I’ve been attending Center Studio for three years, and it is no exaggeration to say that it has changed my life. I have gotten so much stronger and more flexible, my posture has completely changed, and my herniated disk problems have improved dramatically. The instructors here are sophisticated, with knowledge not only of the Pilates method, but also an understanding of physiology. They cater to all levels, from absolute beginners to those who have been practicing for years. All ages are welcome, and they are also able to help those with injuries. Highly recommended.

I have been a regular client of the studio for several years now. I have found the instructors to all be very knowledgeable about pilates, anatomy, physical rehabilitation/​injuries and MELT. I suffered severe back injuries many years ago and they have all been careful to work within my limits without baby-​ing. The front desk staff is also first rate. They are 2 steps ahead of me and constantly find me open times when I can’t keep my weekly appointments. All in all, a fantastic experience for both mind and body.

I was introduced to this studio from a friend at work who always raves about the superb quality of instruction and the private pilates lessons. Their Upper West Side location is extremely convenient and you would be surprised at the great prices. Very intimate setting and a great place to go whether you are a beginner or experienced.

Don’t shriek when you read this, but i had never done Pilates before (bowing head down on muffintop with shame). Yet the good people of The Center Studio welcomed me to their shrine of abdoliciousness and I’m loving it!
This joint is way intimate (tiny) and very well-​run. It’s open to members and non-​members of the JCC Health Club, and is inside the JCC.
I have had classes with Sabrina and Bethany — both great. Kevin, the manager, is super and friendly when scheduling appointments, answering questions, etc.
I can’t afford it — so that sealed the deal and I signed up immediately! I think the prices are comparable to other such places in the area, and the private attention or very small groups ideal.
