They have now updated their bar menu in The Ace Hotel with vegetarian and vegan options.

I rarely gave out any reviews for any restaurants but I am so sorry to do this; the place does not even deserve one star. The seafood was poorly prepared since fragments of shellfishes could cut your mouth. Staffs were rude and ignorant, I was there on Friday 10, 2016 waiting to be seated for lunch, lots of empty tables and I was standing for 5 mins. But this is the worst thing, they charged my card twice for no reason, and when I called to solve the problem, they did not even want to talk to me, they promised calling me back but never heard anything from them. I lived here for a long time and I have never seen anyplace to be aware to go to, This will be the first name on my shame-list

The drinks are good. The food is a little bit too salty for my taste. My friends who I went with also agreed. The terrine plate is good though. It took a whole hour to get the entrée for some reason. The staff told us that the food is getting plated while we waited but then they told us that it was actually for another larger table. That larger table sat down after us, so none of that all made sense. Anyways, it was good to try, but probably won’t come back. There are a lot of other good restaurants in the area.

Breslin Bar is a restaurant located in the Ace Hotel. Walk past the Ace Hotel entrance and Stumptown Coffee Roasters. Use the N/R train that drops you off at 28 st. I came for brunch on Saturday morning and the restaurant was not busy. Breslin is decorated similarly to the hotel next door– dark wood and small eclectic knick knacks. It has a cozy feel. The food is British-inspired and the menu includes a full English breakfast, black pudding and the like. I wanted the oatmeal with non dairy milk, but the oatmeal pre-made in cow milk. I ordered an English breakfast tea that came in its own tea kettle and a banana muffin. The muffin is small(a little too small as a meal) and very sweet– too sweet for breakfast. Breslin is a good spot for brunch if you’re looking for a hearty meal. The dark décor and wood brings very little natural light to the dining room so you won’t be able to enjoy the summer sun. I’d rather come for dinner or during the fall/winter.

The Breslin bar is a good place to chill and get some really good bar food that gos well with a drink. The lamb burger was particularly good. The bread a protein pairing was great. I also loved the scotch egg and meat pie. Both really well prepared. An all round good restaurant and pretty decent bar.

Good for drinks and styled well but don’t even bother with the food. Ordered brunch and felt the menu was cheating on portion size for no reason. Unimpressed. Flavors of sauces well represented but would never recommend other than to avoid … Many better places in NYC for food … If I’m going to get ripped off I at least would like to feel as though it was worth it on some level … I literally would have rather gone hungry and given 30 bucks to a homeless person.

My friends and I came here for a late lunch. We found out about this place as a recommendation from a bartender at a nearby restaurant. This was one of the few places that was open around 4p where some other restaurants are closed in between lunch and dinner. We all tried the lamb burger. It is a bestseller there & is phenomenal. It is served medium rare. I ordered it medium well and really enjoyed it. This is by far the best burger that I have tried. I considered missing my train on the way back to get this burger again. Definitely try it! You will not be disappointed.

This was a very interesting place. We had a reservation and got there maybe 45 mins earlier in hope to be sitted faster. We still had to wait but noticed that there were empty tables inside. We ordered the following: –Bombay mix: tasted Ok, something that might have paired with beer –scotch egg: the sausage was a bit on the salty side but like the melting yolk part –seafood sausage: different and definitely my favorite –baby beets and tarragon: a little on the citrus side for the roasted beets but liked the flavor of the tarragon –broccoli rabe: little salty –Burrata with roasted carrots: mozzarella was really fresh and goes will with the greens –duck: this was perfect, tender and well seasoned Nice atmosphere for a girls night out.

It’s very dark in this trendy spot, and the menu has all the things a foodie wants, though overpriced. Honestly, if we had only gotten the lamb burger, this would be a 4.5 star place. But because we tried a variety of other dishes, this is more like 2.5 stars. We got: — Braised lamb belly($ 17) — very small portion, great flavor, overall very delicious — Burrata($ 18) — this was terrible. Because burrata is so trendy right now, I feel like I have a pretty good read on whether a restaurant’s burrata is good or not, and this was honestly one of the worst burratas I’ve ever had. — Scotch egg($ 10) — very good, but just a tad too salty. — 2 Lamb burgers($ 22 each) — the absolute superstar of the entire night. Perfectly juicy and deliciously cooked meat, soft bun, crispy fries(also a tad too salty though). — Broccoli rabe($ 10) — this was so bad that we had to return it. Overly garlicky and overwhelmingly seasoned. We had wonderful service and the drinks were great, so that’s why I’m giving this place 3 stars instead of 2. If you decide to come, do yourself a favor and only get the lamb burger.

Saw an article on «affordable michelin star» ish restaurant and had to come try. It is very much«affordable michelin star» quality however the portions are made for ants lol The braised lamb belly was amazing. Melts in your mouth kind of amazing. It would’ve been cool if they had served it with maybe some sort of crostini The duck breast was amazing. Cooked perfectly medium rare. I would come back again and try the famous lamb burger. ps could you please turn the light up a little bit. just a tiny bit thanks

My family decided to try The Breslin for breakfast. The place is beautifully furnished with rustic designs, although dimly lit for an early morning. We came around 10am on a Saturday morning and didn’t have to wait for a table. One thing I didn’t appreciate was the closely arranged seats, which made getting in and out of our booth a struggle. When we ordered coffee, they had forgotten to give us teaspoons and even ran out of them(?!), and instead gave us tablespoons to stir our hot drinks. For a one Michelin star restaurant, this is real disappointing and just strange altogether. Anyway, getting to the food — we ordered the pancakes, cheese sandwich and chargrilled skirt steak. The pancake is lovely, boasting a light batter with delicious maple syrup and butter. The cheese sandwich is amazing, well-seasoned and huge in portion. Unfortunately, the skirt steak was too salty so I sent it back to the kitchen. When the new serving of steak came, it was bland and completely salt-less. I didn’t know how to feel about this, except to feel slightly«punished» for sending a dish back.

Gorgeous gastropub earns 3.5 stars — 3.7 stars for food, 3 stars for service, 4 stars for ambiance. Scotch egg — killer — largest Scotch egg I’ve ever seen(size of my fist), flavor packs a punch Herbed Caesar salad did not disappoint — beautifully dressed Lamb burger with thrice cooked chips — worth the hype, a simple but handsome burger. Chips were divine Lamb belly — indulgent Rounding down as we waited 30+ minutes despite having a reservation, but otherwise a tasty experience!

I’m on the fence. As the occasional visitor to NYC I’ve only been here twice. The first time this place was amazing… drop dead amazing. The second time… it was good but just kind ok-good. Now I’m walking the line. That said, the food is solid, the place is cozy, and the Lamb Burger is as good as they said. I need a third trip back to the city to have a tiebreaker.

All you need to know: lamb. burger. Seriously, the hype is real and they’re awesome. Fries are really tasty well. The Breslin’s atmosphere is fun too — dark and cozy while also lively — all the better for you to sit and devour your juicy LB. This is a two-hands experience; not only are they large and thus a little tricky to eat(hey, you’re paying more than $ 20 here) but you won’t want to but this down. When I was here last with a group of 3, we also shared a salad(a solid Caesar) and dessert, but honestly not even necessary. Their cocktails were tasty and friends enjoyed their craft beers too. My advice: can’t go wrong with lamb burgers, fries and drinks. Not that I would turn down a ribeye here, either. April does it again!

It was years ago when I first tried the infamous lamb burger at $ 19 and I was blown away. Now $ 6 more, I am still blown away at how delicious the burger is! Now that I am no longer a college student and am making actual money, I actually tried other plates the Breslin had to offer. My boyfriend and I came here for a date night on a Monday and this place, no surprise, was pretty packed. Reservations are highly recommended for any day of the week. We started off with the Ranch flavored pork rinds. The pork rinds themselves were super crisp and enough to share between two people. I didn’t really get a ranch flavor but there was a sour punch that elevated it from regular pork rinds you eat from a bag. A good try with drunk munchies. I would definitely look into trying other things before coming back to this. As for a main dish, we shared the milk braised Berkshire shoulder. The meat was moist and easily pullable by the fork. Super tender. The broccoli di cicco was delicious with the pork and cheese curds are always plus. The broth the shoulder sat on was salty but in a good way, nicely balanced against the broccoli. Overall a good dish. I think the negative was that the shoulder was super fatty. About a good third of it was just pure fat so if you are watching your cholesterol, probably not the best dish to get. At $ 32, I do wish there was a larger meat to fat ratio. And now for the main star and the reason why I would go back: The chargrilled lamb burger! I love gamey meat and the burger delivers. At the chef’s recommendation of medium rare, the meat of the burger is red and juicy, moist and soft to the bite. The flavor of the lamb sings through. This is contrasted by the perfect bun. Crisp on the outside, strong to hold the burger in all its glory. I truly believe that the bun can make or break a burger and this bun escalated it to an addiction level. Love love love the bun. With a layer of feta and raw red onions, this burger has both the taste and texture down. So good. I could stop here but how can one not mention their cumin mayo! CUMIN!!! The cumin mayo is the perfect accompaniment to either the burger or their super crisp, hot-out-of-the-fryer French fries. Although it sounds like it could be a heavy condiment, it is anything but that. The cumin does not overpower the mayo, nor does the mayo overpower the cumin. Just a brilliant taste with the fries. I could eat a tub full of it, just stuffing fries and cumin mayo in my face and be happy. At $ 25 a lamb burger, it sure ain’t cheap. But it sure is delicious. Best lamb burger I’ve had hands down.

If you’re in the mood for a cozy, dark pub and a hearty meal, the Breslin is for you. It’s a fun place to eat any time of day, or just grab a drink. The lamb burger is great, and there are lots of other adventurous things to try if you’d like. Always a crowdpleaser!

I came here with my friends on the weekend just to grab some drinks. We ended up getting some food as well, and boy, it was hella delish. We sat by the bar and had ourselves the suckling pig rilette and the chorizo and baked egg. They were both exceptional. Would definitely have to come back soon for more food and drinks.

Solid option for weekend brunch at this Michelin star restaurant. Walked in this morning w/o reservation. Seated immediately. Went with their signature dishes: Seafood sausage and English breakfast. Both were excellent. Also, tried the three cheese sandwich w/ham, which was good. Would have preferred a small salad, instead of pickles, to pair with the rich sandwich. Didn’t enjoy their coffee(but I’m very picky with my coffee). Want to come back and try their famous lamb burger next time. Excellent service. Recommend. : A–

Holy crap let’s talk about the lamb burger and the trice cooked fries. If I could insert a meme here, believe me I would. The burger is perfection. One huge, juicy hunk of perfectly tender meat, topped with feta and onion. It’s salty, it’s fatty, it’s served on a toasted but not overly buttered roll. The bun soaks up the fat without getting greasy while the salt of the feta helps the meat just melt in your mouth. This is a damn fine burger. The fries are the perfect compliment. You know when your order fries and maybe one comes out that you know has taken a second dip in the frier? That perfect, crunchy slice of salty savory perfection? That is what these fries taste like. Top off this meal with any beer on their draft list. They happened to have a nitro ale during my visit. It was quite the compliment to the burger and fries. If you stay at the ACE and don’t eat here, shame on you. This meal was fantastic.

The Breslin is an institution in New York and the suckling pig group dinner at the chef’s table was on my «to-try» list for a while. Despite all the excitement, I came away feeling indifferent about the food and overall experience. The more time I spend in New York, the less enthused I am about large, loud, crowded establishments, where you literally have to scream across the table to get your point across. The Breslin was packed, as expected and the size of the table made it pretty difficult to talk to the people across the way. The best part of the night was watching our waitress skillfully carve through the pig, all the while chatting us up and giving us a quick tutorial on the pig’s innards. The meat was well roasted and there was plenty of varied meat to go around our 10-person crew. The meat is paired with a salsa verde and salsa rosa. The anchovie bit in the salsa verde made it aggressively salty and the salsa rosa was oddly sweet. The accompanying sides were fried potatoes, broccoli rabe and roasted carrots. I prefer my carrots with a bit of crunch, and these were a bit soggy for my taste. The fried potatoes were a great complement to the meat. The broccoli rabe is packed with garlic(which I loved) but fair warning that your breath will be potent in the hours following this feast. Would I recommend it? Yes. Definitely try it out, because at the end of the day, it’s an(expensive) experience.
