Papa John’s Pizza

Decided to order here again after not ordering for awhile but they still suck. They are not on time and such horrible customer service. The guy Max who answers the phone is so rude. You never really get what you ask for and isn’t the pizza supposed to be hot?

Liar, Liar pants on fire. Do not order from here. The pizza was over an hour late and that was using their advance time delivery system. I ordered at 10AM for delivery at 12:45PM. They had over 2 hours to prepare the order and get it to me on time. I called at 12:55 when they were already late and they said they hadn’t left yet. They said, in broken spanglish, no problem 10 – 15 minutes. So I wait, and I wait, and I wait. 1:45pm and I call again. «Hey no problem, 5 minutes». And I wait. This is for an office party. The conference room has been cancelled and rebooked twice. 5 pizzas due, none delivered. It’s now 2pm and I am furious. Their franchise should be revoked! STAY FAR AWAY AND ORDER SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I usually order Papa Johns from this location with no problem until today. I am on my lunch break, I call over twenty minutes before I get there to place my order and when I do the girl didn’t even bother getting it ready. First it was going to take 2 minutes, then 5, then 10. I don’t like liars. If you forgot just say it or offer a solution if I can’t wait. There’s a reason the order was placed early.

Used a Groupon yesterday afternoon which requires that you use the online ordering system. I placed the order at 10 a.m. for a delivery at 1 p.m. Our department was having a holiday party and I ordered pizza for my contribution. Instead of rehashing the events, I have copied over an email I sent to cooperate Papa John:

I placed an order earlier as shown on the date stamp of this email for a scheduled delivery at 1:00 p.m. My department was having a holiday function and I was asked to make the purchased. At 1:30 p.m., the items still had not arrived and I contacted the store and spoke to a representative named Junior. He assured me that the item was on its way. The delivery was eventually made 40 minutes passed the delivery time.
Reviewing the receipt that was provided to me from the delivery person, I see that the «Out Time» is listed as 1:05 so it took the delivery person over 35 minutes to arrive where I could have walked the .6 miles in less than 15 minutes and save myself the delivery and the associated tip. The items were warm but not at the temperature and the standards it should have been. This is my first experience with the online ordering feature and although the process of ordering was convenient, having to wait 40 minutes passed the delivery time is unacceptable. This means that the food items had been sitting around for almost 40 minutes before arriving.
I am truly disappointed with this service and hesitant to recommend Papa Johns to any of my friends or colleagues. Living in New York City, their are many places that offer outstanding pizza alternatives to Papa John. One should not need to warm a pizza in a microwave as my colleagues did because they expected a hot pizza.

It turned out that two of my coworkers called out sick today after eating the pizza or the chicken poppers. I will not be ordering from this establishment again!!!

I am one of those «hardly every write a review» types, but this place needs one. I really wanted pizza today and was craving Papa Johns. I put my order in online for a single medium pizza with a 20 oz soda. The estimated time on my confirmation said 30 – 40 minutes. I know it can get busy during lunch, so I waited an hour before calling to check on the status. After giving the woman who answered my address, I was put on hold for over 10 minutes while she «checked». I finally hang up and called back to ask again and was told the order already left, BUT…
It was another hour after that before my food arrived — 2 hours in total — and, of course, when the food got here it was completely cold. Not even a little warm. Cold like it had been sitting out for hours.
I still like Papa Johns, but I will definitely not be ordering from this location again.

I rarely write reviews unless I feel really strongly about that place, but I saw the Unilocal rating of this place, and I thought it needed some justice. So here is my 2 cents.
So I am watching netflix onTuesday night, and I get this massive craving for Papa John’s pizza. As a religious Unilocal follower, I was feeling slightly anxious about these 1-​star reviews claiming that the pizza got here after 1.5~2 hours after the order. Say what?! I thought, I may need to call them ask for the ETA. As I was reaching for my phone, my doorman called and he said the deliveryman is coming up. It has been aprox 30 mins since the order was made (29 to be exact). But do consider the fact that it was ordered at 10:50 PM tuesday night.
Yeah, and shame on me for actually liking Papa John’s. It’s comparable to liking Starbucks coffee in nyc, but the Work’s pizza is just so god damn good.

Papa Johns cancelled my order without contacting me. I am a regular customer who orders from Papa Johns at least once a month.
I placed a plan ahead order for my son’s birthday party to be delivered at 11:15am from the 37^th Street location in New York. We waited until 11:45am then I called Papa John’s customer service. The representative told me that my order was cancelled, and that no one has bothered to contact me. What a terrible feeling.
I found out more information. Apparently delivery is done through grub hub. Not only is there a mandatory delivery fee of $ 2.25 each time, there is lack of consistency when you receive deliveries.

This is by far the most irresponsible, careless, never deliver on time papa johns in the nation. Its the first day of football and youre the reason it sucks papa.

Major improvement. It turned out that I «earned» a free pizza based on my previous order, so I ordered again. Well they delivered on time and the pizza was very good. My middle son pronounced it, «the best pizza ever!»
So good that I ordered again last night, that pizza was delivered really fast, but it was kind of messy and not cooked quite enough. It was NOT the best pizza ever, but it was alright. My son said we should alternate between our Old School pizza place and Papa Johns.
I think they were trying to get the pizza out to me quickly, and so it was rushed. I will try again.

We were so unsatisfied with their delivery time and customer service that we decided to create a Unilocal account specifically to warn other potential customers about this place.
We placed our order of two medium pizzas and cheesesticks around 3:15. But they did not deliver the food until 5:08. It took nearly two hours for the food to arrive when it wasn’t even prime time. We called the location two times but was never given a direct answer. The first time the guy told us the delivery guy had left the location already and is on the way. The food did not arrive anytime soon, so we called the location 30 minutes after, but was given the same bullshit answer as before. This Papa John’s location does not even deserve the one star rating given.

Fresh, tasty, and always on time. This store has exceeded my expectations every time I’ve ordered from them. Thank you so much, and keep up the great work!

So, what’s better than pizza? How about a cheesy, garlicky, Spinach Alfredo pizza! So delicious. Most pizza around here has oily cheese falling off the cardboard crust, but Papa Johns doesn’t go overboard with the dairy. Instead, it tastes like they focus on getting the flavor at peak performance before slamming your taste buds with the deliciousness that can only be described as Papa Nirvana. Yep, I said it! Hell, if you don’t believe me try one for yourself. So, carnivores, keep your 3, 5, 10, and 15 meat pizzas! I’ll marinate in Spinach Alfredo aka FOOD OF THE GODS!!!

the pizza is standard with all Papa John chains. however, this place gets one star for poor customer service. I ordered a small personal pan pizza at 1130 am from the cashier. he took the order with no problems. I am waiting for my pizza when a young female worker states in a non friendly tone «the lunch special is at 12 noon». I never asked for the lunch special, just a personal pan pizza, clearly she had no business interfering in my transaction. if a mistake was made by the cashier that’s not my problem. A proper way to address the issue was to speak with the worker about serving the lunch special at 1130 and not the customer.

Not sure what they do here, clearly not working since it takes them 2 hours to deliver a pizza.

I ordered through seamless.
I ordered the cheesesticks. I used to eat them in Georgia and I was really craving them. I was very disappointed when I opened the box. they were flat and not the fluffy cheesy things I remembered. They still tasted okay. I also remembered it used to come with garlic sauce on the side. Or maybe it was just the pizza. and Also there is not enough of the dipping sauce.
They did deliver within the time they said they would.

Ordered a pizza online from here, took about 50 minutes to come. While the delivery guy was still at the door, I opened the box to check if it was correct (since we ordered half the pie with toppings). The pizza looked like a disaster and it was cold. It literally looked like the delivery guy dropped it and picked it back up. I give the second star because when I opened it and it was obviously a disaster, the delivery guy immediately said take it and keep the money and I’ll go bring you another pizza. Sure enough, about 20 minutes later he came back with another pizza which was hot and good. But the lesson learned here is, open your box before he walks away!

There’s a reason this place has a lower ranking than other Papa John’s. Unilocal don’t lie. Don’t order here.
Pizza took an hour and a half and the guy on the phone jerked us around for forty of it and 3 calls while we were waiting. Original quote was 30 minutes. Not sure what’s going on here, but service clearly isn’t a priority.

Back in 2011, I ordered two pies from this Papa John’s Pizza for a coworker’s birthday. When I arrived to pick up the pizzas, I became confused as I wasn’t sure if this place served food or not. It looked like some random factory room in a corner. And even worse, the worker there looked confused as well.
Concerning the «food», it was by far the worst pizza I ever had. I felt really bad for the birthday girl because the pizzas were so terrible. Thank you Papa John’s for teaching me an important lesson. First, do your research on the quality of a restaurant’s food before you order especially if you are in charge of an event. And second, never order from Papa John’s.

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Don’t order it from here.
Ordered 2 orders extra pepperoncinis with $ 1.50 and this is what I get and I called the store and he says
«maybe delivery guy was generous before and gave you more but one each piece is $ 0.75»
So is he saying delivery guy puts pizza and sides together and put it in a box w his hands?
First of all who knew delivery guys put food together?
Also who knows delivery guy washes his hands or not?
Disgusting.

The reviews everyone else has wrote pretty much sums it up. This place has no idea what they’re doing. Ordered 3 separate times and on all 3 occasions my food arrived and hour and a half late. I’m only 2 blocks away??? Horrible service. Cold food and late delivery. Stay away!
