Expensive for what you get. Took my manicurist 45 minutes just to finish filing, and she made multiple mistakes on the way. End result was mediocre at best. See photo. Disappointed because all the reviews were great.

LOVE Kirsty. My friend Jesse had been telling me how good Kirsty was for years but I had my local stylist and didn’t want to change. I finally made the change three years ago and it was one of the best things I ever did.
Kirsty is a caring person who listens and makes excellent suggestions. Everyone tells me that my hair cut/​color looks great and have asked where I get my hair done.
Kirsty is a cat person too which we have in common.
Everyone there is nice greeting you with water, tea, wine. A very pleasant experience.

Adrienne is amazing for color & keratin! I’ve been following her around from Vidal to Arrojo to Serenity for 13yrs and wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair. She has a great eye, listens to what you want and always makes my hair look fantastic. Love her!
For cut, Lam is wonderful. Years of experience at Vidal Sassoon (best training in the industry) and he is meticulous with my hair. Cuts last a long time and look great both when you first get them and as they grow out.

Love the salon: today I got yet another amazing haircut and color by Nem. Nem has been my stylist for four years and he has never, never disappointed me: he’s super professional, fast, precise, and has a great personality; he’s also super hip and up to date with the latest trends.

Nem has been cutting my hair for four years, and I recently followed him from his old salon in Astoria over to Serenity. I’ve consistently been happy with my cut and color. He sometimes encourages me to mix things up a bit – like going a shade lighter on my highlights or trying shorter layers – and I trust his judgment because he’s always on point.

Get my hair cut, colored, the works with the stylist Efthemia. Just chopped off half my hair into an inverted lob — I could not be more impressed! She’s a natural, plus she’s got that edgy, cool vibe — u just TRUST her taste. She will work to give you what you want, even if it takes multiple tries. LOVE HER!

NEM is just brilliant!
I’ve been going to him for a couple of years now and i’m always very happy with the results! Never skipped a beat on making my hair look great.
Don’t get scared by the fact that he is fast, he just know perfectly what he is doing.
Modern, daring and trendy NEM is super cool and interesting to talk to, gives great advices about hair products + styles and really satisfies your requests…2 inches cut? 2 inches it is! which is something that i really appreciate since i love to keep my hair long, and we all know how hard it is to find an hairstylist that actually listens to you!
I definitely am a satisfied client and I give NEM 5 stars!

I recently came to this salon because I followed Nem here. I had enjoyed his haircuts for many years in a salon closer to my home. Today I went in for a major change. I was going to cut my (rather) long hair into a pixie cut. I’ve been stalking pixie cuts on Google, Instagram and Tumblr for months, but I finally felt brave enough to move forward. I’m so happy that I came to Nem. As per usual, he did not disappoint. I feel beautiful, feminine and liberated. I seriously love this cut. Although this salon is not as close as I’d love it to be (I’m in Astoria), he’s ABSOLUTELY worth the trip. Nem is wonderful. He always listens to what I want and delivers a more beautiful me.

First things first — Efthemia is the stylist I see — and the only person since I’ve moved to NYC that I have let cut my hair more than once. She’s super cool, super talented and is adventurous as you want her to be when it comes to your locks. I always leave there feeling like a million bucks.
The salon itself is adorable. Everyone is super nice and they serve you wine! It’s interesting finding your way upstairs to it the first time but adventure is always good.
Highly recommend Efthemia and Serenity Salon.

Followed Nem from Astoria to this salon in the city. I came in for another cut and this time a color as well. I haven’t made a big change in a long time but all my fears disappeared when I saw the end result. He is so sweet and spot on each and every time. We talked awhile before he did anything to make sure we were on the same page which I appreciated! I will continue to come here to see him!

Kirsty is the best. I’ve been going to her for three years now, and have never been anything less than thrilled with both her highlights and her cuts. All of my blonde friends go to see her, and now that a lot of us have moved out of NYC we make sure to go see her every time we’re back in town.
HIGHLY recommend Kirsty and Serenity in general.

I just started going to Serenity since Nem moved here from my old salon. I’ve been going to Nem for 3 years and he’s the best! I have a short pixie cut and Nem always make it look awesome.
The salon itself is nice and inviting and in an excellent location. It took me a second to find the door (it’s on the second floor and you have to buzz to get let in). I will definitely be going back.

Mario @ Serenity gives awesome haircuts. He has cut my hair before and also gives really great men’s haircuts! I book my boss’s haircut with him now about every 6 – 8 weeks. It takes a lot of trust to send your boss somewhere, but Mario has never disappointed him.

Brandy is a wonderful stylist! I’ve been a loyal fan since 2009. She always give great cuts. Consistently awesome if that’s what you want. Or if you want to change it up she will do so in the most fantastic way. She’s creative. And it’s her mission to know what her customers like with their styling routine so she can educate you. I have 2 friends who also go to her and adore her.
If I ever decide to color my hair I feel very comfortable with Brandy.

Lam spent two hours on my hair. He spent the first hour analyzing, assessing, talking through potential cuts and hairstyles. Once he was cutting he was totally in the zone– so meticulous — it was like watching a scientist in a lab.
He was also amazing at reassuring me about my fine, thin hair — not trying to sell any products and actually saying that products don’t work — controlling diet and stress does. Highly recommend it — I came out feeling at peace and happy with my new cut :)

in my quest to completely take over chantelle k’s life (Single White Female style) i decided to give kirsty at Serenity a shot. loved her!
kirsty is great at listening to what you’re looking for, even if you’re doing a terrible job explaining it. she didn’t push me to try anything i didn’t want, but she also made some subtle suggestions based on what she thought would work best for me. she was fun to chat with during the cut and i’m so happy with the end result.
the salon itself is cute and the appointment booking process was a breeze. highly recommend it!

Cynthia in the best hair stylist I ever had!!!
I’ve been going to her for years and NEVER a bad haircut.
From haircut day and beyond, it always grows out perfect as well. I call her my curly hair guru, she’s great and fun to talk to. A real city girl, born and raised, just like me :)
I made my best friend start going to her too and she’s in love with her hair too, hooked.
I recommend Cynthia wholeheartedly, she’s professional, a perfectionist, listens to what you want and makes it happen, and if you have no idea what you want that’s cool too.
