I stopped here because my wife was at Mount Sinai for a few days and wanted something more comfortable than a hospital gown. I grabbed two ball gowns and some slippers for under $ 15. They’re probably flammable but — hey — they got the job done. Note they also have a selection of infant/children’s clothing. I’d probably come here for that given how fast they outgrow them

Employees are so nice and friendly. I think this is a much better location than the 116th St one. Its a little more crammed but with friendly staff I’d come here! Selection was good and had a lot to offer. I got great lounge pants for $ 5! Great store.

I found some great tights here. When I went to use my credit card, they requested ID, which I think is illegal(due to discrimination). That rankled me.

Today, my husband and I decided to venture uptown a bit. We live on the Upper East Side, and the shops in my area do not carry my size, are too snooty if they did, and seriously overpriced. Many times in the past, people have told me to «go uptown» to buy clothes. I dismissed people’s recommendations, and little did I know what I was missing out on! I am a size 12⁄14 woman. I have plenty of curves, and with the right clothing, it does flatter me. So, we stumbled upon Regines. I have been searching high and low for a pair of short-shorts, Daisy Duke type shorts for ages now. H&M had them in a size 14 but the legs were so thin that it seemed that they were a size 8 leg labelled a size 14. Seriously…do they think women who are size 14 are going to have legs that are the size of thin arms!!! Anyway… Everything was laid out nicely at Regines. I was amazed by the prices. I looked around the store, and there was no pressure from anyone working there. Other patrons were nice, and the employees were nice. I was very impressed with the prices and quality of the clothes. I looked at the various short shorts that they had. They had all types. I tried on three. I chose one. I believe they are called«Paco Jeans» brand. The short shorts are cute, stretchy, and have vanity«P“s on the pockets. I found a pair in size 17. It is odd, the sizing, because I am never a size 16, and I thought clothes came in even sizes. It did not matter– what mattered was that the shorts fit me well. Who cares about a number! The legs were perfect: wide enough for me to get into. I was able to pull these short shorts up! Yay! For the first time! These were definitely not«fat clothes». Hope I do not offend, but let’s be real: some clothing looks pretty bad that they design for us curvy gals! So I got the shorts! Then, I found in the clearance section, some«southern style»(in my opinion) checkered shirts. I found one that was reddish/pink. I decided that shirt would go perfect with the shorts! It was a very busty shirt and flattering on me. Lastly, I picked out a cute pair of white panties with pink hearts… lacy. This entire set set me back only 30 bux. Best part: My husband was drooling over me, and we had, um, a VERY busy and fun Sunday!!! I suggest this shop for ladies who want to look good and do not want to spend a lot of money. I also suggest it to anyone who wants a fun experience without any snooty attitudes, where women with curves can find their size! The only downside: they have a lot of cool merch in the shop. It can be a little tight getting by and looking at everything! I will definitely return to this shop. I will also tell my friends about it!
