I think this place is really unique. They have so much space! It served as a great place for our relatively large(and meandering/not arriving at the same time) group to convene. Pizza was good pizza. Pricey beet salad had less greens accompanied than I’d hoped it would, but it’s flavors were bright and immaculate. The to go side had a few good drinks to choose from, including cold brew coffee and yummy cider. I’d return for sure, especially to try the ‘other’ side(sitting inside, drinking what promise to be well crafted cocktails!?) Yum.

This place is a disgrace. Extremely overpriced for underwhelming pizza sold to you by a bunch of obnoxious hipsters. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Quality/Taste: Got the Margherita pizza here, for which they charged $ 9. The employee working the cashier claimed they had the«best pizza in NYC.» After actually eating it, I found his statement laughable. The crust was burnt, the sauce was watery, and the basil tasted more like mint, which gave the pizza a bit of a toothpaste-like flavor. I’ve had better dollar pizza before. The cheapest option, which is the Rosso pizza, doesn’t even have CHEESE on it and it costs $ 6. You’re literally paying 6 bucks for a piece of bread and tomato sauce. Service: While the pizza quality was disappointing, the service was FAR, FAR worse. Two of the employees I dealt with while waiting for my pizza were very rude and condescending. One of them even had the nerve to bluntly call me «judgmental» right to my face. Seriously? Who the hell speaks to a paying customer like that? What a great business model. Not to mention, she did this after entering midway into a conversation I was having with another employee without any context as to what I was talking about. I was actually making a positive comment which she managed to interpret negatively. Rather than asking for clarification, she opted to INSULT me. Does she not realize that calling someone judgmental is, in itself, judgmental? Oh wait, I guess hipsters do love their irony. Before I left, I also asked another employee for a container. He responded«sure» and asked me to bring over my leftover pizza. He then gave me a paper bag. When I said that I wanted a container, he replied that they don’t give out containers for smaller pies because it’s a «waste of cardboard and all.» What a load of crap. I completely understand if they have a policy like that. What I don’t understand is why he said«sure» in the beginning when I asked for a container, knowing what kind of pie I purchased and then made me walk back to my table and bring over my pie, rather than just handing me a paper bag right up front. Yeah, they don’t want to waste cardboard, yet they have no problem letting customers waste their money on awful pizza. While I can get over the overpriced pizza for sub-par quality, the rude service here is simply unacceptable.

Over-rated. Over-hyped. We tried the legendary Bee-Sting. Impressed with the combo of honey and chiles flavors but the sauce and cheese were really lacking… Just glad we didnt make the schlep to hipsterville bushwick for this…

Thank the heavens for Mad. Sq. Eats for it introduced me to the greatness of Roberta’s. Fresh ingredients, wood burning oven, thin crust, great flavors. The«famous original» living up to its name. I cannot wait to try all of the other options. Definitely a 5 treat!
