I could only eat pies here once a year. They were so greasy and some were not very good. Expensive too! I am not surprised that this company went under. There are only so much pies of the same you could eat.

I toured my San Diegan cousin around NYC and Pie Face was suggested to her by a friend. We bought an array of pies for takeout(didn’t want to wake sound baby in carseat) and being that I like my food fresh, I took a bite out of a random pie while driving. It turned out to be Philly Cheesesteak. The meat was thinly cut, most, and delicious along with the oozing cheese. Pair that with delicious, smiley faced, buttery, not oily to the touch, warm crust and you get something close to bliss. My taste buds were immediately alerted by the food gods. As I drove further and further away, I could only think about how I didn’t buy enough Pies to take back with me to NJ. I was about 7 min away from Pie Face when I took a bite out of their Thai Curry Pie(Yes, I devoured the Philly one first). I was at the verge of entering Lincoln tunnel but my hand automatically turned my car back. I ended up buying 8 more pies. My standards are probably not up to par with those of new Yorkers(I didn’t grow up with a lot to choose from) so I practically have little to compare these pies to. For now, what I do know is that these pies rock my world. Favorites: Thai Pizza Philly Chicken mushroom Vegetarian tandoori veggie Chocolate mouse Apple crumble Pie that I wouldn’t buy again: Sloppy Joe

**3.5 Stars** So many pies, so little time! They have a wide variety of breakfast pies, savory pies, sweet pies, pastries, coffee/tea/soda, etc. Most are available in two sizes– regular and mini. And as the name suggests, the pies have cute faces on them which help indicate what filling it has. Love this concept! I ordered the chicken & mushroom and my boyfriend ordered the Thai chicken curry. Verdict: They tasted virtually the same. Although both were delicious– Reminiscent of a warm chicken pot pie with a buttery, flaky crust… the Thai chicken curry had no distinct curry flavor that differentiated it from the former. I initially also ordered the Aussie iced coffee(as advertised on the board) and they said it was only a summer offering. Why advertise it then? Instead I went with an iced nonfat latte, which did not taste good– the espresso was bland. We came for breakfast, perfect for a small meal or snack. Service was slow and less than average, despite us being one of the few customers there. Nonetheless, I’ll be back to try a sweet pie!

The only remaining Pieface retains the same menu, supplier and quality. Perfect on a freezing day — what’s not to like meat and savory pastry? Great wifi and a big table to work at. Top pies: Chunky Beef Thai Chicken Everything else…

Food: 4.5 Stars Service: 4 Stars Loved their savory pies and sweet pies. They will also offer to bake them a little if you are ordering to go. Their smallest size of pies are so cute! I ordered a couple of the meat pies to have after dinner from an unfulfilling meal and it was amazing. Pricing is a little on the steep side but they’re a great post-meal dessert to get. The people working the counter were also extremely nice and helpful in helping me decide what I wanted.

So my friend came home with a box of these a few months ago and they were delicious. Cute little individual pies with custom faces to tell them apart. If I remember correctly she brought home the philly cheese steak, minced beef, chicken and mushroom, bbq pulled pork, and a few I don’t remember. The crust was flaky and delicious and the perfect base for these savory pies. I really enjoyed the philly cheese steak and chicken and mushroom. Philly cheese steak had just the rite amount of cheese and was very flavorful. The chicken and mushroom was very tasty as well. I really thought it was cute and clever to make all different faces for the pies in order to tell them apart. I am really interested in trying some of their sweet pies like the mini apple crumble.

Have come here multiple times but it looks like the service has gone downhill since the last time I came here. I will never go here again. I ordered a ham, potato, egg, and cheese pie and an Aussie iced coffee. Told the guy what I wanted multiple times. Got a regular iced coffee instead and then was told that they didn’t have the Aussie anymore in the winter. Um, okay. How about tell me that BEFORE you make the order? Give me the option to make another choice. I’ve worked in food service before. I know this is possible. Also, update your blackboard menu so that I don’t look at it and order something you don’t have. Even so, I was fine with that and they gave me a refund for the coffee except I didn’t get my pie either. I sat and waited for 10 minutes, walked up to them to ask about the pie, and that’s when I was told that they were out. Great. I wonder if they would have told me this if I had sat and waited for an hour? Even so, the guy looked like he was going to charge me again. I said I didn’t want to get charged again since I already paid for the pie but that I was fine with the other choice offered to me. In response, he gave me a refund for the pie. Hint: if you’re out of something, don’t just give the customer something else. Or maybe you can tell the customer BEFORE you charge them for both items! I walked out and wrote this review. Seriously awful service. Not worth it. I would give 0 stars if possible. Perhaps they thought I was a tourist or something. No, I work in the neighborhood. Not going here for lunch ever again. Awful.

Well, it’s chain so there’s no difference between this spot and others, except that this is the ONLYLOCATIONLEFTINMANHATTAN!!! What happened?! It was just a few years ago when the first location opened in midtown. I remember it! I worked right across the street from it. Other locations sprouted out rapidly and now… gone! I’m happy to have this location. I’m obsessed with their Chunky Steak Pie(5 stars!), but honestly, of the savory pies, it’s really the only pie I like, so… hard to give them a solid 5 star rating. The sweet pies are good, but nothing spectacular. Thank you for staying open to quench my craving for that one pie.

It is worth noting that this Pie Face is now the last of its kind in the wonderful world of Manhattan– they have kiboshed pretty much every other location in the city. However this one remains standing tall and is holding down the fort. The premise behind Pie Face is simple– you have your sweet pies which are your delectable cheese cake, coconut custard, and other sweet options. And then you have the savory selection– cheesy meat pizza, bacon egg and cheese, pulled pork… and so on. They have a pretty diverse selection between both sweet and savory pies, which is something I admire about this spot. Pie Face does a good job nailing whatever you might be in the mood for. In my opinion, the flavor of the sweet pies is superior to those of savory pies. Just don’t come in here very indecisive. It will be tough to make a decision. IF you do decide to come here without knowing exactly what you want, my recommendation is to buy every single pie at the counter! Staff is friendly and very chatty. They’re actually pretty amusing compared to a lot of other places that I go to to grab a quick bite, and I appreciate that. Prices are kinda steep for what you’re getting. One plus is that they usually have a deal on the sign of the door, so if you heed that you might find yourself receiving a free pie or two.

I was on my way to volunteer and I needed a lite lunch. Passed here and I thought I should try it since I’ve seen it many times. I looked at what types of savory pies were available and decided on 3 Thai chicken curry mini pies. It doesn’t take long for my order to be filled. 3 mini pies cost $ 6 plus tax. I am not sure what was Thai or even curry about the filling because it lacked flavor and heat and it was a lot of sauce, not much chicken.

This was my first time visiting«Pie Face» on a Fall Wednesday night in Hells Kitchen and my experience was satisfying. This location was small, cozy, hip, colorful, and had a display of happy pie faces, which I thought was creative. At first, I was unsure of what pie to order considering the numerous of selection to choose from, but was quickly educated by one of the server and with that said, the services were tremendously incredible. My friend and I ended up ordering the pumpkin and coconut custard pies, but were told we could get three pies for $ 9 and jump at that offer. My choice of coconut custard pie was so small and cute, yet delicious, tasty, and filling for a dessert after a decent dinner. This is a cute spot to grab a bite and have espresso on a first date/short meeting.

Coming from finding pie boss in aurora, il where the crust is so flaky, this place is a little disappointing. If we couldn’t compare it to that but to Marie Callender’s then sure, this place is great. Unfortunately, we’ve had better.

It’s a 3.5; slightly more spacious than(one of their first in NYC locations) Broadway and 53rd spot, less so than their East Village location(but I feel like they’re smartly trying to steal away business from other neighboring non-wifi providing coffee shops in that nabe). Don’t be uninformed like me when you order an Australian iced coffee; it contains a lot of ice cream: . Now I know. I will return for their regular cold brew this summer, with the occasional $ 3.50 sweet mini pie as a treat.

I’m not the biggest fan of Pie Face’s signature pies — savory or otherwise — but I AM a fan of their strong-ass lattes. They may be a little bitter than what you’re used to, but they get me to my happy place, and I’m reviewing this place for myself. Their Hell’s Kitchen location is conveniently located at a corner, and conveniently open 24-hours a day. My stars. That’s, like, all the time.

Interesting place. They sell ready to eat savory and sweet pies. I came here because I really needed a quick snack that wasn’t too heavy, yet still tasty. I ordered the mini pulled pork pie and thought it was pretty good. I wouldn’t rave about it, but I would like to try other flavors, especially the sweet ones. I had an espresso after and call me a snob, but it really wasn’t too delish, but hey, its a Australian pie place what should I expect right?! Anyway long story short… try pie face.

I was absolutely obsessed with this place when my boyfriend and I were visiting NYC for the first time, I went there so much while we were in Manhattan. Plus the fact the place is open 24⁄7 and its actually good food. Yes Please! Cause where I’m from places usually open 24hr generally leave you with regret afterwards lol I was calling it my «second» dinner practically the entire week we were there. Not only are the pies delicious but I love the marketing idea behind it, putting faces on the pies to determined the flavors. Very cute! The people who worked there were delightful, every time I was in there they would strike up a pleasant convo with me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting NY I’m actually quite bummed they don’t have locations in Cali. But great experience, cute and delicious pies. What more could you ask for :)

Why… hello there, Pie Face! Welcome to 8th Avenue(right by my office)! This 24-hour savory and sweet pies to-go shop is a great addition to the Avenue! You have to try the Chunky Steak Pie(and get it as a stack: mashed potatoes, peas and gravy on top). It’s a filling lunch that comes to about $ 7.50 after tax. The service is friendly and fast and you’ll love your food. I just hope you have somewhere to take it… because there’s nowhere inside to enjoy your meal.

Some people would find little faces on top of pies a little bit creepy. However, I find them endearing! You know that cliché saying that tells you to utilize your senses? I came upon Pie Face literally because my friend and I walked past and were instantly hit with that sweet smell. Of course we had to investigate! I have never been or heard of Pie Face before and was surprised to hear they are open 24⁄7. I can’t believe people buy pies at like 5am-6am but hey someone must! My friend and I just ate dinner so we were craving something sweeter. We ended up getting the 3 pack of pies to split. We had the pecan, apple crumb and coconut cream. They were all okay. I don’t know if it was because I did not make a request but should the mini pies be hot? They were kinda cold and a bit too dough-y. But from the looks of it people really love the savory ones. So I suppose I’ll have to go for those next time.

Pie Face(an Australian chain) has spent the last couple years opening more and more locations in the city, this is their latest outpost. It’s a small café type place that is open 24 hours and offers delivery. They take cards and I found the service to be very friendly and fast. In addition to sweet and savory pies they also do a limited selection of sandwiches and non-pie desserts. The pies come in mini($ 2.75 for savory, $ 3.50 for sweet) and the regular sized for savory runs about $ 5.50, $ 2 more to have it «stacked» with mashed potatoes, mashed peas, and gravy. The minis are really very small(like 2.5″) and the larger ones are a reasonable 4.5“ish. I had a stacked chunky beef, the Australian classic that started it all. It was delicious and the texture and quality was spot on. It didn’t quite fill me up for $ 7.50 so I went back for two mini pies. I tried a Thai chicken curry and a lemon pie. Both were just as good as I was hoping. If prices were lower I’d be inclined to give them a higher rating, I just think it’s a tad overpriced for what it is.

Pie faces, indeed, which is also filled with scrumptious, hearty fillings! I got their minced beef with tomato chutney pie that was warm and it made a satisfying meal. Loaded with saucy, grounded, beefy flavor and having the crust flaky outskirts of the pie, made this pie very delectable. I like how they decorate it with a face on it — each made with expressions that were somewhat unique. They also have other side items, but that’s not their focus! They have 3 specially named coffee that ranges from strong — start my heart, medium — open my eyes and to decaf — still asleep. They have coffee faces on them too! Fun, contemporary food face place!
