Really good and rarely crowded. I’m gonna regret saying this, but don’t bother with the lines at Hot Kitchen and Han Dynasty. The flavors and quality are just as good here. The tan tan mian noodles are a must, and the spicy sliced cucumber are also really great. We’ve tried a different entrée every time we’ve gone and they’ve all been good.

2.5 star this is the SAME place as the Mentaiko ramen placed where I got food poisoning from that was shut down just a month or 2 ago. And I believe the same owner and same staffs. And the interior was exactly the same as Mentaiko ramen. They did not re-renovate at all Me being a groupon queen, I came with another groupon on a Wednesday night. And this place was empty. We were the only customers throughout the whole dinner. Soup: egg drop and hot and sour: both were just ok. Definitely had better Appetizer: tang tang noddle: super salty again. with tons of MSG. nothing special Entrée: beef stew: super lack in flavor and it was labeled as being very spicy but it was not spicy at all. Hot pepper chick: the worst one of all. Not authentic at all. Too much breading and no flavor. Service: decent. I almost felt bad for the waitress working for such a slow place overall: not authentic Sichuan food at all. Go to the one on St marks, or even Hot Kitchen just around the corner. I am just happy at least this time, I didn’t get food poisoning again. sorry but i won’t be coming back again

Yes, yes, yes. Love this new Szechuan place so much. Eric and I went on a Friday and had dan dan noodles(they were called something different), a spicy fried chicken dish and an eggplant dish. All were absolutely delicious with huge portions. We liked it so much that we brought my dad back on Sunday night and enjoyed it just as much. I really hope this place does well. Super friendly service and really excellent food!

Delicious and spicy beef tendon with chili oil(they add garlic, cilantro and peanuts for an extra kick) Savory chilled crispy cucumber with lots of scallion flavor Egg drop soup was just ok Pretty good double cooked pork(it’s a lot tougher than hot kitchen which tastes like boiled bacon consistency-wise) HUGE portions and GREAT prices! I was a little sad they changed Mentaiko to another Sichuan restaurant but the Red Pepper did a great job! I can’t wait to come back and try everything else, just wish they were open for lunch and offered scallion pancakes and wontons in chili oil like they do at Han Dynasty(which I think is overrated, I’d rather eat the Red Pepper with no crazy wait and better flavor!)
