I went here to have a gift wrapped. The lady who assisted me botched the whole thing. I could’ve done it myself if that was her ideal result of gift wrapping. Waste of time and money.

Former home of Crumbs, now Papyrus. Their window was nicely decorated for Valentine’s + 50% off all holiday merchandise which entice me to visit. They have nice knick knacks, trinkets, and a good selection of handmade + mass produced greeting cards. Since I have no Valentine’s all this were utter useless to me, but a beloved family member’s is a Valentine baby so a birthday card was it. Sales associate watch customers like a hawk as I was browsing their silver bracelets and necklaces which is un-inviting, unwelcoming, but none entice me. This location contains a small selection of journals as a writer I always have a small love for journals. They carry Roma Lussa journals which are handmade in Florence, Italy and Cavallini vintage notebooks. A paperless loyalty rewards program exist by way of customers’ phone number.

Do not use this location for wedding invitations. The communication between between employees is sloppy and phone calls aren’t returned in a timely manner. I called for Sherida today, who is the manager. And rather than returning my phone call, I receive an awkward email chain from her instead, highlighting all the mistakes they had made on my envelopes. Of course, she had left for the day, and I doubt I will hear back from anyone at all, unless I call myself. So now, my invitations are going out over a month late. Save yourselves ladies, go a different route!

By coincidence, this was the third Papyrus I’ve been in this week. And it was the best of the three, though quite small. The staff was very helpful and they had a decent selection.

If you plan on escaping the summer heat by going shopping, don’t bother going to this Papyrus. Their air conditioning has been broken for about three months and their only sort of air ventilation is a few portable fans and one big blower that just recirculates HOT air. I feel sorry for the sales associates. Lately I’ve been dropping by Papyrus about once a month just looking for random cards and cards for friendship and bereavement. Back in the day, Papyrus was always one of the ritzier card shops with specialty cards and cards that have ultra glitter, scrapbook type materials glued on to them, and definitely a lot of class. Sadly, in my hunt for special cards, I am very disappointed with Papyrus. Not really anything worth buying here. The cards are boring and seem a little outdated. Who’s the buyer here? I’d like to have a word with them. You’re better off at a Hallmark and they probably have a working air conditioner.
