I don’t even know why I’m writing a review for Rite Aid. It seems totally counter intuitive to a Unilocal situation. But I have to say, I’ve been in and around this neighborhood for more than five years and whenever I go there for deodorant, toothpaste, band-aids or Advil, they just dont have what I’m looking for. There is, however always a healthy selection of Axe body spray in every possible flavor as well as an endless supply of worthless greeting cards and press on nails… The staff is great, but as one of the only neighborhood go-to’s for the basics it SUCKSREALLYBAD. I say bite the bullet and pay 4% extra at Village Apothecary and find what you need. But hey, they always have coupons for cigarettes so if that’s yer bag go there.

After a day of walking 10 K for AIDSWALKNEWYORK and an evening of drinking paid for by someone else, I had a case of the munchies. I didn’t want anything too heavy so I stopped in here for some chips or nuts or anything I could eat on the train and not offend anyone. I bout some Cheetos and a container of store brand mixed nuts. Cashier was quick. The aisles were easily marked, thankfully.

Best pharmacy staff in manhattan. I took note right away as most of the customers were returning custs and knew the staff by first name. I believe the pharmacist is named Bai– she’s very quick, smart, and gives you the most useful recommendations for whatever your situation is. This Rite Aid Pharmacy is attentive, known mainly to locals, and personal. The pharmacist explained to me tiered pricing of medication and my options– I saved $ 43 because of her! Luckily I had no luck with the other pharmacies I went to: CVS(23rd and 8th) = Bad Tried to fill out a prescription the day before. but none of the staff wanted to be there and they badmouthed customers after the cust walked away(the manager participated). They said they didn’t accept United Healthcare… and I confirmed the next day they were wrong. Duane Reade on 14th and 7th is slow and usually backed up. And Walgreens in union square is good, but they’re quite busy and impersonal.
