Boris runs a tight ship here. Both my haircuts were great and required no wait at all on Friday night. Atmosphere is comfortable and casual and the price is right. He will take his time and do the job right. This is not at all a race to get you in and out of the seat unlike some other shops.

The best barber in the city. i found Rybar/​Boris Barbershop about 2 years ago when I worked nearby, and now I make a point to head there regardless of where I’m working.
Besides the $ 15 haircut my barber asks about my life, wife, family plans, and the news of the day. Maybe that’s all extra stuff, but you know what? My barber is the best in the city. It seems to be a secret, which works for me since I’m not waiting more than 1 or 2 customers when I’m in there.
What else do you need in a barbershop? There are even magazines for when you wait!

Arthur is a great guy and he gives a fantastic cut at an extremely reasonable price. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant and I walk-​in and rarely have to wait. This place is a major find.

Great haircut from Arthur, a fourth-​generation barber. He used to work in a salon and is now running his Dad’s business. So you get a $ 40 haircut for $ 15. No frills. Just a great haircut.

And he is reminds me of my grandfather.
He is 64 and holds the straight razor without a problem.
Best shave I have ever gotten!
