I took the time out of my day to keep an appointment with Suzelle Enterprises. I felt lured by a legitimate address and office. I was asked to wait next door in the waiting area of another business for starters. No biggie. I know rent is expensive and businesses share space from time to time. But then I was asked to fill out a bunch of info(red flag) and was even directed to sign something that acknowledged that I would agree to the company taking 25% of all earnings– before even meeting her.(I never did meet her.) I asked the receptionist about that little detail.(for those of you who don’t know, industry standard is 10% SOMETIMES a manager will take 15%.) Well the explanation the two guys in the office gave me was that since they act as an agent AND a manager they’ve determined to combine the percentages. This is generally unheard of. People: don’t sign anything until you’ve done your research and decided to work with someone. Remember that signing doesn’t guarantee anything for you– it only protects the manager/agent commission.
