I was not impressed. The bar is pretty small and it wasn’t busy. The bar tender never acknowledged me. I guess if your not a regular, they look right through you. We stayed had one drink and left. Bar tender never made it back to us to see if we wanted another. How many people were sitting at the bar? Let see seven people including us. Save your money and go to another bar.

This place was decent until a waitress told me I’m not allowed to order drinks from the bar and then sit at a table, yet my tab was not at the minimum of $ 10 yet. I was told I have to order my next drink from the table waitress otherwise I’d have to get up from the table my friends are sitting at. No such thing as customer service here. Would not go back and would recommend against coming here strictly because of the poor employee attitudes and entitlement to my money.

Fairly extensive draft beer selection. Good, solid bar food. Servers are friendly. The overall vibe is chill. If you can snag a window seat, you’ll be treated to excellent people watching on St. Mark’s Place.

It’s a place to drink beer and eat bar food. Nothing more nothing less. Nothing special. Quesadilla was decent.

St. Marks Ale House is one of the mainstays of St Marks place. Although this isn’t a bar that you would normally choose to drink a lot at, the bar does serve as a great meeting spot and a great place to just sit and relax. Probably one of the few bars that does wait service on he tables. Actually probably one of the only bars that have real tables on the street. It does get really loud here at night but it’s St. Marks, what can you expect. As usual I stick with my standard Guinness 6 $.I have had the nachos here before as well and they’re pretty good(Take that with a grain of salt I was drunk)

The epitome of a sports bar. TV screens everywhere and happy hour specials. It’s a great place to watch the NBA playoffs. They will actually turn down the music during the game(but back on commercials). Also a great place to just drink and grab bar food. The tables inside are first come first serve. I recommend taking a table along the wall since it can get a little cramped and there will be people passing through to leave or go to the bathroom.

I’ve passed by this place a plenty but never went in. Boxing Day meant cheap drinks and good eats, and we saw the sign with $ 3 shots so my friends and I decided to come here. For $ 3, you can get a shot of Souza gold, a kamikaze shot, or a soco lime shot!!! We ordered a platter of nachos, it was huge and way too big for 3 of us to finish! I give this place a solid 3 stars; one for their weak drinks. The shots we ordered tasted a bit watered down, so we ended up getting two Irish trash cans. The nachos were mediocre, that classic nacho thing where the stuff is all piled on top and you have to take chips from the bottom to even it out a bit. It’s not a bad place for a hangout before hitting up some other spots though.

That bar will serve you .5% alcohol and charge you $ — and when you complain, they will do nothing or hide in the back of the bar. I would not recommend.

We went on a Tuesday afternoon after wandering around the Village some. The Killian’s red was $ 4 which was great for me. I ordered a burger that was tasty and filling, and the onion rings were great. I’d go back the next time I visit.

It’s a good place to watch any sport you’re into. They have cheap drinks that won’t break the bank. The food there is also cheap for the huge portions that they serve. The staff is always friendly and very attentive.

Service was great, drinks were cheap. I believe $ 4 Bud light, Coors, Killians — but then they charged us $ 3 for those and $ 4 for others(I.e. Goose Island IPA). They serve HUGE portions for food. I didn’t order the nachos but I saw them walk by plenty of times and it looked like enough to serve 8 people.

We were looking for a place to have a few drinks before our 630 reservation at a restaurant a couple of blocks away. This place looked perfect since they were having happy hour. We sat at the bar and got some soca lime and kamikaze shots for $ 3 each. Then after eyeing the wings that the people next to us were eating we decided it wouldn’t ruined our appetite to order some wings to go with our drinks. I’m so happy we got the wings since they were so good. We got buffalo medium and they were the perfect amount of heat. This is a great place to come grab some drinks and if you love wings then get some, totally worth it.

Came here again for my friend’s birthday and they have such a great deal on shots. $ 3 so co lime and kamikaze shots and $ 5 fireball and others. But we just kept going for rounds of shots and then we ordered bar food. I had the buffalo Mac and cheese and asked for hot. The prices of their goods are so cheap and filling. My mac and cheese was $ 6 and so worth it. Definitely has a kick when you ask for hot and it was so yummy while drinking. My go to food order if I come back and drink!

A-OK for bar food. We came here because we were watching the Blue Man Group, just a few short blocks away. Their bathroom left a lot to be desired.

Standard beers with a couple unique ones. Good service. Lots of TVs for sports fans. Plenty of room for groups compared to other places on this street.

Terrible service. Very slow, even as we sat next to the bar –which wasnt packed, we were basically ignored. then we asked for our beers twice and the one bartender just«forgot». finally someone else came over and served us. took awhile tho. their fries are good.

Maybe twelve seats at the bar, several tables. Several flatscreens turned to sports so everyone has a good view. Twenty taps? Nice place but a little divey. Bartender was nice enough. I had a Brooklyn IPA which was fine. Sound is turned on for one of the sports channels so no background music. What is this thing about betting on boxes?

Weirdly enough, this place gradually became one of my go-to sports bars in the city. There are plenty of screens, the food and the drinks are cheap and delicious. The place is never super crowded either, and I always come here after playing volleyball/flag football league games. I’ve always had a good time here, and the crowd is always interesting and not filled with awful people like 13th Step or Turtle Bay. The buffalo mac and cheese is unbelievably good and at $ 6, a definite steal. They mix the hot sauce into the cheese, so the creaminess comes with a bit of spicy tang. Then they pile on fried chicken bits on top and the entire dish is just a smile waiting to happen. The nachos with carnitas is a huge portion and enough to feed 4 hungry people. We almost didn’t order more food because the nachos were so tasty and filling. The burger is a monstrosity and you can add just about any topping you want. And it comes with fries or onion rings. At $ 9, even more of a steal. The waitstaff is always very friendly and attentive, and they pay attention to detail. Oh, and they’re also all attractive females. Take that as you will. Seriously though, we had a table of 10 and we each had weird small modifications to our orders and the waitress got them all down and it was executed perfectly. Awesome. I always go for the $ 4 Killian’s Irish Red during happy hour. I wish they had Yuengling on special, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be. If you’re looking for cheap eats and drinks, this is one of the best places in Manhattan for just that.

So… this is a divey sports bar and if that’s your expectation going in, it deserves 4 stars or more. They have great happy hour and drink specials, even on the weekends! The big tables make it a great spot for groups, and they have TVs all around. When we were here today, people seemed to be REALLY into the Real Madrid — ATL Madrid soccer match. They also have a nice selection of bar food(including boneless wings! SCORE!) for really reasonable prices. The crowd is diverse and friendly(a little intensely tuned into the game). Service is always friendly and fast(plus, the waitresses are cute). I’m tempted to give it another star just because they were playing some of my favorite musical xanax tunes(Jack Johnson, Colbie Caillat, John Mayer and more).
