Very cool country bar. Had great hot dogs and drinks. Live local band.

Go Pack Go!!! Green Bay Packers bar located in basically Hells Kitchen area give or take. The energy was freaking amazing & I’ve been to other Packer bars in NYC. Loved every moment of it watching a playoff game. The fans were mad cool(Pack fans are always cool) & the bartenders very attentive. The one guy I don’t remember his name but has a Clay Matthews beard() was very helpful in recommending Kelso beer as a substitute for Stella, great tasting Lager. I would highly recommend this country Packers bar that’s real down to earth with REAL fans.

Fantastic place to have a drink, and listen to some great music. The most authentic country bar in the city, and it also serves some great food. Love the whiskey specials while I’m listening to some Waylon, Willie, Darius or Dierks. Enjoy with some of the best bartenders in the City!

$ 5 whiskeys and solid country tunes in a non-pretentious, chill bar. Great service and heavy pours. The only downside was when they turned off the awesome music to put some boring-ass baseball game on, real loud. Everyone else in the bar seemed to enjoy that, though, so I suppose that could just be me sippin’ on sports hater-ade.

This place is so cute! I just stopped in around 4:30 while waiting for an appointment to have a beer and some guac. The guacamole was awesome! Super creamy and delicious. And definitely cheaper than most things on 9th Ave. The beer selection is pretty basic but it goes with the rustic feel of the bar. It’s also different from most of the bars in the area because of the country theme, so it’s nice to have something new. I’ll definitely be coming back with friends.

My favorite neighborhood bar! The bartenders Joe and Andy are the best. They have a jute box that has great country music — both classic and modern, and they switch out the albums regularly. Food is food… definitely try the queso and chips. Yum! They have trivia night, live music, football specials, and I think a $ 5 whiskey each day. I bring all of my friends here and they love it. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and on the weekend nights you’ll find yourself dancing and meeting cool new peeps!

My friend & I were looking for a laid back bar to go to for happy hour. She found the Waylon on Unilocal and I am so glad we ended up here. The staff is incredibly friendly, its a good space, the have a juke box loaded with country music(what more do you need), there was pretty fun crowd AND they have apple pie moonshine(which is delicious but it will 110% sneak up on you). Needless to say, we ended up staying the entire night and not just happy hour. I will definitely be back.

Not many vegetarian options here but the ones we had were pretty good. The fried pickles were doughy and nicely crisped. The bean and cheese tacos were dry and needed some heat.

The Waylon is a small country bar located in Hell’s Kitchen in NYC. The décor is great, the bar tenders were so much fun and engaged with the guests. They also have huge, super nice TVs where they aired the U.S. Open all evening. The juke box is also cheap, my boyfriend chose roughly 15 songs for $ 5. I don’t believe this is a touristy place, this seems more of a locals spot, which I love. It’s a great little gem if you’re a country person looking for a fun place in the city, with inexpensive drinks and fun conversation.

Finally got around to trying this place out and it’s definitely a great addition to the neighborhood. The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in Texas or any other southern state. Bartenders are friendly and it wasn’t overly crowded late on a Saturday night. They have a juke box full of country music to add to the saloon atmosphere and when I was there, a group of people were singing along. The drink prices are very reasonable($ 7 – 15 for whiskey depending which brand you get), and the food is great. We got a bucket of fries with chipotle mayo which was excellent. I really want to try their other food like the chicken torta and fried oreos and Snickers! The décor is perfectly Western and just adds to the feeling of being in another state. Overall, I had a great time and I’ll definitely be back to try more!

Just loved this place. A great jukebox, $ 5 Whisky of the Day(at my visit it was Dickel!), fried pickles, and a charming bartender. What more could you want?

I’m gradually working towards being known as the person at the end of the bar with the Boulevard Tank 7 and cheese dip on my face.

It was sad to see Druids close but what replaced it has been a gem. We walked past the pub a few hundred times since we live in the neighborhood but finally stopped by this past Saturday. Waylon himself was tending bar and offered a friendly welcome and great service. Wife had the taco’s and friend pickles, I had the steak sandwich and gravy. We both had whiskey as you should in an old west styled haunt. They offer very nice whiskey at this joint but they also offer $ 5 whiskey of the day. A Glenlivit and jameson black later, and a $ 5 shot of dickel’s and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. The only thing missing at this bar was Al Swearengen sitting in a corner(deadwood reference). The jukebox was a nice added touch, can’t say i’ve been anywhere that played Kenny Loggins in NYC before. Definitely will revisit this pub.

Cool little spot! We are first timers visiting from Cali. Whenever we come to NY we always look for new spots. It has a country vibe with jute box playing country music, two large TVs and a food menu that looks pretty good. This review is not on the food since we did not We’ll be be back on our next visit.

If you’re in Hell’s Kitchen, this is one of the few bars worth going to. The design inside is «country» without being hokey. Get the queso and chips. NOT a tourist trap!

On our recent trip to NYC(and stayed right around corner in Hell’s Kitchen) from Dallas, had to check out this new and hot bar! Great vibe, classy décor(i.e., not shtick over-the-top Western theme) and a jukebox stuffed with fantastic tracks! Had a great visit with Andrew(pronounce that in his heavy, Scottish brogue) and some great drinks were in order. Dug his Shiner tee that he was wearin’…I dropped a hint to be NY unique by bringing in Austin’s very own Deep Eddy Vodka(it looks like Tito’s is ubiquitous across NY bars), to add to that Texas authenticity! Great spot, will definitely revisit upon our next trip in October. Cheers, and salut! pk
