Don’t bother going here. Store is completely empty, employees just standing talking instead of taking orders/making orders. After my drink comes out and it’s been a while I ask about my food. They said they have to wait for the ticket. Ask again, still nothing. This whole time, maybe TWO whole people have placed order. Finally ask AGAIN, and the guy hands me my order. It’s already made, sitting in one of those wax bags behind the counter, already ready. But the guy was STILL talking to another employee to bother taking two seconds to hand it to me

The manager Chaz is incompetent of dealing with customers. I ordered an iced espresso in a grande cup and after the cashier took my order he threw out my grande cup and put it in a small cup. When he handed me my drink I said I asked for a grande cup. He said he knew I was going to put milk in it and its policy that I can’t have a grande cup. I told him it’s not his business what I put in my coffee but instead of arguing I asked for a grande cup of ice water and that I would pay for it. He denied my request and refused to give me the water! Are you kidding??? I called the 800# for Starbucks and they confirmed this was not a policy and it was none of his business to ask me if I was putting milk in it or accuse me of putting milk in it. They said I can order whatever I want and choose any cup I want. I submitted an official complaint. The corporate office stood behind me and apologized profusely. Hey Chaz… Do you think you are powerful and cool because you changed my cup and made up some fake policy? You’re an idiot!

Not busy. I got my drink fairly quickly but they misspelled my name after spelling it out loud to them. Really?! Hence 3 stars

Worst Starbucks I have ever been to. Although the place was not busy, they mixed up my drink, and called me by a different name as a joke because of my race.

Not that great of a Starbucks. The people are slow and it’s often busy. I’m giving a second star to them because this location has the clover system — which is cool. However, a lot of times you get someone who isn’t 100% confident working it — which isn’t cool.

Good amount of seating for NYC and the staff was fast and friendly for having to deal with tourists all day. Well done.

I have gone here the past 3 days now because I am staying at the hotel above, and the workers are so rude. Also, they were out of chai tea every time I went. The workers said they get orders in every other day and completely blew me off. I refuse to go to this Starbucks again, and the management should highly consider firing these idiots.

Pretty average typical starbucks. They get a lot of foot traffic due to prime location so the wait is a bit longer than most.

I never review Starbucks as they are somewhat consistent. Some faster than others, but this is consistently the slowest location. Today there were five workers and they couldn’t decide who should do what. We don’t need three people to clean and restock when there is a line. Ahh! Especially considering people are trying to make buses, they need to get their act together.

This is the Starbucks you go to if you feel like observing zoo animals. Why’s that, you ask? It’s right in the middle of Times Square so you get to watch a bunch of troglodytes(aka tourists) from all over the world crowd together here, interacting with their families and friends, squatting in the place and making unintelligible noise. Also lots of jerseyers. The sensible New Yorkers squat in other Starbucks locations away from here, but I’d imagine this place would be great for a psych study of some sort.

There was just one person in front or me and she’s standing with 2 cashiers in front of her chitchatting away. There wasn’t anyone else in line. She didn’t order a drink. I am patiently waiting for one of them to acknowledge me. Nope. Didn’t happen. I’m staring them in the eyes waiting… Finally one of them look over and said hi. The girl then walked away and said bye. Ordered my drink. There were at least 6 people waiting. Three people were clustered and chitchatting while only 1 girl was making drinks. How does that make sense? Shouldn’t there before people making drinks since it takes awhile to make them sometimes? Along with my iced tea I asked for a cup of ice. They had the girl put that in the cup too! Huh? Not the best Starbucks I’ve been to. Also not many seats either.

Came in here because my friend needed to charge up her cell. The service was good and coffees at Starbucks standard, but it’s really dark and cramped. Really chaotic, but that’s to be expected with all the tourists.

The customer service was pretty much up to par so my problem is that fruit salad that I paid $ 9 million for and it was soggy af! A waste of my money and had me starving by the time I left the bus to A.C. I didn’t even put a dent in the fruit salad because it was so soggy! The mango was hard, the strawberries was soggy, blueberries mushy! Threw that crap in the trash where it belonged. The lemon cake pop was good but too damn sweet! Had a tall vanilla blond roast. I wish I would have remembered that Cake Boss was open across the street. It’s cool, I’ll scoop that on Wednesday on my way to Bmore.

Alright. So this has to be one of the most frustrating Starbucks locations I’ve ever visited. First off, it’s cramped. Not only is the seating area smaller than the bathroom of a studio apartment, they decided to shove a giant barnwood coffee table in the middle of it which takes up an estimated 87.36% of the floor space. So needless to say, navigating the space requires a body mass less than that of a malnourished pre-teen. Now, on to the service aspect of my multiple patronages(is that even a word??). If they can get your name right, it’s a miracle in itself. However, don’t think you’re out of the woods yet. You’ve got to maneuver the awkward layout to get to the other end of the bar(which requires circling back around the line you just left to place your order) and hope you don’t place your arm/hand/elbow in a puddle of a mixture of previous beverages. When you finally get your drink, it’s time to fight the crowd to get to the door and escape… the only time you’ll PREFER to be on 42nd street amid a slew of tourists, instead of inside the safety of a building.

TIP for those from out-of-town or that do not live in the neighborhood: There is NO restroom here. It used to have one but too many tourists, losers, and homeless basically peed everywhere on the floor and things got nasty so they closed it up. If you really need to use the restroom, head to Port Authority Bus Terminal that has plenty of restrooms but it’s all the way toward the back, and for bonus, the Terminal itself is an ugly maze. Good Luck!

When you need coffee and want to see a movie, this is the place for you. This Starbucks is nestled into the lobby of the Regal E-Walk theater in Times Square. To be honest, I tend to only go if I have to(meaning I’m in the area around the theater and waiting for a friend). Why? Between the theater, tourists and tons of restaurants in the area, it’s almost always impossible to get a seat in this place. It’s also always jam packed with people on line for the bathroom and squishing into corners as they too wonder why that guy with the laptop and no drink gets to take a seat while you can’t(even after ordering a Grande something or another). So why give this place a good rating at all? Well, frankly considering the crowds, they move really fast(at least they did as of February 2011) and this is the one Starbucks where I got a Chai Tea Latte that I *loved*. I had the same drink in two previous Starbucks and neither of them met with my expectations, but this one definitely did. I would hardly call this a «go to» Starbucks, but they get kudos for service and producing good drinks.

I’m not a huge Starbucks person, let alone a huge coffee person, but when I had to be at work at 6:30am, I knew I had to stop. I was really afraid they weren’t open because the lighting was low and the place looked abandoned, but luckily they were. My order is pretty hard to screw up. I get the cheapest coffee possible, and since I figured it would be awhile since I got to eat lunch, I had a bagel. The thing that made this visit stand out was how nice everyone was. I’m a huge grouch anytime before noon, so the fact that the Starbucks workers not only took my order, but smiled and seemed genuinely friendly and happy made my sleep-deprived self feel a little bit better. Obviously the place wasn’t at all crowded that early in the morning. I could see a lot of problems managing the flow when it gets busy. I’m sure it’s too late to redesign, but hopefully they do something to ease congestion.

I LOVECOFFEE– especially Starbucks. However, this location, to put it lightly, SUCKS. I placed my order while my friend waited to use the restroom, and somehow, my ‘order’ never went to the person who was supposed to make it. So there I stood, for almost 20 minutes waiting for a drink, while other people, that had been behind me in line, were in and out, in a matter of moments, further annoying me. I will NEVER use this location again, because it is overly cramped; does not flow, so it gets very cramped; and it is understaffed. AVOID this Starbucks if you want your coffee on time. Walk a block to the next one.
