After seeing thee great reviews this place had, I decided to buy the $ 15 for $ 25 Unilocal Deal and try them out.
Asif cut my hair and did an okay job after giving him further directions. I also opted to not have the full neck shave, and instead, just to clean up the edges instead of shaving it all off. Even then, Asif barely did a good job of cleaning up the edges on my beard. I asked him to shave off the mustache, and he didn’t even apply any sort of shaving cream, yanking out roughly some hairs, and leaving others on my mustache after I had specified for him to clean up completely. Also, they don’t do a good job of cleaning you up, leaving hairs all over your face and not applying gel.
When it was time to leave, they basically were charging me more on top of what I had already paid with the Unilocal Deal! I was pissed! Never coming here again. Beware when buying the Unilocal Deal as well!

Came here for the 15 dollar cut, shampoo coupon. Never had a shampoo in a barber shop before so that was pretty rad. Felt like a head massage. After, a nice russian lady cut my hair. Cut was good, she was nice and chatty. Kept me engaged the whole time. Went around 1 and was able to get everything done within a half hour, no wait.

Had an appointment with Asif. It’s conveniently located near the subway stop at 53rd and lexington, so I gave them a try. The pre-​cut shampoo was accompanied by a thorough head massage. Out of all the barbers I’ve tried, Asif was the first who knew what I wanted to do with my difficult hair. Will definitely be returning!

I used a Unilocal deal here for a $ 15 shampoo, cut and finish with a straight razor. It’s a half block from my office, and I was in a jam, so I thought ‘why not?’ The price is normally $ 26.
My barber, Asif was surprisingly fast and efficient and my hair looks great. It’s a no frills haircut, not a lot of bells and whistles, but my hair on top is THICK and Asif was really good at chopping it up to make it looks manageable and not some crazy homemade hair helmet.
All in all, I’m very impressed and will likely go back! While I think $ 26 may be a little high for a barber cut (the only reason I knocked off a star), the location and quick service may just make it worth it!

Clean and quick, went here after work one night with the Unilocal deal. Can’t beat a $ 15 haircut with shampoo. I’m usually a barbershop guy but for a few extra bucks the hair wash is a nice treat. The barber did a very nice job and I was out of there in no time.

Great place. Asif gave me a great cut and they spent a good deal of time thoroughly shampooing my hair. Will be back again. 26 bucks is a bit steep in price but worth it for this place.

This place was great — found it from a Unilocal promotion ($ 15 for cut, wash, and back-​neck shave; usually $ 26). Very personable staff and didn’t have to wait long.
The haircut overall was great — have been getting compliments all weekend.
Definitely recommend this place, especially for those working in mid-​town looking for a quick cut by work.

I had a great experience at this barber shop. First of all, despite being a barber shop the décor of the place is nice and modern, it feel like you’re in a high-​end salon but with barbershop prices. The haircut itself was also a positive experience, I got a shampoo before and after, and the stylist was attentive to the haircut I wanted. Overall, the I am very satisfied with the whole experience.

I needed a haircut near my office and based on the Unilocal reviews I decided to try out Prestige on Lex and 55th. I was literally a walk in, and all I knew was that I wanted to change my hair but remain appropriate for a business setting.
Asif greeted me as I walked in, sat me down, and we talked for a minute or 2 about what I was looking for. He gave me a fast (but not rushed) excellent haircut. He also recommended a hair product for my hair that would add less than 2 minutes to my daily routine but would make a difference throughout each day. A week later I can say he was spot on and the haircut still looks great. The haircut plus the reasonable price means I will definitely be going back.

Just moved to midtown east right next to prestige. I am always nervous about picking a new spot but after reading some reviews and giving this place a shot it was definitely worth the price for the great haircut I received! Asif was the man. He gave me a bunch of advice for how to best cut my hair based on my unique hair and head qualities. Results were great!

I recently visited Prestige’s second location and it’s just as great as the first. I recently came in for a wash and cut with Natasha and was greeted by a very friendly staff. The haircut itself was excellent– exactly what I wanted for a very reasonable price with no wait (I had not made an appointment). I have been a fan of Prestige Barbershop for several years and am thrilled that there is a second location adding to the convenience for anyone that works or lives in midtown.
This is definitely the place to go if you’re looking for a high quality, affordable haircut!
