I went to Pulse after buying a package on Gilt City. I had been to a different place for brazilian laser treatments before and had a good experience, but wasn’t totally satisfied with the results, so I thought I’d try Pulse after reading the reviews. I’m so happy I did! They really are fantastic — super clean, very knowledgeable and really nice. I’ll probably keep going here for treatments after my package is over. Definitely go here for your laser treatments!

I had my first laser hair removal treatment 6 weeks ago and it was completely life changing. Prior to laser I had to get waxed every month because my hair would grow back so fast. I also would get annoying ingrowns and discoloration from waxing… I decided to bite the bullet and invest in laser. A friend of mine told me about Pulse back in 2013 and after much procrastination and research and decided to give them a try due to their outstanding reviews. I HAVE NO REGRETS. The staff is very professional and the environment is clean. My session with Komal was amazing, she is very knowledgeable, personable and made me feel comfortable during the treatment. I cannot complain about anything.
I bought packages of 6 for the Brazilian, and lower stomach. I have not waxed or shaved since my first treatment because the hair growth is very minimal after just 1 treatment. I feel so relieved, this is a big weight off my shoulders and I cannot wait for my second session tomorrow. I would recommend Pulse to anyone!!!

I went to Pulse and have never looked for other laser centers. They are professionals and guide you accurately. They made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions pretty patiently, given I was trying this for the first time. Along with competitive pricing they keep coming out with good deals. I always go to Komal at Pulse and simply stating, she is AWESOME! She is really friendly and very skilled. She gives a lot of personal attention to the clients, amicable and understands what might be the concerns and addresses them well. I have felt very comfortable with her and have not had any complaints with her services. I am regular with her coz she is great at what she does! In fact she is good company as well and is a lot of fun to talk to.

Love this place and I love Komal! Pulse is slightly more expensive than some other places you can get vouchers for (though they currently have deals on Gilt City– go get them, now!) but it’s 1000% WORTH it! They use the best machines that get you immediate results. I bought a voucher for 6 lower leg sessions back in April 2014 AND I HAVEN’T USED THEM ALL YET! I go for months without any hair. I used to have to shave every day AND I’d get horrible red bumps afterwards. This has literally changed my life.
Go here and go to Komal! She is an awesome person, very knowledgeable and she puts you at ease during what can be a painful experience. She is super accommodating with appointment times and I actually look forward to catching up with her!

I’ve had two facials at Pulse and couldn’t be happier. I am a facial lover and have had facials all over the city and am SO particular.
First, I had a fabulous facial with Ariel. Her facial massage and gentle manner put me at ease. It’s called a Minus Ten and I did feel ten years younger after getting it! It’s the second one I’ve had so I guess I feel 20 years younger now! LOL.
Then I bit the bullet and tried out the Vampire Facial with Dr. Erica. I can’t say how much my skin has improved as far as tone and texture. I’m going back for more. Your face does get a bit puffy at first but well worth the results. And Dr. Erica is so vibrant and actually checked up with me after the facial to make sure I was happy. That’s a first. She also helped me with my skin care régime.
I also got some hair removal from two small areas and both technicians were so helpful and seemed to really care about me, unlike other places I’ve been.
Pulse is a gem! I feel like a million dollars just walking into that place.

This place is legit. Went to a different laser spot in chelsea and it was definitely not as clean as this place. Had Komal help me deBear myself. She’s professional and answers my questions. I am questions asking type of guy. Def would recommend to my friends.

If I could give 6 stars I would…
When I say I am a picky person, that’s an understatement. So you can imagine how picky I am when it comes to finding the right person to do my laser hair removal.
Elizabeth (Liz) is my technician and she is extremely thorough, friendly, professional and she always makes sure that I have a great experience.
It took me a lot of combing through other locations to find Pulse but I can confidentially say that I am glad I did my homework and found this gem. It is BY FAR the cleanest, warmest, and most welcoming skin care spots I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot. Their price point can’t be beat either. Pulse is conveniently located in Midtown makes my life so much easier.
So thank you to Pulse and thank you to Elizabeth for doing such an amazing job.

I can’t say enough about this place, particularly my technician KOMAL. To give a brief history… I had waxed for years, which brought on absolutely horrible ingrown hairs… leaving scars, and never going away. I began laser treatments with a technician who ran her own laser business whom I assumed was using up to date equipment. Turns out she wasn’t. It was beyond painful, but it the results were SO much better than waxing. Slowly, my ingrowns dissipated as did my scars. I could finally wear a bikini again.
Then I heard about Pulse. No coupon, no deal, I paid in full up front to try it out. That’s when I met Komal. She uses a state of the art laser machine called the Alex. The pain is MINIMAL compared to the other machine used. And the results are SO much better. I’ve only had to go to Pulse three times this year, and with my other laser lady, I had to go every 2 – 3 months. But really, the best part about Pulse is Komal. Her positive energy, COMPLETE knowledge of what she’s doing… total understanding of the craft of laser (and it IS a craft… knowing what strength to use on each patient)…makes the experience blissful. I’m in an out in less than 15 minutes with a smile on my face… pain free, and amazing results. I could not recommend Komal and Pulse with enough enthusiasm. She’s the real deal. And so is Pulse.

This review is for Microderm experience with Diana.
After not so pleasant experience with a different skincare clinic in NY, I was so happy to find Diana at Pulse. I had my first microderm session with her a couple weeks back and she was absolutely amazing!
She started out with a gentle facial massage (which I did not expect!) followed by a 15 — 20min session of microdermabrasion. The entire experience didn’t feel rushed at all and she gave me a lot of good skincare tips. She was very professional yet personable.
It seemed very promising that I went ahead and committed myself for the full 6 sessions of microderm over time. I’ll continue to update my experience here.
First experience was good, hope future experiences are positive as well!

I started my treatments at Pulse in November 2013 so, 18 months later, I’m ready to review. I bought a package for half leg, underarm and Brazilian/​bikini. After your free consultation, they give you the price and, as for 2013, I paid about $ 3000 for 6 sessions for the 3 treatments. Pricey. They recommend you to go every 6 – 8 weeks, but since you can’t be tanned, I found it hard to go during Spring and Summer time and ended up having treatments at random frequency. Today was my last appointment for bikini and underarm and here’s the situation: I have almost no hair left for underarm and it takes months to regrow. Same goes for bikini, but I have to shave about once a month. Still pretty good. Even though I shave, I could go ok for more than a month, to be honest. I have little hair left. As for the half leg, I still have 2 treatments left and almost no hair.
I know that laser treatments work better in fair skin and dark hair, which is my case, but I think the quality of the equipment also helps a lot. I never had any issues with discoloration, pain afterwards or blisters. The place is clean and bright and everyone is very professional. Not too friendly, not too cold. Right on the spot. I always had my treatments with Michelle and, because she was so nice, I always asked for her. Then, for my last treatment today, I didn’t ask for Michelle and had my session with Monica. She was SO nice! Lovely and caring, she gave me time between the worst beams and, overall, I felt less pain than I expected.
So, overall: I’d definitely recommend Pulse for anyone looking for an excellent laser hair removal spa. I’d recommend you to ask for Michelle or Monica, but just b/​c they’re the 2 I know. I’m sure all of them are great!
–1 star b/​c of the appointment system. You «ask» for an appt. online, giving 3 dates (but only 1 time for the three dates). I’d love to have an online system so you could see the hours available and pick up your slot, like other places do.

Their prices are a bit on the expensive side in my opinion but you get what you pay for.
