Reserving my spot in line (this line alone got me a cool review and two usefuls, what the hell.)
Anyway for the real review.
I called, made an appointment with the group he’s in, with a separate doctor. I woke up late (after a bout with insomnia) and missed my initial appointment.
I called to ask if the doc was still available, no dice. («Nothing’s available til Monday»). I called a second time and begged to be called in the rare event of a later cancellation. 20 minutes later, they tell me to be there in a few hours.
I make it on time this time around… am helped by a cute spanish girl. Fill out the forms bla bla bla…
Get called to the room (what’s the full name of this?). I wait for a good 10 minutes, and the doctor comes.
Actually listens to what I have to say… examines me and tells me what the hell he’s doing. Explains what he’s spraying in my nose.
Then disappears for what must’ve been 20 minutes. He said the anesthetic he sprayed in my nose needs time to sink in.
Comes back and sticks a tube in my nose… I’ve never felt anything that unique.
So he leaves again, the nurse tells me to go to his back office, filled with degrees and so on.
I wait about 10 – 15 minutes. He comes back and explains everything in laymen’s terms to me. Then speaks his medical terms and diagnosis into his digital recorder, which helped me reinforce what was happening.
Here’s the cool part.
His fee was THREE TIMES WHAT I PAY FOR A GENERAL PHYSICIAN. BUT.
He gave me one of the medications on the house, which any other physician would’nt have done for me. Then he only requires me to buy a 20 dollar medication.
I’m used to waiting for a doctor, so I won’t complain.
He paid attention to me.
He helped me find the problem and explained it in terms I could understand.
He gave me free medicine.
He was kind, but not creepy best friendly.
His receptionists are all cute.
His office helped fit me in after I blew the initial appointment time.
What’s not to like!!!
