Not great, just an average pizza served by the slice. They don’t use fresh mushrooms so would advise to just sticking to the basic cheese slice.

The best slice in Hell’s Kitchen. No frills place. That is exactly how it should be. One of my favorite spots. The place was renovated a couple of years ago. I miss the old 70’s look.

The best pizza in NYC. I went there because of the reviews. Such a great pizza — 10 minutes and we were ready to eat. Highly recommended.

They serve the best pizza ever. It costs only $ 17. I’ll never forget the pepperoni pizza.

Crispy, melty, soft– in all the right places. My no-frills fav for an anytime Hell’s Kitchen call-in.

Ordered delivery from here, Pepperoni pie. Good crust, good toppings. Nothing fancy, but would definitely order from again. Delivery time was reasonable as well. One note, the delivery guy took cash and they didn’t offer me CC as an option. Not sure if they take them or not.

If you want a real, old school no frills NY corner slice that doesn’t cost $ 4, come to Sacco Pizza

Amazing, authentic, delicious thin crust New York style pizza. These guys have been making pizza for decades out of their unassuming storefront on 9th avenue, and they are clearly doing things right! Love this place so much I am actually going to order a pizza now because I can’t stop thinking about it!

«Hello Sacco» «Hi, I’d like to order pizza delivery» *angry yelling in assumed Italian, hangs up* Ok, if you don’t want my business, I’ll take it elsewhere

I was greatly disappointed. I wanted a good NY slice and saw the good Unilocal reviews, so I gave it a try. I’m not sure if it was just a bad day, but my pizza was pretty bad. I passed 2 dollar pizza places on the way, both would have been better… Sorry, but I won’t return anytime soon…

This is a nice little pizzeria nestled in 9 avenue. Walk too fast and you’ll definitely miss it, and trust me you don’t want to miss it. It takes a lot for me to give 4 stars and I rarely ever give 5 stars. So this place is quite good and definitely a goto for me. Don’t expect a nice warm greeting; however you can expect someone that will take their job seriously and make the pizza just right. I’ll take that any day over some incompetent nice person. They custom make your slice for you. This crust comes out just right and crispy, but not too crispy that it’s not bendable. The cost: $ 2.5 a slice plus $ 1 per topping. Soda cans cost another dollar and are stored in the back room(and yes you have to go get it yourself). Speaking of which, when you order some slices and if you go get a seat in the back, don’t expect them to come back and serve it to you on a silver platter. This is a pizzeria for crying out loud, not a michelin star rated restaurant. With that said, the pizza slice is just right, with a great ratio of sauce to cheese, and a perfectly crisp crust. The sauce is just a bit sweet, but not overbearingly so.

First of all to the nincompoops that actually make a point of unfriendly service. Shut up, its a fucking pizzeria. For this and many other reasons, Sacco is exactly what it should be. My problem isn’t with that, or the décor or any other trivialities like that… If you want service and décor, go to Spago, or more fittingly California Pizza Kitchen, which is most likely where you twits are used to. My problem here,(and let me say that I’ve been coming to Sacco for damn near 40 years, since the old name and old location a block away) is that its just not very good anymore. It used to be the kind of thing where you’d eat 2 or 3, be full, go home, and be thinking for hours about how great that pizza you just had was. Truly amazing. I have no idea what it is. Cheaper cheese? Different employees? I wish I could put my finger on it, but about 8 – 10 years ago it jumped some sort of shark and just hasn’t been the same. By the way, its still the best pizza in hells kitchen(with the exception of Merilu), which really says more about the state of pizza in the neighborhood than anything else. Brian Williams lies to us again.

Nestled into a narrow store front, Sacco Pizza may not look like much from the outside. But inside, they serve up some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. They’re masters of the thin crust. It’s crunchy and thin, but is still sturdy and chewy enough to let you fold the piece over with out cracking. The sauce is slightly sweet, without being cloying. The cheeses used were fresh and high quality. I think the cheese pizza ended up better than the pepperoni. When you ask for toppings, they add the uncooked ingredients to a piece of cheese pizza and then bake it. Because of that, the pepperoni didn’t seem as crucial to the flavor of the pizza. That said, it was still very good. The cheese pizza is an absolute star and, truthfully, doesn’t need toppings to shine. And for $ 2.50 a piece, you can’t ask for much more. This is what pizza was meant to be.

Very tasty pizza. Small area in back to sit. Plain cheese is the best, pepperoni the 2nd. Love that you can order more slices.

You might walk in here and think, «WTF, this is ghetto» and the guy heating your pizza might be easily confused with a pawn shop hustler. But the pizza is good and no frills. Repeat, good and no frills. They actually have seating too unlike, say Patzeria Perfect Pizza in the Theater District. Here’s the lay of the land: Basically all they make is cheese pizzas. Then they throw on whatever toppings you want. You want strawberry jam? Anaconda? Rubber tires? I’m sure they can make it happen. The point is, the base is very good(cheese, sauce, crust, etc.) and they get the ratios right. This place is easy to miss. Stop looking at your GPS the entire time. Take a mental note of the address then look for it.

Great for a quick slice. Its just reheated cheese pizza with whatever topping you want on it. But its so good! The garlic knots are sooooo good. Fresh garlic on bread with parmesan cheese. Then heated. And such a strong garlic flavor. Garlic!!! Very tasty! And for a really good price too! So don’t come disillusioned and have a quick bite! There is limited seating at this place…

Nice staff and great pizza! On a day trip to NYC my boyfriend and I good a flat tire messing up some of our plans for the day. After an hour and a half wait for AAA we were finally able to start out into the city. At that point we were starved and pressed for time so I pulled out handy dandy Unilocal and began searching for good food in the area. As I was in pursuit of quality food, unknowing to me, we past this establishment as my boyfriend tried to point it out. Unfortunately, I was too engrossed by my mission to pay attention to his commentary. A couple blocks later and I finally find a place. «There’s a good pizza place called Sacco’s nearby!»… A few angry huffs and retracing we ended up back here where we ordered two slices of pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. The pizza was very good New York style pizza: thin crust and tons of flavor. I also added parmesan and crushed red pepper, a nice additive. The garlic knots wee so-so, the dough was tasty but I wish there was more garlic. The price was pretty good too. For all of that, plus a water, the cost of our meal was $ 10. I thought decent for being in the city. The most annoying part was how small it was. It was a bit of a hole in the wall with little seating. We ended up sitting at a table with a guy who was nice enough to offer us to sit with him. This is definitely an authentic ny style pizza place that I would come back to for a slice or even a whole pizza. Yet, in the sane, there are so many others left to try!

I LOVE this pizza. The slices are HUGE, the sauce is yummy and the cheese just oozes off. Do yourself a favor and get a slice.
