The shop is a mom and pop kind of setting, the owners are friendly and they have a decent assortment of meats including pork, beef and chicken.

Went there looking to get a good steak, I seen the aged meat in the case. ask the guy about it, he was more than help also told me how to cook it I was BBQ ing it,.well let me tell you, holy crap, it was worth every penny. he also told me if I didn’t like it he would refund my money, that sold me, it was peter Luger quality… in my own house, I will return

These guys at Sorrentino’s Market in Howard Beach Queens, are the very best. This is the second location opened by the owner the other being on myrtle ave in Glendale queens. The owner knows his stuff inside and out. He has been running a butcher shoppe back to his teen age years and has since, mastered the art. I would label the store as an artisan butcher shoppe. In other words they have really mastered and specialized in the niche market of italian meats, cheeses and prepared meals (just throw it in the oven and you have a gourmet dish ready to go).
The Italian sausage made fresh in the store is not only the best in town, it is the best I have ever eaten. When I prepare the sausage as a meal, I often pick at it raw, as it is so fresh and flavorful that I feel comfortable doing so.
As a family owned and operated business, I am happy to buy all my meats from these guys. I have built a good relationship with the owner and recommend it to anyone who lives in Nassau county, Queens or Brooklyn. When I speak about Sorrentino’s market I refer to it as the best butcher shoppe around.

my dad has been going in every week. meat has been excellant so far. he picked up a couple of things for me also. roast beef was excellant very tender had a great taste. chuck roast for pot roast was like butter. they have a customer in me and my dad! great to have a good butcher in the neighborhood!
