Got a MAN Shave and a hair cut for my son. The shave felt awesome and my son Look Great in his hair cut. These guys are craftsmen in hair. I will come again. One star less for not accepting credit cards.

I originally came to this barbershop because the majority of the reviews were good, fairly cheap and it is within walking distance from my apartment.
This is a standard neighborhood barbershop with the TV blasting an action movie and a laid back atmosphere. The barber was friendly and welcoming. The overall barbershop was fairly clean and they have a decent amount of sitting for the waiting area.
The perks of going to this barbershop is that they offer complimentary beverages as well as condoms and lubrication if that is what you are looking for. The barber that cut my hair tried to pressure me into grabbing a couple condoms which was a uncomfortable experience since I turned down the offer twice.
I told the barber that I wanted a tape up. The barber completely ignored my request and shaved down the top of my head because he thought it would look better because of the texture of my hair. I was instantly unhappy because I’ve been growing my hair out for a specific hairstyle and he completely disregarded the request.
The overall haircut was okay aside from the lining being a little off and the barber telling me how I should have my hair. If you are looking for a place that is decently priced and looking for a simple haircut go to this place. If you are looking for something more complex invest the money to go somewhere else.

I am a fan of this place! Okay so the cut isn’t spectacular but it is still really good — pretty much above average for what I would expect from a random barbershop. They finish the cut fast. There’s also complimentary drinks which is pretty sweet. This is definitely a good value for the price.

Mike is the man. Great haircut, good convo and good price. Free drinks and other things for men. Don’t hesitate to stop here or to make it your regular spot, fellas.

After moving to East Harlem from the East Village, I wanted to find a barber shop within a subway stop or two that was affordable, friendly/​comfortable, and most importantly, left me with an acceptable haircut. Suffice it to say, given my score, this place fulfilled everything.
I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait, which was great. Even if there had been a wait, Igor and staff work so efficiently that I can imagine they end up working through a line rather quickly. Being my first time at a new barber shop, it’s always a guessing game how much detail you should use in describing what sort of haircut you want, but Igor was on board and understood what I was going for quickly.
I said it before, but it’s worth repeating: Igor works quickly, but without sacrificing quality. I was in and out quickly, but never felt that he was rushing his work. Ended up being very happy with my cut. And for $ 18, it’s a good deal after getting used to paying $ 25-​$ 35 for similar cuts in the Village. The free drink on the way out is a nice little touch. It is worth noting that this place is cash only, so keep that in mind if you head in.

Really great and affordable place! Just tell what do you want and they will do. Or of you are not sure they will make of their best! Just great and professionals! Go to Mike!

Found these guys after I moved back into the neighborhood in late 2012. They’re the closest to where I live, and they’re great!
My first haircut was with the boss, Igor, and I’ve gone back to him ever since, except for today, when I dropped by not knowing that Wednesday is Igor’s day off, so I got my hair cut by Artur. I was hesitant at first, because you get used to a particular barber, and her gets used to you, but Artur picked up right where Igor left off, and my cut was as good as I would have expected.
These guys speak Russian, but I think they’re mostly if not all from the Central Asian republics. The reason I mention it is that I’m East Asian, and they seem automatically used to cutting Asian hair and understand how it grows. We also seem to get along pretty well as far as the chatting with them goes.
The bonus that you get as a customer there is that you can get a free bottled drink from their little fridge by the counter; but the even bigger bonus I discovered today is on top of the fridge: they recently started carrying free NYC Condoms and individual packets of personal lube — which alone are worth the fifth star in this review!
So now Pro can be your one-​stop shop for a good haircut in the afternoon and supplies for an exciting evening later on!

The single worst haircut I’ve ever received.
I walked in and sat around for a bit. The barber who was there mentioned that they were closing soon — half an hour early, according to their schedule — and I offered to leave. But he said to stay and I did. I asked for a very basic fade and — immediately — I could tell he was rushing through. The entire haircut took all of 10 minutes and, when I got home, I realized that nothing was salvageable. I’m black; my hair is not difficult to cut. Yet — somehow — it was entirely uneven, patchy and sloppy. I was left with no choice but to buzz off the hair I’ve been growing out for a few months now.
Entirely unprofessional to tell someone to stay when they offer to leave and let you close early… and then rush through the ****ing haircut and take money out of their pocket for doing so.
I’m never going back and I’d encourage anyone to avoid the establishment altogether.

Been coming here for a long time now (prob almost 10 yrs). Always a good haircut and couldn’t be happier with the service. Just brought in my 20 month old son and especially impressed with the haircut he got. The barber moved quickly and carefully while my son was crying and squirming. My wife said it was his best haircut yet and she usually takes him to shops that cater to kids and charge twice the price.

Got a haircut today by a guy named Mike. They are very friendly people and offer complimentary drinks. The hair cut was superb and I will definitely be going back!

This is a great place for getting your hair cut. They are fast, they are inexpensive, and they do a damn good job. I won’t be going anywhere else.

These guys offer a good cut at a reasonable price. The best one seems to be the bald, pudgy one. Everyone else is fine but that one in particular seems to be the most skilled and it appears that most people wait for him. The problem I have with them is that they sometimes say extremely racist things! This is especially bad if you understand Russian! Sadly, I frequented them because of convenience but I really wished I had another option. Other barber shops around that area are either ridiculously expensive or terrible.
Just don’t speak with them too much, you’ll leave feeling much better.
