La pasta de sepia de mariscos es 10 puntos al igual que el servicio. Muy recomendable si estás saliendo del teatro

This place is a total gem. The restaurant itself seems small, but seats a decent amount of people. Came here 8pm on a Friday without a reservation and was seated immediately. The service here was really top notch. Our waiter was just fabulous — very attentive, knowledgable, and really went out of his way to give us great service with a great experience. The prices here are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food. For an appetizer, I ordered the mozzarella di buffala. Great quality and taste, I enjoyed it immensely. Then I ordered the penne arrabbiata, which was seriously one of the best I’ve ever ate. Spicy, but not too spicy, the sauce was rich but not too overwhelming. They really nailed the dish. Overall, I really can’t recommend this place enough. I had such a great experience and look forward to eating there again.

You don’t expect to find exceptional restaurants in the touristy Times Square are, but this place was really enjoyable! Great ambience and central location, with solid Italian that’s not overpriced. I ordered the Calamari a la Luciana — risotto with a generous amount of calamari and black squid ink. I loved this. Portion was quite big — I wanted to finish it but was soooo full. The rice was incredibly creamy and rich, and the calamari was tender. The only con is the amount of squid ink — there was a LOT. The dish was basically a ring of rice around the plate that served as a «bowl» for the squid ink and calamari. The ink was definitely fantastic with the rice, but mixing all of it in made it too soupy. Otherwise, a really great and filling dish. My boyfriend got the rigatoni trecolori. I took a bite and thought it was delicious. The basil sauce was creamy yet not too rich, and the broccoli rabe and tomatoes added a healthy touch. The sausage it came with was very flavorful. I might’ve liked his dish even better than mine(and I liked mine a lot)! Next time I come here, I’ll probably try one of their pastas. Service was attentive, and the décor was nice as well. Great place for a pre-show meal or a date!

Came to Trattoria Trecolori for my birthday dinner ahead of a Broadway show and had a delightful time. Choosing a nice restaurant in the Theater District is never a happy or easy process; no matter where you go, you’ll need to manage your expectations. Trattoria Trecolori was great because it didn’t require me to manage my expectations TOO severely; this spot can hold its own. We came for a 4:30pm dinner, and the restaurant was full by 5:30pm with other show-going-families. It’s a popular spot because the menu items are old-school Italian, the food itself is delicious, and the white table cloths and doting staff give the whole experience a touch of elegance. Now, onto the food! We ordered the rigatoni with chicken in a light tomato cream sauce, a custom dish of gnocchi with pesto sauce, the lamb chops, and the salmon in wine sauce. It was all delicious. If you enjoy soul-warming pasta, you must order the rigatoni. The homemade gnocchi and pesto sauce was also bowl-licking good. I didn’t get to try the lamb chops or salmon but I heard they were tasty. My favorite part of the meal had to be the ricotta cheesecake. Not just because the restaurant started singing for me when it came out(I love that crap), but because this was some damn good ricotta cheesecake. Overall, a wonderful pre-theater restaurant!

Muy buena la pasta de sepia y marisco. Nos gustó el sitio. Buen trato. Aunque un poco ruidoso.

Yummy Italian fare and great location if you’re watching a Broadway play before/after. Prices are a little steeper than average though! I came with a friend at around 5:15, so we were able to snag a table without a wait, although it was a tiny high top close to the bar. Our part of the restaurant was really dimly lit, which I don’t prefer it, since I’m basic and like to take pics of my food. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive, so no complaints. We got the antipasto with seafood and eggplant to share as well as a linguine nere(squid ink pasta). Everything was really delicious and fresh, and they definitely excel in their sauces. The appetizer had delicious stuffed mushrooms, breaded and bacon-topped baked clams, and mini eggplant parmigianas. I loved the eggplant so much that I wish we’d ordered it as a dish instead of the appetizer sampler. The squid ink pasta was delicious, abundantly topped with fresh and tender seafood — shrimp, scallops, and squid. You can only very subtlety make out the squid ink in the pasta, as it’s just a bit more savory than usual. For dessert, I got the tartufo(imagine a spherical Klondike bar cut into four pieces, with raspberry jam in the center), and my friend got an affogato. Both were tasty, but I liked the affogato better. This is top notch Italian fare if you’re willing to pay the price(dishes around $ 16-$ 30, desserts around $ 8). Also, they added the gratuity in for us, so beware of that. Plus tip and tax, my bill came out to $ 37. But, prices aside, a Broadway show + a delicious Italian dinner at Trattoria Trecolori makes for an awesome night!
