THEHOODIESHOPISSOOOOAWESOME!!! I never write reviews and I felt compelled to give these guys map props. Hosted a client event there last night and everyone is still raving about it today! Desiree worked with me to order food and drinks, and she set everything up before everyone arrived to start eating, drinking and shopping! The hoodies in the store are so unique, and everyone got to walk away with a hooded gift. They also have a retro pinball machine that works, a rad couch that seats 5 people, and they supplied tunes for the night that were crazy-good. AJ helped with the event and was totally cool and professional. They encouraged us to try on everything in the store and were super knowledgable about the products. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to host a unique, fun and memorable event. Can’t wait to go back!!!

The shop itself is cool as far as décor. The salesperson was really nice and helpful. The selection of hoodies was fairly small as the shop is small. I found one that I really loved white with small black polka dots by Alternative Earth. They only carried it in a men’s hoodie, so I got the size small which was still too big for my small frame, but I figured, it’ll be a baggy hoodie. I also bought a gift card for a male friend. That was in March. I have worn it a handful of times since then because I have no need for a hoodie in spring and summer heat. I just pulled it out of my closet to wear in a cold air-conditioned class and noticed it already has balls all along the side and inside of the arm where one’s arm rests against the body and the front pockets are stetched out. I still wear hoodies that I bought 14 years ago at Express and 10 years ago at Urban Outfitters, so one looking raggedy and worn out after a couple of wears is crazily ridiculous. Hoodies are supposed to be a staple that you can wear all the time for years, especially if the hoodie costs upwards of $ 75. I woudn’t buy one there again. I am really disappointed in the quality and would go in in person to complain if I didn’t live in Austin, TX. I really expected to love this hoodie for the next decade and but instead I feel like I threw money in the trash.

Okay, so aside from having the dopest selection of hoodies and jackets, this place is just amaze. From the staff, to the jams, and the videos… i just didn’t want to leave. I wanted to take some clients out and found The Hoodie Shop after doing some digging on cool places to hit up in NYC. This place didn’t disappoint. I spoke with Aleah, the owner, and she helped me accommodate my group of 15 people. She gave me some great local food recommendations and offered to help set up the booze and what not. We were told we would have the store closed down for us, so we could shop, and party uninterrupted. This place did NOT disappoint. I loved everything about it. The selection is unique, the quality of the pieces are amazing, and above everything else, everyone loved the items they picked out, and had a great time. I personally picked out this amazing onesie. yes, onesie. And it feels like buttuh on my body. As soon as I got home, I wore it three days straight. I can’t wait to hit this place up next time I am in town.

I can’t say enough great things about The Hoodie Shop. A breath of fresh air from the typical SOHO fashion shops. A place where you walk in and feel instantly cool and overwhelmed with more apparel with hoods than you can dream of. Was surprised as I thought the store would ONLY sell hooded sweatshirts, but to my delight, I purchased this amazing leather jacket(of course with a hood) as well as a long feminine flannel that somehow makes you feel cute and sexy versus frumpy. I loved the store so much that I’ve hosted client entertaining events at night as well! The owner was very accommodating, allowed us to close the venue for a private party, have a local restaurant cater the event(Who doesn’t love the meatball shop when you don’t have to wait in line to eat the food), as well as have extra staff working the party to make each client feel special when choosing their hoodie. Highly recommend for a Saturday afternoon treat to yourself, or, using for larger events to utilize the great space(and amazing video projector in the back of the store… we rocked out to Michael Jackson and Talking Heads).

I think the hoodie shop is pretty cool too, I was in the Orchard street area last night and went in for a visit. The design of the place is really nice. I saw the state of the art seat sort of in a seat that was there. It just looks cool, It honestly looks like two giants chairs facing each other that you can just sit in and chill. I think the prices are kind of out there, I saw one cool design hoodie with a black, red and yellow triangle type design then I saw the price and size. Umm, only available in small, and $ 174, okay– really. I’m good. There was big screen in the back that was showing some concerts. Check it out if you are in the area.

This place is cool. The first thing that caught my eye was the amazing décor… there’s this floral/paisley hand-painted motif going through the whole place. They have a lit marquee over the cash register, and in the back they have a big screen showing replays of George Clinton concerts. The music is quite good. All of the stock is hanging on irregular hooks throughout the shop. The selections run from a pretty simple set of $ 60 hoodies and jackets all the way up to around $ 350 or so. I didn’t look at all the tags, but the things I was interested in fell somewhere around $ 100, which is not terribly unreasonable for a fashionable hood. I remember working in a t-shirt factory, where we could get American Apparel things at cost, and that former version of me is screaming in my brain wondering how I could think any piece of clothing that is $ 150 could be «reasonable.» I’m not sure how it works, but, well… the quality of the pieces they have in the shop, compared with similar things I’ve seen around the city, it’s pretty reasonable. Now, I’m not sure when I’ll actually purchase the $ 100 hoodie, but it keeps staring at me… So yeah, if you want a cool place to get some cool duds and you won’t have to get a loan to wear them, try the Hoodie Shop.
