***TOURIST TRAP ALERT***
Now I know why this place hasn’t been added onto Unilocal yet, it’s one of those «ugly ass pretentious tourist traps» looking to suck in tourist money in a tourist/​food/​eatery deadzone of Manhattan. Apparently they have two locations one down in Delray Beach in Florida and now here in Flatiron District of New York. But hey, that doesn’t mean you gotta charge a fortune for something so tiny (I’ll get to the point starting from the 2^nd paragraph) From outside, this place looks like an interesting to purchase fun decorations, gifts, accessories and they have a section where they sell coffee, frozen yogurt & gelato.
However, I want to give this place 1 star only because I liked the decoration and the selection of goodies available at their store. I want to subtract 4 stars because I thought they were deceitful in their offerings and I got a feeling that they were a sort of a mini «tourist trap» for an area so deserted. I ordered a LARGE AMERICANO and I was given a half empty SMALL little cup (yeah the SAME size CUP from the local breakfast & coffee carts you see in the morning out in the streets of NYC) with my drink in it.
There were «LARGE» paper cups on the shelves and I wanted to make sure I was getting a «LARGE AMERICANO» so I asked the short-​haired girl behind the counter if I was getting the «LARGE SIZE» and she basically «rolled» her eyes and said «YEAH-​AH». Hey stupid ugly bitch, I’m sure you’ll lose your fucking job soon, learn to avoid speaking English with an ugly Eastern European accent, and do your job right. $ 3 for a LARGE Americano in that tiny little paper cup, I should’ve gone to Stumptown a block away and get me some REAL coffee. No wonder this place was EMPTY as F**K when I entered right after lunch while 7 Eleven had a long ass line.
***WAYY OVERPRICED AND DECEITFUL BUSINESS BEHAVIOR***
***AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU’RE A LOCAL AND HEAD OVER TO STUMPTOWN AT THE ACE HOTEL FOR YOUR COFFEE OR… A STARBUCKS A FEW STEPS AWAY… OR JUST GET COFFEE FROM 7 ELEVEN NEXT DOOR***
