Went here about 2 weeks ago on a Thursday night. Was looking for an afterwork spot with a friend and I read about Stash on . So, we get to the address and we’re standing there confused because we see no sign for the place. There’s a door open with a bouncer standing in front of it so we ask him where we can find the place. He tells us this is it. We show him ID’s and this party has no cover charge… there was another guy standing at the door trying to charge $ 3. I told him there was no cover charge and he said where did I hear that. One of the promoters just happened to come out at that time and caught this guy being shady. Can we please make sure to handle this next time? Anyway, we went downstairs and I felt like I was back in college at a basement party, just everyone here was dressed much nicer. Overall, it was a good party. Good music and decent crowd. Definitely get there earlier for the drink specials. After 8 pm the prices are ridiculous and not worth it.

Although I had a good time while here(I was drunk with friends, almost anywhere is fun) there are a lot of down sides to this place, so I’m giving it 2 stars. MAJORONE being it is filled with UNDER21 teeny boppers. You’re looking at a whole bunch of 18 – 20 year olds getting sloppy and making out with each other on the dance floor. The place is tiny and these kids don’t understand personal space. They’ll be bumping into you while making out or trying to grind up on each other. We just kept pushing them out of the way, they obviously don’t want any trouble, but it is annoying. The music was pretty decent, a lot of house and occasional hip hop songs. Drink prices weren’t crazy expensive but they weren’t like your average dive bar either.

18 bucks for a long island no thanks –___– beer is 9 bucks minimum, bartender tried tellin me that this is a celebrity club… this place is so tiny let alone where are the celebrities at??? Never coming here again… oh by the way… I stepped in there at 730, they didn’t start the acts until 1030 –__– and told us if we wanted to sit down, we have to buy a bottle… absolutely horrible

Worst bartender ever. Waiting 20 mins for a drink that was $ 20 with a $ 50 card minimum. He ignored our order and was instead taking shots. So crowded couldn’t move the entire time. Good music.

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. I’ve only been here a few times and it’s a gross environment with strange crowds mosts nights, rude staff, and when i went to pay the bill i was charged for more items that i never even purchased. the management should really tighten up about this place because it seems to have something fishy going on and it doesn’t help that everyone is extremely rude and gives your night out in NYC a bad experience.

Fly-by-night operation. Not sure why they only put an extra $ 10 charged to my card – I signed a standard 20% tip, so say $ 120, but it came out $ 130. Feels weird to dispute $ 10, but hey, that’s what your bank is for. CHECKYOURBILL, CHECKYOURCREDITCARDSTATEMENTS!

DONOTGOHERE! GOTPICKPOCKETED They didn’t even I.D. anyone in our group… good for girls who didn’t have IDs but not having an exclusive selection of people means that anyone gets let in, including trashy people. One of my friends got her phone stolen last weekend and my promoter got his wallet stolen last night. I got my phone stolen last night as well. unhelpful staff. trashy people. too hot and crowded. don’t go not worth it at all.

I have only visited this club with a promoter friend so we’ve always had immediate access and plenty of room to dance.(The only way to bother with a club in my opinion.) The place is small but the décor is nice and I’ve never had any trouble from the people who come there. The DJ always plays a lot of fun stuff so it’s perfect for a girls night or a birthday party.

FRAUDALERT!!! FRAUDALERT!!! I would definitely give them zero star if I could… but this review is about the bar staff. I went here last night for a friend’s birthday party and yes, the venue is pretty small and for you lovely ladies I must give you this tip — it can be a sweat-box. So here is the story: I opened a tab and ordered 6 drinks but when I went to close my tab, I saw that my bill was $ 198.00. I asked for the itemized bill and exactly what I thought, they had overcharged me for couple of extra drinks. I notified the bartender who notified the bar manager and he decided to use his«discretion» and remove what he thought I ordered and did not order. He did this 3 times and I refused to sign. He then threatened me that he would call the cops and I would get arrested. I am not sure but maybe he thought he was speaking to some know-nothing black guy. I told him to call the police! In addition to the fact that I run a business in NYC and I have traveled to every continent to be exposed to the thought process of fools like him, I know my rights and the laws. He saw that I was not giving up and not signing, he asked me to go upstairs and he would give my card. We went upstairs and outside and he said he was not giving my card unless I signed the receipt. I told him no and he said I should simply sign and dispute the charges with my bank. I told him I was not going to do that because that would be fraud. He also tried to convince me to simply«scribble my name», get my card and dispute it and I kept telling him that’s fraud and he kept trying to threaten me with calling the cops. In the end, I left my card with him, canceled my card and disputed the charges with my bank. While the night was great, the music was good(my friend brought her own DJ), these guys ruined it with their fraudulent activities. Be careful when you go here! Always ask for an itemized receipt and NEVER let them hold your card when you are disputing. Needless to say that this is my last time going here.

NEVERCOMEHERE! Rudest bar staff I’ve ever seen. First of all, this place does not honor your purchases. My friends and I purchased tickets to their Halloween party on Oct 27. The tickets includes access to the lounge and open bar from 9pm to midnight. On Oct 26, only one day before the actual party, we were informed that the party has been moved to 8:30pm — 11:30pm which conflicts with our plan for the night(dropping by friend’s place for pre-game first), and the open bar was till 10pm only. Secondly, the staffs at this place is extremely rude and unfriendly. On the actual date of the event, my friends and I arrived at the lounge around 10:45pm to meet up with friends who’s already got in, only to be informed that we could not get in because«the party is over». WTH?! What’s more, without any further explanations, the staffs used F words to us while we, as guests, were being perfectly respectful and were trying to communicate. I’ll never come to this place again and continue to advise people against visiting this place unless me and my friends’ tickets receive full refunds, and we receive apologies from the bouncers from Oct 27.

3 girls plus myself so the bouncers werent an issue — walked right in at 3 am music must have been good enough b/c I was dancing a lot — house, top40,… I vaguely recall nice looking, decent mixed crowd — again, I vaguely recall tiny yes, but not too crowded at this hour, but I can see the reason for concern. ordered 4 drinks, $ 56 — ok, but 20% tip was included. I thought I tipped on top of that but my credit card says otherwise as of this morning. hmm then, this gets another star.(but note Stash, you aren’t some tourist spot so please enjoy my generous alcohol infused tipping and thus you shouldnt have an automatic tip included). I’ll be back, hopefully with 3 girls again, but I doubt I’ll be that lucky.

This place is tiny, and not in a way that makes it seem exclusive or exciting. It’s hot, overcrowded, and there is legitimately close to no space. Stereotypical mean bouncers, but that’s okay I guess that is sort of their job. The stairway is way too dark, and for their own sake they should light it up a bit so that they don’t get a law suit from someone who falls. The music was okay, basically top 40’s like every other place ever made. It definitely deserves an «eh». 2 stars.

Any time I tell my dad I am going anywhere on 14th Street b/w 2nd Ave and maybe 7th Ave(and in that general vicinity), he wants to know exactly where so he can tell me what was in that location in the early to mid-80s. My parents and I lived on 2nd and 15th back in the day. I’m not sure how he remembers all this so many yrs later, but apparently Sally Spa(3rd and 16th – love it!) is in the place of the Red Apple grocery store, Stuyvesant Square was a place to score heroin back in ’84(not that my dad ever did that!) and Stash is right where my dad used to go to the bank. Anyway, in 2012, Stash is an adorable lounge tucked away on West 14th Street. I could not find the place the first few times I walked by as it is literally STASHed away. Once I figured out I was in the right place after all, I went down the stairs and found myself in an interesting space that was deep and narrrow decorated in rich deep colors and lots of red. The DJ was excellent and I enjoyed the house tunes. I would definitely recommend it but I do warn you that it is hard to find the first time.

Very much a bottle service club. Small. Very Dark. I have come here a couple times now and am not too impressed. There are much better places close by if you are looking for a place to drink away your weekends.

I don’t usually write reviews but I had such an amazing time at Stash. DJ played mix of old/new hiphop/house. Drinks were fairly priced and strong enough. Small venue great for dancing. There are compartments in the seats and tables to put your belongings(hence«stash»). Gorgeous ceilings, red leather couches and clean bathrooms. Trendy crowd but everyone was dancing and it was a weeknight. The door is pretty rough so have some beautiful girls with you. See you at Stash!

Came here on a Saturday evening around 1am, after leaving the Darby(next door). This place is/was OVERLY hyped! Firstly, I would like to start off by saying that I almost killed myself trying to get down the narrow stairway. That being said, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a lounge that was as small as this one is. It kind of gives new meaning to the terms ‘cozy’ and ‘intimate’, as I found myself numerous times, not only brushing up on other patrons but also invading their space(unintentionally), and vice-verse. At a certain point in the evening, the door staff let in way too many people(I guess they forgot how tiny the place is), and soon enough the place became CHAOTIC, extremely hot, and rambunctious. Totally uncomfortable, to say the very least. And finally, the music. What on earth were they thinking when they hired their DJ?! The«playlist» is H-O-R-R-E-N-D-O-U-S. Now, I know that I am not a DJ, but as an avid music lover and frequent party-attender, I find that well coordinated music is what gets me into party mode and sustains that vibe throughout the evening. That being said, how am I supposed to dance and enjoy myself, if at one particular moment I am jamming to house music, then the next song is Tupac(no offense, LOVE his music dearly), and the one shortly after is Bön Jovi, etc. I could’ve dealt with the confined space, and the place being overly crowded, but all those factors AND a terrible playlist, too?! I don’t think so.

This is actually a 3.5 Dj was alright, heard a lot about it so wanted to check it out. Went with a huge mish mosh of people… besides one or two other tables we were the only ones in there. Place has great potential, good looking space, trendyish people, decent music but the place never jumped off quite like a good party should… especially for a venue like that.
