A super fancy bar/restaurant, but the hostess and bartenders were extremely friendly. We sat at the bar and the bartender came over promptly to drop off menus. He also patiently answered my questions as I decided what to get. Great views as well! Just know that everything is $$$$$…

This blonde waitress came up to us and told us to leave because there are customers waiting… Like seriously… We are enjoying our drinks and chilling. There is no reservation at a freakin bar… When we asked if we can have 10 mins? She told us «No.» So did someone gave her cash to kick us out or what?

Love the views, the crowd, the views from the bathroom(but not the actual toilets themselves because they remind me of toilets in public rest stops and the beach bathrooms). The frites with aioli sauce were awesome— my friend and I were basically battling to get as many of those as we could. Pass on the Korean chicken and go to K-Town if you want some real Korean chicken. Cocktails here– you’re paying for the view and scene, so who cares what the drinks taste like. I loved that they had live music when I was here. The place turns into Members Only after 9 on Saturdays. I wish we had been able to go to Le Bain afterwards, but for some reason we went downstairs and saw the line to get into Le Bain and decided to pass.

Awesome! Loved everything about this place! Great service, tasty drinks, and the view was amazing! The interior was decorated nicely with very comfortable seating throughout the lounge area. It’s definitely the place to go with a large group or an intimate date.

OMG! To all my friends: anyone who ever has a birthday, baby, wedding or any other major life event, please have your party here! The bar, the view and the people made you feel like you were at the height of New York’s opulence. The Top of The Standard or the Boom Boom Room is a must have New York experience. It was such great experience for the price of $ 20 cocktail. Their exclusive door policy had groups of people on the outside coveting to get in. We were lucky enough to go thanks to a friend of a friend. It was my friend’s 30th, so her friend placed us on the private-event list(after 11pm). There was a heart-stopping second when they couldn’t find my name… But thankfully, we sorted everything out. We stepped into the doorway, past a velvet curtain to the infamous elevator. The elevator to the top has two plasma TVs on both sides, playing a psychedelic video of cartoon characters and colors(think Alice in Wonderland and Daffy Duck) and the video changes depending on the time you ride the elevator. Then we coat checked and waited for a huge bouncer to open the heavy metal doors. Wow! So Great-Gatsby-eque! Golden-gilded leather lounge chairs. Gold paneling and a beautiful wood paneled bar. The center of the bar looks like a beautiful golden and red-tinted column blooming into the ceiling, in the middle of the room. BBR has a gorgeous 360 views of Manhattan, a beautiful circular dance floor for you to shake your booty(and enjoy the NY skyline), and a fun variety of music(Talking Heads, G-eazy, UK pop, Jay Z, EDM…). The night we went, there was a wedding party, so I don’t know if the people there are always so exquisitely decked out. The ladies had on haute couture designer gowns and their best heels; the men had 3 piece suits or ironed button up. Even the waitresses had these tailored off-white origami dresses and delicate 3″ off-white heels. Pro tip: Ladies, bring out your best dress and polish your heels! Its always better to be overdressed than underdressed(esp. here). Everyone was having a blast! I could have danced here all night but our party had to leave for Club number 2. I loved it! Am I coming back? Yes! Put me on that list!

I was visiting from LA and used to the snobby front door BS so we expected some similar hassle. This place was absolutely ridiculous. The hipster Australian-Asian girl at the front was a total joke that it was embarrassing to watch. We stopped by to meet some local friends at around 9:30pm. She told us that anyone after 9 must be on «the list.» Are you kidding? Who parties at 9pm? She was nonchalant and rude. We told her that our friends are on the list and she pretended to check the list and then dismissed us. Do yourself a favor and give your money next door where the music was pumping and the views insane.

By far my favorite place in the city! If you go often enough they will give you a table on request without a reservation. The best drink to go for is the«Million Dollar» cocktail(Season Drink). Pair that with the Waygu and frites(fries). The most stellar view of the city is on the side facing the World Trade Center!

If you’ve seen the movie Gatsby, you will know precisely what I’m talking about as soon as you enter the Boom Boom room. The place screams out luxury, elegance, old-fashioned classical style, creating the illusion that you’ve successfully traveled back in time to a century where social elites and business moguls party their nights away while gambling. I had just finished dinner with a friend who was visiting New York from Paris before we headed to the top of Standard hotel on a Sunday night, which turned out to be a great time to go since it’s less crowded, there was no line at all. As soon as we arrived, we were introduced to the coat check for us to store our winter jackets for free(you can give tips afterwards at your will). My french girlfriend and I subsequently were guided through this arched circular door that looked exactly like the door you would see in the hobbit house in the movie Hobbit. I’m not kidding! It was surreal. Through the arched door opens a grand 360-degree view of New York city that was absolutely breathtaking, as my french friend went«O-La-La, c’est magnifique!» A beautiful waitress led us to a table near this tall-ceiling window reflecting the chandelier in the center of the boom boom room– I was mesmerized. Of course the waitresses and bartenders were all great-looking people complementing the style of this place. The crowd was not bad either, a lot of them dressed chic for the occasion. Drinks were undoubtedly expensive as it offered you an unprecedented experience to a gorgeous view of New York city night, a place where you can see many iconic buildings such as the empire state and the chrysler building. I would definitely recommend anyone who visit the BOOMBOOMROOM to check out its bathrooms– a great surprise awaiting for you to discover yourself! Let’s just say it’s not for the faint of heart lol.

The minute I stepped foot at The Top Of The Standard, I thought I was in 007’s ‘Goldfinger’ movie. The Top Of The Standard, has all the elements of a James Bond movie: 1960’s elegance, a room with a beautiful view, nice-looking people and well prepared, lip-smacking drinks. My Unilocal friends and I, had just finished with Brunch a few feet away and wanted to extend our evening. We used the ladies room before heading into the lounge. Let me make something known(if you haven’t experienced it yourself), restrooms had all the deluxe features of an ultra fancy HGTV McMansion! My friends and I were taken aback by the breathtaking views of the restrooms. After we snapped a gazillion and one pictures of the restrooms and still feeling giddy, I tried to get it together quick. The Top Of The Standard is simply, no place to get rowdy and honestly, I didn’t want my true colors coming out! On top of that, I had on jeans, long sleeve T-shirt and worse, leather black Converse– I was so-o-o underdressed for this fancy affair! But I made the most out of it. The lounge itself is opened to an escapade of lights offering an alluring panoramic view of the Hudson. The scene really took my breath away. The girls and I observed every corner of the lounge, then continued taking more pictures: some doing catwalks and some desperately wanting to continuously take more pictures– as if we didn’t have enough ;-). A 3 or 4 piece orchestra playing nice renditions of soft jazz music set the mood for a cool night. Drinks were unique, tasty and pricey and we enjoyed every sip. Experiencing The Top Of The Standard was ultimately sexy in the end. And, you’re getting the whole package: location, vibe and classiness.

It’s Amazing Rooftop 360 view of NYC, Impressive with Awesome hospitality from the from the front thru out the bartender, drink and dinner is fantastic. Was with my clint just move here from UK, she was very impress with environment. Do feel like this is the very great feeling, have very present time of the evening. *Most of all I had leave my personal belonging computer bag with my passport, driver license, at the dinner table, do not notice anything missing after. We paid the check and leaving to the lobby. When back up to the club it’s gone, but the same lady and gentleman front desk mention about; they have call security bring that computer bag to security room. When i’m back down stair lobby at the reception, very Noble and Honest team of professional the staff present everything back to me. And would not except any compensation, I have been back for the last many years.

First of all, the ambience here is just spectacular. The bathroom has the city view, it is quite impressive and fancy. The drinks are well made, although $ 30 for a cocktail is really pricey but it is all about the ambience and once in a while type of hangout. We walked in and got a table right at the view, it was gorgeous, the music was very good and the ambience was amazing.

Dropped in a for a few drinks while we were walking around the Meatpacking District and really enjoyed the ambiance and service. Spectacular views of Lower Manhattan and Mid-Town from both the bar and tiered seating along the windows. Cocktail list is moderate with a decent amount of traditional cocktails and some newer creations if you are feeling adventurous. I started with an Boulevardier which was expertly prepared and well-sized for $ 18. I followed this with an equally well prepared Sazerac which was also the same price. Both were offered with mid– to high-level spirits and they allowed me to switch out a Bourbon for a another option which I preferred. The wife had a Valencia which she also enjoyed and our friend had an Aviation which she also reported to be delicious. Service at the bar was attentive and they explained their methods in preferences in preparing the drinks. It did eventually get very busy so try to arrive by 5 to gurantee a seat. Be advised, there is a dress code and thankfully they enforce it.

Place: views are great. I’d come back if I got a reservation and just wanted to chill with friends but remembered to dress up… Host/door person: kinda snobby and dressed ridiculously. Forever 21 gold glitter mini and sling low cut never came back. In fact almost showing your nipples also never came back. Sorry. Trashy beginning to a want to be throw back style bar. I definitely got the look of why aren’t you more dressed up. I was surprised we got in since she def. gave me the vibe. Plus, we kinda got the shit end of the stick when it comes to service. Drinks: very pricey, yet didn’t blow my mind. I’ve had any better cocktails. So kinda disappointed. I would say. Sure you can come here. Just come dressed up and expecting you might be turned away and the service might be weird. It isn’t friendly. It wants to be exclusive and high class. I think class comes from being classy. But hey that’s just me.

Fantastic NYC rooftop experience with Amazing views of NYC and NJ to share with out of town friends and clients. Brought an out of town guest here and the outrageous views, NYC chic club type vibe impressed. One part feels clubby with its music, and walking past the lit up communal hot tub was def something interesting I had never seen before. The rooftop views were spectacular and everyone we talked to was friendly, interesting and fun. My friend had an amazing time at this rooftop. Definitely Rec to bring out of town guests and clients for fantastic atmosphere, stunning Top views in NYC and an overall impressive, fun NYC vibe.

Average overpriced cocktails but it’s all about the view/environment. If you get a table it’s very easy to spend a few happy hours here.

Got in with no problem on a Friday night. Pretty nice looking place. Cocktail attire is required. Makes you feel very glamorous. VERY expensive. My husband and I had about 4 drinks and the bill was over $ 100. Nice place to visit once but never again. The Standard Hotel is a very pretentious spot, much like most of the Meatpacking district. If you’re into that sort of thing, you’ll like it.

If the views don’t take your breath away the prices will, but if you didn’t see that coming you wandered into the wrong lounge. Can’t really take points away for being pricey because the place is top to bottom elegant(in a modern way). The staff is great and the décor is amazing, beautiful curved golden wood floor to ceiling. And if you turn around some of the best views in the city North, East, and South(West is Jersey so why bother). Gonna keep this one short and sweet. It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for!

Incredibly beautiful, stunning, outstanding venue. I was blown away by everything within TOTS, the elegance, the staff, the views, etc. Having been staying at The Standard hotel, came up here for a pre-dinner drink with two of my friends. The bartenders were super friendly, the rest of the staff nice, but a little intimidating. We were dressed in black dresses, high heels, makeup and hair professionally done, and still, the maitre’D was hesitant to let us in, but did anyway(not sure what that was about.) In all fairness, most of the patrons looked much older, and we were in our early 20’s, so maybe she thought we would cause a ruckus, not sure. Would definitely recommend coming here for a date night or celebrating a special occasion, it’s a wonderful and incomparable experience! Deducting one star, because despite dressing to the 9’s and having wonderful behavior, it is easy to feel like everyone is judging you intently which could make for an uncomfortable experience. Also, I understand the high pricing, but some of it was truly unfounded. $ 30 for a typical glass of Riesling… meh. Really do love it though, absolutely breath taking, would love to visit again. I only came for a cocktail, but would love to check out the night life scene here!
