Best Waffles. When I crave waffles or a sweet breakfast I can’t think of any other place.

I think my rating will change to five stars the more and more I come back — the Belgian waffle is worth the return. The place is tucked away in the Village and is like any other place in the area, cozy, friendly, and warm(personalities running the place — I went on a chilly October day and it wasn’t warm at all). Our waiter was very friendly. He didn’t rush us, gave good advice and he also made small talk. I ended up getting the lox omlette. The flavors were a but to strong at first but that’s how or always is when I have lox. Takes a bit of time to get used to it. Afterwards my friend and I shared a Belgian waffle. I regret not getting another one that day. The waiter told us that, despite the taste being incredible, it wouldn’t be freshly made. He pointed to a jar on the counter and said they’d warm one of those up, and he suggested we try another waffle. I’m glad we didn’t listen to him. Best. Breakfast. Ever. The waffle melts in your mouth and is soft and warm and delicious and it makes your insides warmer and, stuff. I’ve run out of ways to describe how heavenly it is and the only thing left to do is try it for yourself.

Very cute but a little pricey. There are certain menu items worth getting here and others that are disappointing. I give this four stars if you’re going during weather where you can sit outside. The interior is not nearly as cute. I prefer this for brunch and lunch as you get better bang for your buck on those items. Get the Abeille Burger, and the split pea soup if they’re serving it. Do it, you won’t be sorry.

Petite Abeille(PA) on Hudson St is my absolute favorite of the chain. This tiny Belgium restaurant isn’t as good as it used to be but its still pretty good. Omelettes are fantastic and do is the stoempf. Leave room for The Grand Dame waffle.

I love Petite Abeille! Best Burger Ever! Love their tiny European feel and deliciously simple menu! Coffee is great! Belgian Waffles are delicious! I love the West Village location the best!

Went there for Brunch! The place is really tiny(I am not saying it’s bad but it is tiny so you should be aware of that). Food was amazing! Service was great! Little pancakes were amazing(don’t remember the french name for them). Everything we ordered came out great. Really have nothing bad to say about this place other than it is somewhat outdated. I give this place 5 stars because of the food and service and cozy atmosphere.

Small. Petite. No kidding. — 10×2-top tables in a tiny dining area — The open kitchen takes up ½ the resto space — Very, very, very affable waitress — If you love omeletes with various vegetable fillings and/or Belgian waffles with sugary sweet toppings, def hit this place up I think this resto with its rustic décor is better suited for the east village. Its not as refined as other spots that populate the west village.

This place is supposed to be of Belgian inspiration. The typical menu and the comic book posters on the wall are supposed to convince you of that. The issue is that in all the restaurants I’ve been to in Belgium, waiters were smiling, agreeable and super friendly whereas here our waiter could not have cared less about us. It’s not that he was busy either: there were only two tables for brunch that day. We waited about 20 minutes to get menus and as much time to get the bill. In between, the dishes did not arrive simultaneously and some orders had not been taken properly. Terrible customer experience! This place had lots of great reviews, so let’s assume that this waiter was having a bad day… but the food was not that impressive either! The waffles were ok but quality varied a lot(mine was very dry, my friends’ were pretty good) and the entrees are too expensive for their simplicity($ 16.5 for spaghetti Bolognese, $ 26 for a plain steak with fries!). I would give one star for the service and three stars for the food. If you’re living close and don’t mind being slightly ripped off then you might be happy there. Otherwise, the village has lots of better places

Petite A-blehhhhhh. Did they name this place after their omelets? Tiny and tasteless. I had the smallest omelet of my entire lifetime here, yet it somehow magically cost more than any other one I know of in the area. Service wasn’t as disappointing as the food, but they did drown my side salad in dressing rather than put it on the side, as requested(nicely!). My brother declared his golfball-sized eggs benny satisfying in taste, but we both were so hungry after emptying our wallet here that we walked over to The Lite Choice and sucked down one of the flavors of the day that we didn’t even like.(I think it was piss-tachio.) We were weak. And desperate. Petite Ab-hell is a really tiny, cramped joint, and although it plays itself off as a French café, the only language spoken here is el español. Por favor, pass by this place and go directly next door to Hudson, one of THE best diners in the city, and enjoy their awesome brunch special: a super filling, deliciously fresh entrée with coffee/tea and a cocktail for $ 11.25!

Decent eggs Benedict, decent service, decent company(kidding, my old friend is awesome company!). Note: they won’t seat your party until all members arrive, so tell the person who’s perpetually late that the meet time is 30 mins earlier than it really is. I’d give it another shot, but with so MANY places in the city, I’d probably prefer to spend my money(and ingest my calories) elsewhere.

Sevice was excellent and no request was too big or small for this cute place. Order the strongest beer if you like the bitter or want the buzz. Order the Chimay Blue if you want to sit back and relax. Moules Marinieres $ 11.00 Steamed mussels in a white win celery garlic broth. — 1lb The person enjoyed them and it seemed a reasonable portion. I had the chicken liver and duck pâté — it was delish! My other dining companion had a sandwich and said it was fine.

I had a really delicious dinner here last evening, My bf got the lobster special for $ 25. It came with 1 ¼ lobster split in half, seasoned and grilled to perfection, a side of fries and few leaves of lettuce — if that counts as salad. I had an order of the mussels. The mussels were teeeny tiny! But the garlic and white wine broth was really delicious. I tore through the mussels and sopped the rest of the broth up with bread from the bread basket. Afterwards, we ordered a massive scoop of hazelnut gelato and shared it on the blue park bench right outside their restaurant. It really was lovely, I must say.

Petite is the operative word here… Mislead by the outdoor seating I took my dad here for our Sunday brunch. I have many gone to Petite Abeille(W. 17th) for lunch which was usually good, not the case here. The sign says open at 9, but I called and they said 9:30 which was when we arrived. They had us wait ouside for 25 minutes and then we were allowed to enter. Most restys upon seeing an elderly perrson allow you to wait inside without ordering, not the case here. A coughing kid sat a few feet away(not their fault). Food was sub-par– eggs mixed previously to create a flavorless omelette, stoemp was good as was the tasty greens. Dad’s waffle was ok. Next comes a teeny baby whose carriage was allowed to block the door– ugh. NO bathroom did I mention. ‘ Lastly, the mean waiter with a green cap who would not let us wait inside told us it was cash only to whcih I replied are you BLEEPIN” kiddin’ me– my card was eventually taken. The formula for these Belgian spots was novel in the nineties… time for a serious update.

A lovely little spot for brunch in New York. Come here if you want to feel like a «true» New Yorker away from all the tourists. What struck me the most about this little, and I mean teeny tiny restaurant were the Tin Tin comic books and paintings on the wall. Being a bit of a Francophile, I loved this whimsical attention to detail. Growing up, I’d read the famed adventure comics by Herge. With several locations throughout the city, Petite Abeille, or «little bee» in french serves up traditional French and Belgian fare. Known for their belgian waffles, we had one with fresh strawberries(Gaufre aux Fraises — $ 10.00) The croque madame was rich and absolutely decadent with a runny egg on top served with belgian fries and a simple green salad. We also had the chicken stew with bacon, mushrooms, and belgian fries(Vol au Vent $ 17.95) Overall, a great place to enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon, but the wait can be a little long, especially if its busy.

The name ain’t lyin’- this place is petite! But, it’s charming in a rugged manner and serves up a delicious breakfast. The strawberry waffles are delicious– served with fresh strawberries, whipped cream and a pretty delicious strawberry syrup. If that isn’t enough, their breakfast sandwiches are fantastic as well. The crispy and flakey outside, yet soft and moist inside baguette with a spinach and cheese omlette sandwiched between two slices was heavenly. It’s small and the service is fast, personalized and attentive. No complaints here.

Boom goes the dynamite. I have been to Petite a few times. Thinking about it, I have actually been here for both breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I love the cheap glasses of wine($ 8 bucks for a glass of Malbec) and imported Belgium beer. For breakfast, the waffles are delicious. Seriously… try anyone on the menu and don’t be disappointed. I was raised very strict as a child with no sweets or tv. As a result, I always order the banana split waffle. If my mom only knew she would probably kill me. For lunch, anything is good. I just prefer the simple chicken sandwich baguette as I don’t like eating too much for lunch or feeling full. It is usually empty for lunch here, except on the weekends, so come here for a relaxed lunch during the week. Dinner — I love the soups, mussels, and split chicken dish. All have been good and the portions are also large. Come here on Wednesday for all you can eat mussels. The service is excellent. Because Petite is a small place, the waiter has always been attentive without feeling rushed.

Ah! My craving for waffles were cured! Me and my friend went for brunch. It’s small and very comfortable place. Our waiter, he ran the whole show there had an ausy accent and was super friendly. I had the gaufre banana split. It was just like I wanted it, crispy waffle with soft inside, topped with a scoop of vanilla cream that didn’t seem to melt throughout the whole meal, covered in sugar and whip cream. The banana was split in half placed on the top next to the ice cream. My chocolate was on the side in a little container. Simple delicious! My friend had the omelette parisienne, which looked really good. i’m not an omelette person, but I really liked the sides that came with it. The mash potatoes had some chives which added texture to it. We also ordered a site of the little pancakes, poffertjes. They were adorable and were super soft. Once again, not a fan of pancakes, I loved these little babies! They had some powder sugar over it and i dipped in into the remaining chocolate sauce from my waffle and it was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

I’ll admit it: I hold a grudge. About a year ago, I visited the Petite Abeille in TriBeCa and had a bad waiter. Completely turned off by that, I shunned the Little Bee and decided it would remain on my naughty list until I was good and ready to take it off. Finally, last Wednesday, I broke the stalemate and visited the Hudson Street location. It’s a 5-minute walk from my apartment, so I always knew I should try it. I just never made the time. Boy, am I glad that I finally did. The waiter was extremely friendly. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. The dining room was comfortable and intimate. I ordered the mac n(gruyère) cheese with ham — consider my mind completely blown. It was, without a doubt, the most incredible mac I’ve had in my entire life. Maybe it was because I was recovering from being sick and my taste buds were hyper-alert. Whatever it was, I was floored and fully intend to go back for more. Petite Abeille, I’m sorry I stayed angry at you for so long. It’s all water under the bridge now. You’ve completely redeemed yourself.

Solidly good food and service in a nice atmosphere. We visited on a Thursday night and the special was lobster. My girlfriend ordered one and I got the Flemish style beef stew. Both dishes were very good, although maybe not great considering the price. Still though, we weren’t disappointed and will probably go back.

All I have to say is the belgian waffle with whipped cream and strawberries was the best thing I’ve had in a while. Man, I miss NYC.
