Slow service. Messed up meal and did nothing to fix. Hard to get attention of wait staff. Will never go back.

When I want a neighborhood feel with deli tastes or a morning breakfast sandwich I go here! Omelette, bagel sandwiches, oatmeal, even chicken sandwich with fries– is the best!

Great neighborhood spot. Unpretentious and always full of locals. No frills but solid breakfast and lovely staff.

I keep returning to Sweet Life because it is so relaxed and welcoming. Located near the Hudson River in the West Village, it is a neighborhood gathering place with regular customers who eat there every day. When I told one of my friends that Sweet Life doesn’t feel like a typical grind-it-out New York restaurant, she said, «That’s because it’s almost in New Jersey!»

Never again! Bad service(I think the kid was about 15). Incredibly awkward and uncomfortable interactions. Charged me three dollars for a substitution I wasn’t informed about. Also asked me to move tables INTHEMIDDLEOFMYMEAL. And then didn’t help me carry my dishes. Food was FINE. Not worth the frustrating and awkward dining experience.

Great little café. Consistently good food and really friendly owners and staff. They even say hi when they see you on the street after hours. I wish they were open for dinner. Not enough casual places to eat at night in this neighborhood.

Love the food and the people that work there. Dolly and Valerie are awesome, fast, and friendly. Oh and Dolly’s family too! Sister 1, Sister 2, and her son are the best!

Love this little café. Very cute, clean and cosy. Great place to sit down and relax. Great house coffee in big mugs but the food is rather plain and tastes average. We do go back quite often because we enjoy the environment. Great service with Friendly staff who remember us!

I love this cute little place. The food is always good and the service is great. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. It has that cozy homey feeling so it’s perfect for breakfast or lunch on a Sunday afternoon when you want to wind down from a crazy weekend. :)

Great little diner to get some cheap yet fulfilling food. They are a family business. Very friendly & personable service. Food is above average. When I told them I had a dairy allergy & then asked them a million questions, they were very accommodating and double checked with the chef. Sweet Life is definitely worth checking out if you’re nearby.

So I was walking around the streets of New York City in the sweltering heat of a hot summer day. I was looking for a nice sit down brunch restaurant. I couldn’t find one with a decent prices for the life of me. Until I came across the sweet life Café. The prices were out of this world with how good they were compared to other restaurant prices. My girlfriend ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel and I ordered the sweet life café burger. Everything was cooked to perfection. I love them. Please help me.

Good little neighborhood café with a breakfast menu that is a little more diner than café — splitting hairs. We were not looking for an eggs benedict and bloody mary brunch. Just poached eggs on toast with some swine — as simple as it gets. Add in some blueberry pancakes — a simple $ 20-ish meal. We got what we were looking for.

Fresh off the Taxi Tour… my friends and I stopped for a much needed bite to eat. This place is awesome! Cute laid back atmosphere away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown. The service was good and the food was delicious. I wish I could take them back to ATL with me. Do yourself a favor and try the chicken burger… you’re welcome in advance! :)

This place is a hop, skip, & jump from where I live & it’s a great little gem to have in the neighborhood. It’s a small, casual«mom & pop» type of joint that you go to when you want an unfussy meal or a cup of joe at a reasonable price. The food is tasty & to the point. The portions are extremely generous. The service is friendly & attentive. The prices are very fair. What more can you ask for?

Great little place. My omlette was pretty good honestly. And the pancakes smells amazing. Should try them next time. Quaint and cozy. Friendly service.

Great little diner in the West Village. The food isn’t gourmet, but since I’m from NJ it’s great comfort food. Service is friendly, and they’re pretty fast, so overall I’d say it’s a solid place to go before heading to the waterfront, or if all the other brunch places are full. Definitely cheap enough to make it a regular spot.

We stopped here for some cheap burgers. They were good, fresh and cheap. It’s a cute little café in a cool area. The waitress was sweet and seemed to be well known by other patrons.

Affordable, quaint, and family owned. Little breakfast and lunch place that we popped into because we needed sustanance before the parade. I got a philly cheesteak which was tasty however the peppers and onions needed to be cooked more, they were border line still raw. The other half got breakfast which was satisfying and cooked well. Service was very friendly. Its a family owned spot which is always nice to see. It was also fairly comical to hear them bicker back and fourth. When the weather is nice they do have a couple of tables outside that you can people watch all of the craziness that is the east village. If I am ever in the area again and need a quick, cheap, hunger cleansing meal you can be sure that i’ll make this one of my first choices.
