I have been eating at perfecto for lunch 3 times a week and could not love the place any more! I started eating there because little Italy(a pizza place across the corner) was getting rid of quality that made me love them. I decided to go to a place that my parents used to order pizza from maybe 5 years ago when I lived in neighborhood. The pizza is fantastic there! I ate that for about a month and after they let me order calzones(which are off menu) and they are delicious! Best of all the lady who works in both restaurants lets me and my two friends sit in their other restaurant telios and finish our lunch. She also lets us have water. I love this place and will always come back to this hell of a restaurant.

Disappointing. Second time I’ve received the wrong order. Called and they said it would take 40 minutes to make the right one. Yeah, ok, just issue a credit. Ok ok we will. I’m sure I will have to follow up on that too. Never again.

This is our go to place in the area for no-frills new york style pizza. The pizza is actually super delicious, despite some other reviews. They’re pretty quick, usually takes between 10 – 20 minutes on the average day for our pizza to be ready for pick up. We always ask for our pizza extra crispy and they’re happy to oblige. Not sure why someone would go to the greek place next door when the food comes from the same kitchen and they have tables outside the pizza place as well but to each their own. One thing I’m not a fan of — they recently started charging $ 1 for little packets of salad dressing(i.e. bleu cheese as a dipping sauce for the pizza). Way to be super cheap, guys! Since the pizza itself is $ 25, I think a couple dipping sauces shouldn’t be a problem.

I was looking for pizza but ended up on the Greek side of this restaurant because it had a drink special. Didn’t even realize that the place was connected until a homeless man walked in asking me for a dollar. The waiter talked him away from my table with the promise of a slice of pizza and got the man some food. I ordered the falafel and was satisfied. It wasn’t the best tasting Greek food I’ve ever had, wasn’t the worst. The price during the late-lunch specials helped. The fries were really good and the house wine was quaffable. The falafel was huge and had delicious ripe tomatoes. The food took a while to come out, but I was overall impressed by the staff. Especially my waiter, who handled a possibly awkward situation with a mentally ill homeless man in a polite but stern manner that kept all parties from looking foolish.

Batting way out of their presumed league, the linguini primavera was full of veggies with a sublime balance of garlic and oil, the the pasta was al dente, and overall a gastronomical hat trick(sorry about the mixed sports metaphors). The salad had ripe tomatoes, and I couldn’t be happier. This is home cooking delivery.

Pizza sucks. Greek is just as bad. Maybe I’m spoiled from living in Astoria but I wouldn’t return.

I liked my slice enough to come back. I’m no food critic, but I don’t know what more they could do. It’s big, greasy, floppy, foldable, classic, new york style pizza. Sign me up.

One of the worst places to eat in NYC if not the world. I have tried this place 3 times and all 3 times I have gotten food poisoning. I can only blame myself. You can taste it in the sauce that things are not going to go well. It just tastes oily and not fresh. Walking by you can see the place is not the cleanest. I’ve made too many mistakes trying to give this place a chance because it is in my neighborhood but I am at the point where I am sure I will never eat here again. Do yourself a favor and stay away.(anyone saying this place is good is lying to you)

I really wanted to like this pizza place. It’s local. Convenient. It’s a small business. I ordered for delivery and the rude guy over the phone told me $ 19 bucks. When the pizza came, the bill came up to $ 25? The box was so massive that I thought he made a mistake and gave me a large. Whatever. Not the biggest deal in the world. Instead of hassling the delivery guy(definitely wasn’t his fault), I ended up just signing the damn thing and tipping appropriately. Tried the pizza… and it was literally the saddest pizza I ever had. I am someone who would have pizza as her last meal. It’s something I crave and for me(on a hungry day, which it was) almost ANY pizza will do. I got some veggie pizza and it was riddled with anchovies. I had the menu and double-checked — no anchovies were specified in the veggie pizza I ordered!!! Nasty large chunks of cheap-ass anchovies hidden like land mines. I picked them out, but the taste was still there. I added fresh basil, parmesan, garlic powder — the works! The nasty taste still kept punching me in the face with every bite. Sadly I had to discard the whole damn thing… something absolutely unheard of in my book. Tasteless sauce and thick-ass doughy crust as well. Arghhh. Forked over almost $ 30 for a pizza that I can’t even eat. Unbelievable. Go to Two Boots or anywhere else. Or just buy a damn pizza from the frozen aisle at the grocery! Yup, I said it! That’s how bad it was!!! I will not be coming back here.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Their pizza is not perfecto despite the name of the business. As others have noted the pizza is very heavy and pretty chewy, there is no crisp at all. Too much cheese, not enough sauce, however the pies are HUGE. I wish they would spend some time working on their pizza, it’s the worst thing on the menu. Their cheese steak is one of the best I’ve had in NYC, done right with thinly sliced rib eye, seasoned well on a crispy hero. Their greek dishes are also really good as they’re ½ pizzeria and ½ greek restaurant which may be where the problem is. They need to hire consultant to teach them how to make a good pizza, if they did this they would be a great option and be very successful on the pizzeria side of their restaurant.

I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my day(I was a delivery guy for 5 years) and this is some of the best I’ve ever had, ever. It’s got the holy trinity of pizza: delicious crust, generous and tasty sauce, gooey and melty cheese, and grease that drips off the slice. It’s so good that’s it’s holy trinity includes four things. Here’s a pro tip to know when you’ve found a good pizza spot: Keep on eye on this place during lunch hour. When local laborers all show up to get their lunch here, that’s when you know you’ve found the best pizza around. City employees, mailmen, delivery guys, construction workers, doormen all show up here to get their lunches, so this is the spot for upper west siders who are truly«in the know» about good pizza. The slices are enormous, too. I once biked 40 miles around Central Park, generated a ravenous hunger, then came directly here and ordered two slices. I’m a guy who can eat a whole pizza at other spots, but, on that day, those two slices extinguished by enormous hunger. Other than the pizza, I can’t speak for the quality of the restaurant. But, you should really try these slices. It looks like a hole in the wall, unlike other swanky UWS spots, but I know you New Yorkers love your hidden-gem pizza places, and this is one of them.

This review is in regards to the Pizza part only. Should it have a seperate listing? *shrugs* I paid more for this medium pizza than I do at Famous Famiglia’s, but it was better than Famous Famiglia’s, so there’s that. First tip off… it weighed a ton. Perfecto makes a saucy pizza. So take that into account when wearing white. The sauce is tasty and a bit chunky. If it’s out of a can, it’s a high quality can. If not, still good quality. I ordered my usual, Sausage, Black Olives & Garlic. My pie was loaded with sausage and olives .But I was a little disappointed about the garlic. It was sliced instead of minced so it wasn’t strategically spread across the pie the way I like it. Maybe I’ll ask for more next time. Life is full of sayings like, «You get what you pay for». Here at Perfecto that very much holds true.

I think we got three slices of pizza and it cost $ 13.01. The white pizza was good. The chicken slices were foul. By the time we got them home(about a three minute walk) they were lukewarm. Chicken was really gross too and looked like the kind you’d get frozen from Costco and put in a microwave for 4 minutes. But let me reiterate: $ 13.01 for three slices!!! I’ll stick to Two Boots for overpriced slices from now on. At least at Two Boots they actually taste good.

Since my last review i decided that i like the pizza too much to stop ordering from here. I have noticed that the delivery guys seem much more pleasant now. I even saw the guy that made me write my bad review and when he delivered my food i said thank you very much and he responded with a smile and thank you back. That’s all i ever wanted :) Perfecto really does have the best pizza on the Upper West Side.

This place gets 3.5 stars. Not quiet understanding where the negative are coming from. Prob one of the better tasting pizzas in the area(north of 86th Street). They are on the UWS but they deliver pretty much anywhere on broadway below 110th street. We ordered the meat lovers large pizza pie, and it was delicious and full of bacon/ham/sausage, and very gracious with the cheese and tomato sauce. The pie is VERYLARGE. I live in an upper west side apt and the box could barely fit through the door. Definitely want to try more things on the menu before I add more stars.

Perfecto is quite far from perfect. Very bad pizza… I only give two stars because Two Boots and Famous Famiglia should remain in their one-star category by themselves. The crust is bad, corn-mealy, and the sauce tastes old and tired. Gloppy unintegrated cheese floats on top. This is the kind of place where you would be ashamed if a visitor to NYC stopped and ate here, lest they think this is «NY Pizza».

Considering they sell gyros and burgers, I wasn’t expecting much in terms of pizza. But the slice I got was actually pretty good. Looked and felt like a real NY slice, though it was somewhat overly saucy for my taste and the coarse semolina on the bottom was an infuriating nuisance. Still, not a bad place in a pinch… I’ll probably stop by again.

The place is open late and the slice is okay but I’ve had better.
