Walked about five blocks down to this Starbucks from the office right after lunch. Ordered a Grande dark roast coffee — with room for cream. The cashier was friendly, courteous, and followed directions — he actually listened and did not overfill my cup. I can’t begin to count the number of times they don’t listen and just fill it up! Coffee was strong and delicious! There is a decent amount of interior seating here for those who need to stay and work.

Its smaller but off in a side street. What makes this the best are the nice chairs and sofa with chargers

Everything about this location is fine, but one of the baristas is so rude. I got a cup of water and when she gave it to me I smiled and said thank you and she didn’t even acknowledge me. Then, I decided I wanted to get another one to give to a homeless man across the street so I politely asked for one, and she glared at me and then didn’t even say you’re welcome when I thanked her. I wasn’t even expecting a cheery«have a great day!», just for her to be polite. I work in service too so I know how it is, but this was unacceptable.

An above average Starbucks. There is always plenty of seating and the lounge area has comfy and spacious couches. The staff is always nice and courteous, and the only thing I took a star off for was the fact that sometimes orders can take a long time. However the drinks are delicious and because it’s in a somewhat hidden area it isn’t as crowded as other areas.

This was a terrible location. They weren’t writing names on cups so the orders kept getting all messed up, and the man making the drinks kept muttering obscenities under his breath about his co-workers. Not Starbucks quality at all.

The staff is so fun and friendly! It’s hard to get a seat but that is the case with most coffee shops in New York. Just go earlier! The window seats are great for people watching. White mocha for dayssssss

Methinks not. The only thing this place has going for it is the fact that you can usually find a seat. The line is always long. They don’t write your name on the drinks or food items so I’ve had someone take my beverage more than once. But, they are great at serving attitude. #SentFromTheirWifi

Store # 10396 This Starbucks is somewhat smaller than other Starbucks and contains limited seating. It sits on 21st Street and 7th Avenue. I came here to attain one bottle water $ 1.95 to re-hydrate myself from summer’s blazing heat and humidity and one fruit salad $ 3.55. The checkout line moves moderately.

Wonderful staff! I had to wait after I ordered a drink. They forgot about my drink, and when I asked The barista about it, she apologized upsized my drink and give me a complimentary beverage coupon. Every time I’m at this Starbucks they go above and beyond to give great customer service!

Love this starbucks. I come here on my lunch break, before my shift, and sometimes after my shift. Not the same day, I’m not so well off, as yet lol. Staff is super friendly, great customer service. Great comfort level in here, great feng shui, comfy couch and seating. Also a cool coffee bar if you want to sip quick and dip. Check em out, it’ll be worth.

Like a lot of Starbucks, if you order 2 things and one of them is a black coffee, they forget to give you the black coffee. Overall it is fine but I get the feeling that it could be a lot better.

This used to be the quietest most efficient Starbucks. Now it’s way crowded and the staff rather talk to each other than make your coffee. Pet peeve; ask me my name but ask me if I had a drink that clearly has a girls name written on it. Call the name, that’s why you take it down.

This is my go-to location during my lunch break. The Starbucks on 6th Ave would be closer but I choose to venture about 10 steps further because this location is a: much less cramped b: employs a female Barrista who has the cutest voice I’ve ever heard and she totally lifts my spirits in the middle of a long day at work.

This is one of my least favorite Starbucks locations. I use to like it a lot because I really like this one guy that works there, always makes my drink right and he spells my name correctly. I wish he worked at a different location since I’ve had so many issues at this location. First of all I cannot tell you how many times I’ve gone there gotten the wrong drink, corrected them and gotten the wrong drink again. Then there was the time I ordered the bagel that they already messed up, apologized and then gave me the wrong bagel again. Lastly my birthday coupon get denied here when I showed them both the coupon on my app, which displayed the expiration date, and I gave them my Starbucks card.

I love this location! It’s not a good day in the office unless I stop by every morning and see my regular barista and Starbucks staff. Everyone is extremely friendly and make an effort to get to know you. Once I walk in, my order is put in w/o needing to order. Now THAT is service!

Without a doubt, this is the best Starbucks in the area in terms of seating. It’s definitely worth venturing a little off the beaten path(instead of the one on 6th Ave) so you can actually sit and enjoy your drink, if that’s what you prefer. There’s also a bathroom, unlike the awful 14th St. location.

I would’ve given this one a 5-star rating, had the cashier not forgotten to tend to me, causing another, but AWESOME, employee to have to take my order. I really like the location. I love how spacious it is. I LOVE the layout, which lets in lots of natural lighting. And goodness GRACIOUS if every barista wasn’t somewhere on the spectrum from adorable to gorgeous! The barista who was my primary helper was amazingly energetic and welcoming. He made all four of the drinks I ordered with great care. He was beyond professional. And the guy who at first didn’t remember to help me was quite apologetic. The store is clean. The bathroom was also clean. And it was spacious. Even the condiment station was clean. I will definitely walk a bit out of my way when I’m in the area just to go back to this particular ‘Bucks.

One of my least favorite Starbucks, primarily because I can never, ever get in and out of here in under 10 minutes* unless I order a drip coffee. Why are there at least 4 to 5 employees behind the counter but at least half of them are walking around in circles? And why do they walk around in circles for a good 5 minutes before they decide to notice that they need to pour my iced tea? Listen folks… I worked at a Starbucks way back when I was in college. I know how to be efficient and get this sh*t done the right way and I can tell you… it’s not happening at this store. There’s one nice employee here but that doesn’t save this place for me. What does keep me coming back(as little as possible) is it’s proximity to my office… but that doesn’t say anything for the place… it’s just luck. *only a slight exaggeration…7 minutes is probably the best I’ve done here

First things first… when you read this review, feel free to visit this location, but please… do NOT tell any of your friends! If even 5% of the people who crowd the Union Square West Starbucks ever got wind of this place, just a few blocks away, they would swarm down like yuppies at Sundance and totally blow the vibe. This is without question, the most laid-back, comfortable, easy-going Starbucks you will ever see in NYC. The seating is all very inviting, but of special lure is the middle room, which looks like a Victorian parlor. Big shiny mirrors on the wall with gilded frames, four easy chairs with easily-accessible tables, and… wait for it… TWOCHAISELOUNGES! Honestly I thought I dreamed this the first time, so I had to pay a return visit. Sitting in a comfy chair with your coffee is one thing – being able to recline and stretch your legs out is amazing. All of this comfort would be shot if the place was overrun and under-maintained, but fortunately the staff here is super-attentive to cleanliness. The seating and décor looks brand-new, and they’ve been here a few years at least. The staff is also really friendly, they don’t mess up orders, and they simply do everything in their power to truly make you feel at home. This makes for an astonishingly un-New York Starbucks experience, and a refreshing change of pace. So yes… go there, just… keep it between us. Thanks. :)
