This deli was located near our hotel so we decided to give it a try as opposed to Starbucks which was across the street. We went there 2 days in a row for breakfast and the egg, cheese and sausage sandwiches were awesome but what kept us coming back bc the service was AWESOME. Both times, they remembered our order and remembered how we take our coffee(4 total). Overall, excellent food(big portion) and wonderful customer service. Looking forward to coming back!

We were going to go to Carnegie deli, but the line was huge and we saw Première Café and deli. Everything we had was fantastic, but I especially loved the bagels and an amazing turkey avocado special sandwich on some kind of fresh grain bread that was ridiculously tasty I think people have the wrong idea about which restaurant to wait in line for, considering they’re right next-door to each other!

Excellent everything! This is the second time I have tried to eat at Carnegie’s and the line in the hot sun kept us away. The Premier Café is wonderful. Plenty of seats up stairs to eat with a group.

They advertise a $ 5 delivery minimum, however they refused to deliver my $ 8 order. Instead of calling to tell me this, I waited for 1:45hrs before finally calling to find out where my order is and they said they were too busy at lunch rush to deliver my small order. AVOID!

A great café to pickup a fresh wrap, sandwich or dessert. The staff was fast and accommodating to all requests. It was also very clean.

This is a great place to sit down and have breakfast. The service was pretty quick. Food was decent. I’m not sure if this is normal, but the selection is amazing. If you are visiting like me, and want to go somewhere to enjoy breakfast, this is a good option.

Solid breakfast/lunch place if you’re looking for a quick sit down brunch. Two breakfast sandwiches, French toast with bacon, muffin along with coffee, OJ, milk, ice coffee, and Red Bull… $ 50. Wish the bread they used was cut a little thicker.

Every time we visit New York we pop into this deli. Fresh and friendly. The desserts are awesome. It is a great place for a quick, inexpensive, yummy meal.

I was in New York the first of February. This coffee shop/deli was directly across the street from my hotel so we went there 3 different mornings for coffee. It was very busy and we happy with our purchases. The last morning I also order a bagel with lox and coffee at the takeout counter. I think the total was about $ 12 and I put a line through the tip area because it was take out. When I got home my bank statement showed they charged me $ 29! I didn’t save my receipt so I cannot dispute it. I can’t imagine how many people they get away with doing this to because people don’t check. VERYDISHONEST

This review is based solely on my interaction with the employees of Premier Deli Café. I was in desperate need of a restroom and so I popped into this deli just before catching the train home. I asked one of the employees if there was a restroom that I could use and he swiftly told me no. Upon making my way out I caught a glimpse of a sign that read, «Restrooms are for customers only», which was totally fine by me as that is simply the rule of the establishment. Not a huge deal. What bothered me is that he told me they didn’t have a restroom when he could have just told me that I needed to purchase something. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I thought… eh. Maybe the restroom is out of order or something. I made my way back over to him and asked, «Is it that you don’t have a bathroom or do I just need to purchase something?», to which he replied, «Maybe.» Maybe? And here I thought it was a simple ‘yes or no’ question. Annoyed, I went to find something to purchase. I asked another employee about the price of an item and he looks at me completely dumbfounded and replies, «I dunno.» Now… call me crazy. But isn’t the general customer service rule of thumb that if you do not have information about a particular service or product you then seek that information out in effort relay it to the customer? Instead he just stood there shrugging as though I had spoken to him in Klingon. In fact, he seemed almost amused by his inability to do his job. I don’t do reviews. Ever. But the lack of respect I felt from the employees of this deli was astounding and kind of shocking. Needless to say, this was my first and last time in Premier Deli Café.

I love this deli. During my visit in NYC I was looking for a nice place where I could order breakfast on lunch that offered an array of options, without spending as much money or time as you would in a real restaurant. Service is astonishingly fast. You grab your drinks or dessert in the rear fridge, then you choose your plate, sandwich, wrap or meal of the day in the counter. There are enough options like eggs with bacon, ham and cheese croissants, chicken, tuna and pastrami sandwiches and vegan friendly picks. The stuff is friendly and abundant. There wasn’t delay even in the busiest time of the day. On the first floor there is a nice dinning area with enough room, big screen TV, wifi(ask for the password at the register) and 2 individual bathrooms. If your want to drink a brewed Coffee I’m afraid it was a little watered down compared to similar value options elsewhere, so stick to hot chocolate if you want a hot drink. Recommended for travelers visiting NYC on a budget.

Asked for a Tuna Melt with cheddar cheese. What I got was a cold tuna sandwich with American cheese. Before the cashier bagged it I noticed it looked cold and she assured me it was hot. Of course I didn’t check for myself until I was back in the office and it was too late. Even if I wanted a cold tuna sandwich this wouldn’t have been a good one. Definitely DONOT recommend, especially with so many other options around.

When you think New York, you think New York deli. And the Premier Café doesn’t disappoint. It is located right next door to the much more famous Carnegie deli, but it is significantly cheaper and it offers all the deli standbys at cheaper prices. Plus you won’t have to wait in line. The Premier is combination bodega, deli, short order diner, greek restaurant, and sandwich shop. The desserts are particularly good and I’m a fan of the deli sandwiches. I can’t wait to go back and try the Greek food. Oh yeah, they have beer, too!

Best deli in midtown(in my opinion, after three long years of working in this area). The people here are friendly, the line is fast, their food is excellent, and their prices are on the low side of average. I take the train to a different stop in the morning sometimes, just so that I’ll have an excuse to go here. I usually get egg and cheese on a roll, but their egg salad sandwich is pretty good and their pasta really hits the spot when I have reached the level of winter depression that makes it seem like a good idea to eat a giant bowl of pasta for lunch. The overall experience is way better than any other deli I’ve been to in the area. My only complaint is that sometimes they forget to put ketchup in the bag, but is that really even important enough to complain about? Probably not.

Let’s see.rude.expensive.although it is clean, and the food wasn’t bad. Paid 30 dollars for plain pasta and a sandwich that’s not very impressive, wouldn’t go back. The workers argued when we asked for an extra fork.

The guy at the counter was friendly but the corned beef was average for a New York Deli, and expensive. The pickle however was very good and what you would expect from a NY deli. To top it all off I found 2 pieces of paper in the Corned Beef, as shown in the picture. Do not go here if you don’t have too. Try Katz or Bens

Carnegie Deli was closed due to renovations so we decided to eat at Premier. And, let me say, what a good choice. It was cheaper than Katz’s(it was 11pm and we knew they’d be closed), and the reviews were the same here as for Katz’s. Such a good corned beef sandwich. We split sandwich because we also got one of their huge black & white cookies. The sandwich was phenomenal. The pickle was tasty, and the staff was awesomely nice. One of the employees told us not to even worry about throwing our trash away. We totally threw our own trash away as the employees were already working so hard, and we aren’t animals, duh.: We were really happy that we ended up at Premier. I will definitely come back.

Really top Deli on Broadway right near the park. The selection of sandwiches, Heros and cakes is great. They have seating upstairs and a small amount of chairs and tables downstairs. The artichoke pesto and motzrella rolls were very very good.

Visiting from California, and this deli was pretty good, but nothing stood out. My mom and I visited in the morning, and we ordered the ham and cheese croissant and an omelette that came with potatoes and toast. The croissant was a little too salty for my taste, but the omelette was pretty good. Portions are really big, if that’s what you’re looking for. The line moved fairly quickly, and the eating area upstairs is nice and clean. Overall, not bad.

We were considering going to Carnegie Deli next door, but then saw the prices there, were overcome with sticker shock and decided to come here to Premier Deli instead. It was around 11:30 on a Saturday night when we stopped here, there was no line at the counter, we placed our orders, paid, and our food was heated and ready relatively quickly. There was a bit of a language barrier when I placed my order, as the gent behind the counter had a thick Spanish accent and was a bit difficult to understand, but there was no problem once I got to the cashier. I had a ham and cheese croissant and a bottle of juice, total was $ 13, there were 3 tables still open and we were both happy with our food. This place did fill up quickly with people placing«to go» orders shortly after we arrived for some reason.
