Not a bad place to have dinner. Quite good portions. Just two officiants per café, but they do their best. Tasty traditional Turkish lettuce soup with a peace of lemon. Falafel with humous in a plate is not very good.

Good service, not too noisy when fullish, and good food at good prices: zucchini pancakes were almost too much along with a shepherd’s salad – lovely– and shish kebab with rice. No room for dessert(until later in the evening).

I came here for a pre-show dinner and was glad I did! The place is intimate and cozy. Service was excellent. 1. Zucchini pancakes: these were quite yummy. You get four large pieces, perfect to share among four people. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If you love zucchini, this is a must get. 2. Chicken kebab and gyro combo: part of the menu has convos with different permutations of things you want to try. It makes the decisions easier somewhat. The food is solid. I still wish the chicken were a little juicier but it was overall pretty good. 3. Stuffed cabbage: I love cabbage. These are basically like 4 spring rolls but with cabbage on the outside and ground meat and I think potatoes on the inside. The dipping sauce is great. It’s not a huge fish, but it does the trick. They were super nice and let me leave my to-go food with them until after the show and pick up then.

Came here for lunch, the service was just ok, the gyro plate was small but in their advantage the lamb gyro meat was truly excellent!

We had take out last night. The food was really good. We got Lamb doner, kofta kebab which both come with white rice, green salad and hot & yogurt sauces. We also got mix appetizer. While we were waiting in the restaurant for the food they gave us a complimentary Turkish tea… was so good.

Fresh made and perfectly spiced. We especially liked the octopus salad– if you like octopus it’s a must have! The falafel and hummus delicious and the yogurt sauce was perfectly seasoned. Even the coffee was just good. Highly recommended

An excellent place to have authentic turkish cuisine. Try«manti» turkish ravioli, it is excellent. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. Ambience is great too.

Good food by the park. Had some falafel, calamari for appetizers and both were very fresh. Did a combo plate for lunch and again the meat was very fresh and nicely seasoned. They kind of messed up our order and brought out two plates when we decided we were going to share one, but just a bit of confusion. The loss of 1 star is mainly because the rice was not that flavorful, pretty bland. And I have had better in the city but this is still a good place to try if you are in the area.

The octopus dish was great! And I’m picky when it comes to my tentacles! They also gave us enough pita bread to feed all of the Upper West Side!

Up until this last week, this was my favorite neighborhood restaurant to order from. I ordered from them up to four times a week and frequently went out to dinner there. However, I had such an appalling experience recently that I am never giving them my business ever again. I had two separate occasion on which the soup I ordered was completely turned upside down and spilled. The first time and second time I called and they replaced my soup but gave me attitude. The third time, the manager proceeded to scream and tell me I was the only person this has happened to. I pointed out how unlikely that was and asked why I’d bother to take the time — if the soup arrived properly, I’d have no reason to call. I have given them so much repeat business and recommended their restaurant numerous times. I was literally shocked at the treatment. The manager, to add insult to injury, then told me he wouldn’t deliver to my address going forward. WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE! BEWARE!

The bread was warm and fresh and very good. I’ve had better babaganoush but theirs was still good. I ordered the manti in the tomato and yogurt sauce. It was very good however too much yogurt sauce in my opinion. Next time I’d order one of the kebab dishes.

This is my favorite Turkish restaurant(and one of my favorite restaurants overall). It has seriously made me unable to eat at other similar type restaurants, because they are never as good. You enter a space with a lovely interior, soft lighting and beautiful painted murals on the walls. The bread is always warm and soft. For appetizers, the octopus salad is amazing– you get a whole octopus tentacle(note to the squirmish: you will see the entire tentacle, suction cups and all– and I love it!), along with gorgeously grilled sweet red onion and tomato. I still don’t get how they manage to caramelize the onion so well(even the innermost layers!)– it’s really incredible. For entrees, I always order one of the kebabs and they’re all really great– juicy grilled meat, with delicious rice and a side of purple lettuce. My mom tends to order a dish that’s similar to baba ganoush, but more stewey and with some roasted tomatoes mixed in. And my friends sometimes order the lamb shank, which is stewed to perfection so the meat falls right off the bone! The only nit I have about this place is that the service can be uneven– some of the wait staff are incredibly nice and some seem to want to rush you through ordering so they don’t have to deal with you. BUT the incredible food and ambiance definitely makes up for any possible service deficiencies. For some reason, there also never seems to be a wait for this place– which makes it even better for those of us who don’t make reservations! I’d give the place ten thumbs up, if I could!

Seven’s Turkish Grill serves authentic and delicious Mediterranean food. I find myself ordering takeout from here at least every other week. As a vegetarian, my favorite meal is the okra dinner and I also love the Mediterranean salad. The restaurant itself is very nice — warm, inviting, and convenient for groups. I often bring family and friends to Seven’s when they visit and they never disappoint.

The food is amazing! We had a late Sunday brunch and i have to say — everything was delicious — from bread to dessert — perfect! Appetizers to die for… Entrees — delicious! And the waitress was very nice!

This was excellent takeout. The lamb was lovely as were the various appetizers. It was hot and carefully packaged to and on time. We had our picnic so to speak w beer.

Usually we get take out from here, which is a better experience in my mind. When we went into the restaurant, it seemed as though the waitresses could care less about us, and weren’t very attentive. Not outright unpleasant, just not very interested in being there or taking care of us. Additionally, we never received one of our dishes, despite asking for it a few times. We had to ask for it to be removed from the bill. The appetizers are terrific. I make my own dolma, and tend to be hard to please. It’s much oilier than mine, but very good. The zucchini pancakes are to die for, I adore them. The lahmacun is pretty good as well. I could eat only the appetizers and be very happy. The artichokes are a miss though, I love artichokes — but these are in a bland white sauce with what tastes like frozen cubed carrots and peas. My husband loves the lamb shank, and I usually get the ½ shish — ½ kofte. It varies from okay to delicious(usually the later). Personally I wish that it had more vegetables — it only comes with a small tomato and a hot green pepper — which is a distraction from the other tastes. The beyti, doner and adana kebabs are pretty good, although there is not as much distinction between dishes as one might like. Overall, it’s great for takeout, consistently good, appetizers are terrific, bread is quite good(and given in large amounts), I’ve never eaten any desserts.

I am writing this review because of my total disappointment with this place. Me and my friend went there for dinner ordered soup prior to our main entrees. The lentil soup was ok in taste but as I was drinking the soup he saw the huge stain on the cup. He was worried asking me if that is blood. Now I don’t think it was blood but more like red wine. Btw, when I say huge, I really mean it it was as big as two finger thick and long! I immediately stopped drinking asked for the waitress. As she arrived, I have showed her the stain. And guess what, she took my half full bowl of soup and left WITHOUTEVENSAYINGSORRY… Did she bring a new one? NO! Did anyone else came and apologize? NO! Did they charge me for the full price of the soup all though she took it way when it was still half full? YES At the end she said she will offer us complimentary tea, still without saying sorry… So disrespectful, does comply with Turkish Customs, actually with any custom. Will I ever go to this place? NO Do I suggest you to go? NO

This place has great interior design, I was really impressed with simplicity and middle eastern spirit. The staff is friendly and attentative to the customers. Food wise; I am really into Middle Eastern kebabs and hummus but at the same time I don’t have very«high standards» on my meats. It is very hard to mess up lamb or chicken in kebab, unless all you know is burger and hot dogs American grill. Well, I ordered shish kebab with rice and vegetables«medium well» while my girlfriend ordered Beyti Kebab with side of rice. My meat was dry and I had to ask for white and hot sauce to give it more flavor. The same story was with beyti kebab, i have to admit that her plate was better but the meat was dry as well! It is the first time I have experienced such sloppy job from Turkish place in NYC. Everything else was wonderful, I really enjoyed their appetizers and bread for hummus. Overall I give this place 3 stars for great atmosphere and experience.
