I was very disappointed with my experience here. I was completely shocked to learn that he used a chemical that destroys the nail matrix permanently and thus forever alters the appearance of my toenail only after he performed the procedure. There was no medical need for the procedure — this technique is used for recurring ingrown nail issues and I had explained to him that my nail issue was due to a mechanical accident. So what I was told would be a regular post-​toenail surgery check up, turned out to be an unnecessary procedure that permanently altered my nail bed without providing me any information about it beforehand. I would never go back to his office.

I would advise NOT making an appointment or do business here. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour and when I was called up to the desk, the woman said that before I see the doctor, I would have to pay out of pocket over $ 200 (which the visit should have only been a $ 40 copay). When I asked why, she said my insurance deductible was exhausted. Then the doctor came out and said he could «make a deal» of «only» charging me out of pocket $ 200 for a consultation. I left without being seen.
Once I called my insurance company, they told me that the doctor was trying to charge me an out of contract consultation fee. The reason: the doctor gets paid more when it is out of contract.
And people wonder why we have a healthcare problem in this country. This office is part of the problem!

After 19 years of pain and limping Dr. Trahan was the Only doctor (and I’d seen a few) who finally told me I could do something about it; where others simply told me to put an insole in my shoes. I’m still healing, but I now have flexibility in a toe that was painfully fused by arthritis. I highly recommend this charming, and highly professional doctor!
