Good tea. Mediocre biscuits. Salty service. I always go into Sarabeth’s thinking I’ll like it but never do.

Supremely overpriced, mediocre at best. I can’t understand the appeal aside from the silly tourists who wander through Chelsea Market. Skip this place and go to the French bakery a few blocks away for a good reasonably priced treat.

Strolling by Sarabeth’s, we were drawn to the breads popping out of the oven and quickly ordered an assortment of muffins, biscuits and croissants. Sadly, the texture of the breads were dry and tough — imagine chewing on a piece of cardboard. Hopefully, they’ll work out the kinks the next few months.

Not bad at all. Super, hecka, hella sweet crème brûlée. Served chilled, moist texture– almost too moist & pudding like. Torched layer– super sweet, but good. I prefer crème brûlée less pudding like and thicker when it comes to the custard. It was a little more liquidy than I prefer. Also had a chocolate cake. It was ehhhh. Wouldn’t recommend or get again. Kinna dry. Elephant short bread cookie = very tasty. I’d go without the frosting. Overall, not bad, but wouldn’t really come back. Also, very touristy. From the Filipina foodie in NYC, Renee Rises

We ordered a chocolate pudding and it tasted great. It was not too overly sweet, had light cream and a bit of chocolate on top. On top of it, it was served in a glass jar!

I’ve heard of Sarabeth’s and only because of the jams. When I saw this store front in the Chelsea Mkt, I wanted to try their buttermilk biscuit and scone, with a cup of coffee came to $ 5.63. We were disappointed by the biscuit and scone. The biscuit was dry and not flaky enough and didn’t have a buttery taste, almost as bad as the biscuits served with KFC fried chicken. Didn’t really like the scone either. Stick with the jams.
