I stayed in a twin bed private room. The room had a tv and windows that opened (no air con). The neighbourhood is in Harlem and you are in walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants. I liked this place.
The hostel offers a really good continental breakfast in the form of bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, cereal etc. in the price. This is a great way to meet other travellers, and on Wednesday nights they have free pizza (only cheese and tomato but it’s free so you can’t complain). Individual showers are lockable.
You can borrow a hairdryer from reception if you leave your passport, and they have a luggage room where you can store your belongings if you have a late flight.

the free breakfasts are awesome and helps with the costs of NYC. staff are really friendly except for one guy who was rude to everyone and everytime i encountered him. stay here its an awesome place. oh and the little kittens made it even better. location is pretty good, i wouldnt stay anywhere further out of manhattan
