Suede

Love it here. Went for my birthday a group of 20. Staff was professional food was delicious I was so stuffed! Also, they let me eat for free because I was the birthday girl! xoxo

overcrowded and weird crowd… its been years since i been but it wasnt that special!

It was definitely too crowded inside and we the long, slim layout of the place made it hard to move around. My friend and I did, however, r meet a few male models so that was exciting.

i stumbled upon here by accident. after a few too many drinks in a small but loud bar in little italy w/​foreign tourists– we decided to be cute and ask all the natives where the «silly bootybass music w/​corny hiphop and a place to grind and shake your booty w/​other corny people» and they told us to walk a few blocks down to a club called «Suede». like some have mentioned, apparently this place packs in celebrities and stuff… but we were there on a slow wednesday night.
$ 15 cover was absurd, BUT there was open bar and we took advantage of that sh*t to the fullest degree. everytime we would get a big ol’ cup of whiskey… yes, CUP– no shot haha. we’d send the other girls to get more and more. we all got pretty wasted. then we proceeded to shake our booties to tunes from Pussycat dolls, Michael Jackson, 50 cent, Lil Jon, Urrrrrsher, etc… and all the other corny hiphop you can imagine. but it was good fun. i love the plush (suede) seats. get it?! we got caught smoking cigarettes a few times, but if you flirt w/​the bouncers… they’ll try to leave you alone. HAHA!
However, is it WORTH going there? i think it’s overrated for such a small little lounge. it’s your typical lounge… cute interior, though– but i would go to a much bigger, trendier, VIP (or free cover) club/​lounge.

Although this place was recommended by a friend, I could not believe that we were waiting in line for more than an hour on a Saturday night. We had passes to get in but we never got in because they were only letting in people they knew. I really can’t say much about the club since we left and went to another club.

Although Suede has been around for years and years and years (or seemingly so… at least 4 I think by now), it still appears in US Weekly as a place where celebs are sighted, which definitely says something. Cool factor or not, I always have a good time and I always have some story to tell the next morning after coming here.

A lounge. This place is so small it kills me. It is so annoying to be packed in there like a proverbial sardine. UM one time I saw Scottie Pippen and Charles Barkeley there so that was cool but I don’t really know if this place is even trendy anymore because I am out of the loop. Also, beers cost $ 12.
