Really good food — came in during happy HR and grabbed a chicken empanadas and arapas plus a Colombian beer. Food was delicious. Front doors open let in the great breeze from outside. Good ambiance too, with Colombian music playing in the background.

My party of 7 came on a Wednesday night after work. It was pretty quiet; we had made a reservation beforehand but we didn’t need to. I think they are located a little too east of East Village that people would rarely stumble across this place. We ordered a pitcher of the«The Best» Red Sangria, which was very refreshing. It was half off all arepas that night so we tried almost every arepa on the menu. The pabellon was really good, much better than the pork or the chicken. Then we got 3 paellas to split among the 7 of us. It was more than enough and tasted great. The seafood was fresh and the rice was perfectly moist and flavored. The service was really good too — probably because there wasn’t really anyone else dining at that time.(There was only one other table of 2 besides our table.) 4 stars for their food and service, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go back again because it’s a little too far from the trains for me and there are many other places to try in East Village.

Good food, good drinks, and a really comfortable atmosphere. I don’t think I’ve gone to a restaurant as friendly as this in NYC. Got the plantains and guacamole and salmon entrée.

Stopped in for dinner with my parents. The food was excellent. My mom ordered the burger and said it was very juicy and had a nice spice to it. My dad and I ordered the snapper which was perfectly cooked and included generous portions of quinoa and avocado. The staff was exceedingly friendly and the décor and feel was nice. My dad, who never Unilocal, even said he’ll be reviewing this one. I’ll likely be back…

Totti was an OUTSTANDING bartender and will be my first choice for my next dinner. Drinks were excellent, service superb, professional an thorough. I sit at the bar and enjoy his exotic cocktails made with fresh fruits. The burger that I order was just perfect! I’ll Definitely return and recommend this place to my friends!

Had a late dinner with bae. I’ve been craving Ropa Vieja for days. Unfortunately, they were out, but recommended a great substitute. This was the Colombian Stew, which was off the menu. It was very similar, but large chunks of tender beef that could be shredded easily. We had delicious Mezcal and piña cocktails and a carafe of the red sangria. Both were delicious. Finally, the staff was a small group of cute guys that were all really sweet and helpful.

Fantastic personalized service and accommodation throughout our meal. Everything came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend anything with their plantains — in fact, the plantain chips came out warm with the ceviche.

The most genuine and perfect sangria – actually tangy from fresh ingredients and not overly sweetened from sugar being dumped in. Have to try the rosemary. And we ordered guacamole. Three times. Yum and thanks. Empty on a Friday, but shouldn’t be given quality and prices, and the super nice waiter.

Absolutely the best meal! Best service! Best drinks. Such a good spot in this congested area. Tried to get into two other spots tonight and too crowded with rude hosts(yucca bar and Cienfuegos). Had given up due to the fact that nothing came up in Unilocal but walking down this street found this spot where bartender was welcoming to my party of 6. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. The prices for the amount of food was great! Would so return here if ever in the area again. Really enjoyed ourselves.

If I could I would rate this place 2 stars and a half. The same way we were served half our steak and the other half came when he was done with his meal. We forgave them… But everyone who ordered bacon received it towards the end of there meal as well. Service was very slow and only one girl would bring plates down every 20 minutes. This place is «family friendly» but they only have one high chair that they lent out to the next door restaurant. So our 1 year old was floating around during brunch. The brunch menu is small(5 items) and la Bandeja wasn’t on it. They have a larger menu after 4pm. This is suppose to be a «Colombian» brunch so I was upset it wasn’t on the menu. It also was so hot my mascara was dripping down my face. But despite all this, the steak was really good.

I have been searching manhattan for a Bandeja Paisa that meets my very high standards. My family is Colombian and I have tried a Bandeja Paisa from many different restaurants. The one here is delicious. It has the right ingredients with great flavor… the only complaint I had was that the plate was a little smaller compared to other’s I’ve had. It still turned out to be a good amount of food though; I was pleased. The Arepas were also very good. I requested an Arepa without anything on it(just butter and salt, like we used to do it at home). It was fluffy/soft on the inside and crispy on the inside, exactly like it’s supposed to be. The atmosphere is nice. The seats that are by the benches near the wall aren’t really at the same level, so one side of the table might be seated a little higher than the other. That’s my only real complaint. Still 5 stars though.

Just saw this place while walking home and decided to go back for dinner. They had a great offer for a free glass of wine with dinner purchase. At first glance it looks small but the downstairs is really nice. Our food was really filling and tasted great! Potions were on the smaller side but it was still filling. Especially loved bathroom where you can write with chalk on the walls. Good way to spend a Friday night.

Had my rehearsal dinner here. Wonderful staff amazing food. Alberto was very helpful in planning. Pernil and calamari were especially delicious. Sangria was surprisingly strong. They have made lifetime customers of Mr. And Mrs Guerrero! Can’t wait to come back for brunch. Thank you again for a for a wonderful night.

Ordered pernil for myself and a bandeja paisa for my man. Portions are so small! I checked the photos on Unilocal before ordering and I don’t know if delivery comes in smaller portions.(Check out my pictures. Try to find the rice!) Cmon guys! How is that authentic? Bandeja paisa literally means big ass plate! For $ 18 too? The chorizo, arepa, plantain tasted really good but pernil was very dry. The chicharron was all fat and impossible to chew and essentially flavorless.
