfortable. I don’t know if the original stylist passed me off because she read me as Queer and didn’t want to service me. I don’t know if it was because she wanted a customer who would pay more or because she didn’t have enough time before the next person(she was doing highlights on someone’s hair when I left). I have no idea why she didn’t want to cut my hair. But it left a really bad taste in my mouth. Going to get my hair cut is stressful enough; I’m really not a fan of being nearly in tears because of it.
