Mud truck is pretty good. Strong tasty coffee. I like the ice coffee mocha. Definitely does the trick and at $ 3.25 it’s a pretty good deal.

Good coffee, really dark how I like it. Just have to be lucky enough to run into the truck or be in its area!

Of the many places to stop for coffee, the mud truck certainly is one of the most fun. Have a chat with your new friends in line, or step up to enjoy some great coffee. All the while you can watch the construction of 40 Astor Place happening right behind, as a giant crane lifts multi-ton beams. I enjoy the iced coffee, but the drip isn’t bad either.

Me and my English Bulldog are regular patrons of the Mud Truck. The drinks are good, the service is friendly, and the dog treats are always in play!

Check out the truck on Astor Place. Mud Mocha is so good! Hot or iced. I love supporting this truck.

They make a BANGIN’ cup-o-joe. I buy their beans here for regular drip coffee too. I’m not a huge fan of their espresso drinks, but if you want coffee, who would have guessed your best choice would be out of a car-door-window.

A great NY coffee institution. I used to go to their E. Village storefront, but the truck brings it right to the people. If you’re a coffee drinker, make it your business to get some from here instead of Starbucks.

It is extremely potent and does the job. This does the trick to keep New Yorkers awake. It is serious stuff. Dependable for a powerful cup of coffee but a little too strong for me. I have had coffee at the truck and store.

MUD! it’s how REAL coffee should taste like!!! I’m much more of a Tea drinker but I love the MUDTRUCK!!! I drink coffee once in a blue moon but once I do, I drink the best! Drinking good coffee is like drinking fine wine. You need to take it slowly and taste the flavor(s). 5 Stars because it stay true to the Coffee!

I randomly walked over to try it out. I got a ice coffee. If you’ve ever had an iced latte(espresso), you know that it’s a long stronger and has a very different flavor from iced coffee. However, Mudtruck’s ice coffee is really strong and reminded me of an iced latte even though it definitely coffee. It’s one of the best ice coffees I’ve had. It’s a decent price.

It’s snowing, windy and freezing so what do we do? We get drinks from the Mudtruck! Ok so I’ve always wanted to try the MUD truck and even though it’s located at the same place according to their website I feel like the truck mysteriously appears. I love how it’s parked near a starbucks(good marketing MUD people) and that the MUD truck employees are always cheerful and up for a conversation even though you are not. Get the larger size of whatever you are ordering. I highly recommend the coffee, chai and coca. They always add a few dashes of cinnamon to each drink. Mmmmmm

If I could serenade Chai, this is what I would say to it… Come Doused in mud Cept in bleach As I want you to be As a trend A a friend As a known memory ah Memory ah Memory ah Memory ah CHAINIRVANA! Same brunette at this location. I was pleasantly surprised to see the truck here, as I guess she switches between the two locations. I also didn’t know that there was a MUD café. –Big Chai($ 5) — awesome as always, prob the best flavor they have, the holy grail of all Chais –Big Moccacino($ 4.50) — they use Ghirardelli chocolate sauce for their chocolate, not as impressed, as Chai flavor set the bar very high

How do you take your coffee Mr. Wolf? Lots of Cream, Lots of Sugar. Saturday/Sunday mornings I’m privileged to have many coffee options within a 1 block radius which include: a) Joe’s The Art of Coffee b) Jack’s Coffee c) Dunkin Donuts d) Starbucks e) The Mudtruck When it comes to coffee, I’m a simple dude. I like my coffee regular with cream and sugar, that’s it. I couldn’t tell ya how to order at Starbucks with all the slick lingo and variations. Just give me a regular coffee. So, pretty please… with sugar on top. a) I don’t like Joe’s because I feel claustrophobic inside, especially by the cream/sugar/napkin table. Also those hipsters make coffees & teas out of order. The cashier people are really nice, but the ones making the orders always rub me the wrong way. Plus, I don’t own a dog, so I’m not frontin in the front benches acting like I’m a cool person in West Village sippin coffee w/a newspaper and my dog. You used to be a dry-cleaning store, now you got people hanging out there just because. Oh and the coffee is just alright. b) I like Jack’s Coffee because I once wore an Ol’ Dirty Bastard T-Shirt that said, «Forever Dirty» in the front and the girl making my coffee screamed out«DIRTY!!!» That was cool, she got it. I like Jack’s because it’s been there way before Joe’s, plus Kiefer Sutherland lives right next door. It’s OG, an original gangsta West Village coffee shop. Their regular big coffee has a strong bite though, kinda like dark chocolate. So sometimes I be having dragon breath afterwards. Not so nice. c) Dunkin Donuts, ahh man. I only come here if I don’t have cash on me and I wanna use my debit card. Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Croissant and medium coffee please! d) Starbucks, eh, it is what it is. e) The Mudtruck son. Old school, simple, NY roach coach style, friendly people, and good coffee. Large coffee please, cream and sugar. $ 2 straight up. That orange cup looks good too. Oh Mikey you don’t want all that Pirates Of The Caribbean horseshit, or the Rock and Roll Grunge Tip. Guys like you and me gotta kick it here, old school.

The Mudtruck is always a happy little orange sight to behold whenever I happen to be wandering around the part of the west village in need of a coffee fix(which is more often than you’d think). Mud’s coffee is definitely unique. It has kind of a grungy slightly bitter taste to it, but believe it or not that’s not a bad thing — I quite like it. It’s different. I’ve had everything from an iced coffee to a cappuccino and it always hits the spot. It’s always staffed by exactly the kind of guy you’d expect to be working in a mobile coffee-mobile. Plus I like the little Peace Sign American Flag hanging from the side. Since the actual Mud is on the East Side, this is more than likely where I’ll be coming for a fix.

I’ve been seeing these cute little, hippie trucks around the neighbourhood, and always got scared of the crowd. Then now, they park right outside my stop, and so i thought i’d give it a shot.(there were only 2 other people in line) didn’t need anything too strong for the day, so gave up my usual shot of expresso, and went with the Mud Mocha. delicious. beautiful blend of cocoa-favor and coffee, without the syrups and the gross chocolaty sweetness. will be walking a few more blocks just to get Mud again. yay!
