Stayed at the Knickerbocker for a night(awesome hotel!) and decided to stop by St Cloud for a drink. Pretty awesome rooftop, both indoor and outdoor seating options(with heaters for those sitting outside) which is perfect when it’s a little chilly outside. Drinks were a little pricey but expected for this type of place. Didn’t try any food so can’t comment on that. Also, I thought the service was fine nothing to complain about, although it was a Tuesday night so there weren’t that many people.

Beautiful spot for drinks with friends or a date. Appetizers were good and the drinks were very different and deeelish. Pricey and tips are included on the receipt so be aware because no one will mention it to you.

Do not go to this bar unless you want to be ripped off. The wise bar managers and wait staff purposley do not provide the itemized receipt. Why? Because it states right on it that the tip is included!!! A whopping 20%. You will be presented only with the total. The wait staff make sure not to tell you that the tip is included, you don’t even think about it(I don’t) and the result is a whole 40% tip. I talked to them several times and they deny any wrong doing. The servers are super slow, they alway tell you they are busy even when you are the only one in there. Drinks are average. This place opened up in February and it is already going down. Wonder why!!! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Seriously!!!

I came here to start off my weekend with a group of friends. If you enjoy good cocktails and spectacular views I recommend St. Cloud. The rooftop is the place to be on a nice cool night. As it equipped with great views and a great vibe.

I want to love this place, the view is amazing, the doorman is super sweet and friendly. Such a great ambiance about it, it felt like you were somewhere posh in Miami but in reality you are in Times Square! Times Square’s bright lights light up the rooftop scene in a way unlike any other. But what really RUINed the experience was the wait staff service, a couple of girlfriends and I came here later one night around 11:30 on Thursday. There was only a handful of people there that night. The waitress literally took 25 minutes to get us our first round of drinks… I would look over and the bartender is just standing there and the waitresses just chatting. I don’t get it. I then interrupted the waitresses’ conversation with the waitresses and asked about the status of the drink and she said that she’s trying as hard as she can the bartender is busy, meanwhile he was just standing there. With an experience like that… not worth it!

I celebrated my birthday at St. Cloud and it was incredible! We had an amazing view of Times Square and were practically underneath the Times Square ball. I found the prices to be extremely reasonable for a rooftop bar, and the service was impeccable. I loved the rosé by the glass and the wagyu beef hot dog was incredible! I have never seen such an awesome-looking hot dog before, and it was delicious. You can’t beat the views here and the staff is amazing. Everyone had a blast. We will definitely be back soon.

I called and they took reservations for me for a Sunday. Arrived with my out of town guests and they informed me they are closed Sundays.

I went to rooftop on Sat night to meet a friend, bar was not busy, but i still waited like 10min b4 bartender noticing an attractive single lady. As i talked it up w a group of guys that the bartender seems to like, thats when he asked me my drink… Cosmo please… now he prepped it, put ice in glass to chill it but forgot to put water w/ice to «really’» chill it(hmm) started making another drink that was ordered after mine and asked the bar back(yes bar back) to finish making my drink, as bar back started to shake my drink, he spilled it not realizing he needed to close shaker, then he made a new on –his version– and i said it tasted like fruit punch(cyrstal light taste better), he said people say that about their other drinks not tasting like its supposed to —(eg. their mojito)…(he admitted that – wow) i asked him to put more vodka w my fake«cosmo» fruit punch– whatever got tab, crappy drink was $ 20.30 not realizing the tip is included and i tipped again(as a x-club/cocktail worker i try not to fuss at these guys as courtesy-thats all going to change now in this town). im so pissed that i paid all that $$ for the worst drink in NYC in 3years — i went down stairs and all my friends just laughed at me & my my «crappy fruit punch» fake cosmopolitan martini… I’ll return BUT ill go to restaurant bar that have real BARTENDERS that make drinks then ill enjoy it on the rooftop… LOLOLOL

This place has lots of potential. I know it’s new so we’ll see. The space itself is great. Beautiful views from the rooftop of the hotel including the Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball. The drinks are pricy, but that’s to be expected for this location. I don’t have a problem with that, but they didn’t give me an itemized receipt, and had I not been paying attention(i.e. sober) I may not have noticed that they included the tip. I don’t like feeling that a bar is trying to pull a fast one on me. I hope they fix this. The staff was great, bartenders were quick, overall a good experience. It was not a big crowd at all for a Friday night so that could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you’re looking for.

Nice rooftop bar. Too bad there was a private event when we swung by though, because the corner with the nicest view(the only view, really) was sectioned off. Corner view picture here:( ). Beyond that corner, there wasn’t much to see. The bar and hotel is a serene getaway from Times Square though.

I went to the St. Cloud during the opening week. It was a bit busy and took a few minutes to get in. However it was worth the wait. You can see how much potential this has for an after work rooftop spot. Drinks took a while as they seem to be new to opening up. But a rooftop bar near work where you can have good drinks, smoke cigars, and have a good time is a great place. Definitely repeat visit despite its flaws in timely service and entrance. This may change if they don’t fix it in the future, but will give them the benefit of the doubt. Updating previous review as I have gone a few times since it has opened, they added food(just small dishes, nothing major though). Service improved, line is usually just to wait for the one elevator that goes to the roof. I was asked if there is a separate entrance for cigar bar. And I do not believe so.
