I ordered from here for delivery and I work across the street at the hospital and it took them over an hour to deliver A SANDWICH this is not the first time I got bad service. Another time I was in the store and ordered, people who ordered after me got their orders and I still didn’t get mine. I complained to the cashier and waited close to 10 minutes for an omelet then walked out.

Very disappointing. Ordered beef teriyaki — completely tasteless. Ordered broccoli, mushrooms and bean sprouts as my add-ons. Rather than telling me that they were out of bean sprouts, he took it upon himself to add alfalfa sprouts — yuk! Who wants alfalfa sprouts in a teriyaki bowl? When I mentioned it, it was an indifferent«sorry about that»(«I’m too busy playing with my phone to worry if a customer is not satisfied or unhappy.») I may give them a second chance, but you only get one chance to make a good first impression. This place just let me down completely.

The cashier added cream and sugar to my coffee, which I did not ask for. Proceeded to be argumentative unnecessarily.

Satisfies cravings for coffee, pound cake and inexpensive breakfast sandwiches. They have amazing burgers! Huge, filing and not way expensive. I love close to this place so it’s convenience is an added bonus. Never had their sandwiches, but all else is good in my book.

If you work in the area Seattle is a safe choice. This place is def my go to place when I can’t make up my mind for lunch. The food and prices are both decent. Burgers are a hit or miss. Sometimes it tastes amazing with the grilled/charcoal taste I like, sometimes it’s bland. I love their curly fries, chicken fajita panini and breakfast sandwiches. The salad is not worth $ 8 – 10 so skip it.

This is the last time I patronize this place. Beware if you use your credit card, the male cashier will overcharge you and hope you don’t notice. I am not going to get angry over $ 1 or so, but avoid this place! The food is acceptable, but go next door for salads, smoothies, etc or go to Sammy’s Gourmet(across the street) for sandwiches. Breakfast is pretty good at the carts or at the Sinai cafeteria. Again, AVOID!!!

Good food and nice people. Good array of breakfast and lunch options. Prices are reasonable too.

Loved their coffee, way better than in DD and Starbucks. Also it is way faster. They also got decent smoothies. Sometimes I get oatmeal for breakfast and it is also pretty good. Service is fast, and I think this is the most positive thing about it.

This review is written by the roommate of the Unilocal account owner: I do not even have a Unilocal and I just HAD to get on my roommate’s account and vent. Do not EVER go to this place. Not only have at least 3 people we know gotten violently ill from their food, but if you order delivery and find that the food is not fresh, they refuse to replace it or give you a refund! I just got off the phone with them having been told, «there is nothing we can do.» Hello! Of course there is something you can do – bring me fresh food or give me my money back! Customer service for dummies much? There are not a ton of food options around this neighborhood, so it can be tempting to «just go to Seattle,» but ANY other place is better. Trust me!!!

Not the best food, but excellent, friendly service. Good smoothies.

Eh, its a pretty standard deli, but with terrible service. Like super duper slow. You’d think since they have so much competition in the neighborhood, they’d hustle a little… Food is not very fresh, coffee is terrible and oatmeal is sticky. I’d say go across the street to Q MarQet or Sam’s…same quality, better service and less annoying lines.

4 stars for the coffee alone. On a block with an overcrowded starbucks, inexpensive delis with gross coffee and overexpensive fancy cafes, this is my always go-to place for coffee before work. I LOVE that the lady worker steams my milk when I get a coffee with milk so that it stays extra warm and mixed :)

Brief summary(3⁄5): Pros: +Pretty quick, if you’re looking for that +Prices are reasonable, especially considering some of the gouging that goes on in the 80s and other areas of the UES Cons: –Microwaved ingredients for some dishes, including burritos(yuck?) –Salad bar, even at the beginning of the day, don’t look very fresh –Staff can be inattentive If you’re by Mount Sinai and you’re looking for a quick bite, you really don’t have too many options. Seattle Café tries to address this need by offering salads, sandwiches, pastas, stir frys, and other dishes you might expect from a «deli»(… I hesitate to call it that). The problem is that they don’t do most of these things well — the ingredients appear less than fresh, the cashier can often be inattentive, and the whole establishment feels a little untidy. This place is good for a quick bite, but don’t expect to be blown away. — Sample foods I’ve gotten from here: Chicken burrito — not bad for a quick, non-Mexican establishment, but the ingredients are taken from the display, microwaved, and then put into a wrap of your choosing. For $ 7 – 8, I would expect a little more than a microwaved burrito. Breakfast sandwiches(with bacon, sausage, or egg) — Pretty good, and at $ 3 – 4(depending on what you add), it’s fairly priced.

This place is good for breakfast for lunch. The food isn’t mind blowing, but it does the job. The workers are efficient and the ladies at the registers are sweet. It gets crowded in here and the setup is a little bizarre. However, I recommend this for a quite bite to eat.

I order from this place regularly for delivery for breakfast and have always had a good experience. Their French toast and waffles are great for the price. Today, however, I decided to pick up my two breakfast orders instead and was not pleased with the service. I got home to find that in both orders my eggs over easy were actually fried. I called back to tell them this, getting the same girl I told three different times earlier that I wanted my eggs over easy, and she just gave me some stuttering excuse about how they couldn’t replace my breakfast order today, which is ridiculous! She put me on with the manager, and when I explained the situation, he basically accused me of lying and told me he wouldn’t replace my order until he sees the eggs himself. Since he pissed me off on the phone, I didn’t mind walking the six blocks over to give him a piece of my mind in person. I go in and show the girl the messed up orders, and she tells me she’s still not sure what she can do. I told her it’s as simple as replacing the eggs or giving me my money back. I saw the manager, this time in person, and I told him about his rudeness and told him to look at the eggs. After going back and forth with him again, he tells the cook to make me new orders. The entire time the only apology I received was from the cook who informed me that the cashier relayed the wrong order to him. It’s a shame that the manager and cashier’s attitudes were so ridiculous this morning because I really enjoyed getting my breakfast from here.

Ordering lunch with coworkers has the ability to cheer me up no matter what excrement is hitting the fan at work. Since I rarely leave my desk, it’s important to me that a place takes my order efficiently and delivers without errors. The sandwiches have great combos of ingredients. So far, my fav is the chicken club. The avocado sandwich was a bit dull in comparison. And for a really hectic work day, nothing beats a smoothie. Well, maybe a margarita.

I love their smoothie selections, and how you could pick a different type of «booster» to supplement your drink. I got their strawberry banana yogurt smoothie(forgot the actual name) with their protein booster and was full for the rest of the day. I got their large, which comes in a humongous cup. The drink was blended perfectly, with just the right amount of crushed ice throughout. They also use fresh fruit, so you know you’re getting the best.

Im staying at Mt Sinai for some testing so i heard from some people that this place was good. I walked in and it was dead! In the back all the food looked like it was sitting out for days but i wasn’t getting that I wanted a burger. I waited patiently for my turn and told the guy my order and watched him carefully put a COOKEDBURGER on the grill. So he gave me some story that they pre cook it put it in the fridge and when someone orders it they heat it up. Umm no thanks! You would think with all the places to eat around here they would try to cook the freshest and tastiest food to get the most business. If your to lazy to cook a fresh patty then forget it. I would never eat here. Left and went 2 ft somewhere else thats CLEANANDHASFRESHFOOD!

My review would be a 4 star if not 5 if it wasn’t my experience this morning. I have been coming to seattle since the summer of 2011. Its a great grab and go place, and they make really good breakfast sandwiches. Whenever I can’t make a good breakfast myself, I end up stopping here before going to work. I am a regular to say the least. Today, I went in to grab something small, just to hold me over until lunch — so I went with the pound cake. The total came up to be 2.45. This being completely over priced(I had expected nothing more than $ 2 for a piece of cake) I was short 20 cents. I kindly asked the cashier, who rings me up every time I come in if she could spare me 20 cents. She hesitated and so I offered that I could just charge it but I don’t have 20 cents. She immediately said«you can charge it». Is it just me or is there something wrong with that? If you’re running a business where you see customers come in on a regular basis, doesn’t it seem like proper service to spare someone when they’re short on some chump change. Regardless, I charged the pound cake made with gold flakes and will never go back again. I don’t mind walking a little farther to get some breakfast if that means I am appreciated for my business. Just as a side note: the pound cake is really good, guess thats a plus to this horrible start of a day.

I really like Seattle Café for the quick grab and go meal. I can only attest to their breakfast sandwiches and their salads, both of which are good. The salads in particular are a reasonable deal. 6 topping salads for $ 6.95 or $ 7.95 depending on whether you get the large or small. If you’re okay with 4 toppings its even cheaper. I’ve also tried the oriental chicken salad which was not bad. The salad comes with a roll, which sometimes I have to ask for. The rolls are hit or miss, but I enjoy them once I’ve toasted them and put butter on it. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I’ll be back.
