Papa John’s Pizza

I’m a Couple of blocks from the store on the UWS — this pizza was 1 hour late, it tasted like crap, it was cold, I ordered a grilled chicken it had cheese and uncooked dough. The pepperoni was all dough. Never again — CAESARS PIZZA you are my go to forever sorry I cheated on you

I’ve eaten at Papa John’s forever and I’ve always loved it, but recently, I’ve been ordering it to be delivered to my school. The delivery estimate is 30 – 40 mins, and they usually take a little longer, but I usually let it slide. Today, after they took over an hour, I said to my delivery guy «Yo, can you please take a little quicker next time? I only have an hour to eat, and now I have no time to eat.» The guy called the store (and was speaking in Spanish, which I don’t understand). After he hung up, he left with my pizza! And he refused to come back! I called the store to see if we could get another order – for free – and they refused! They wouldn’t even accept a discounted order! They also said that the guy quit (lol). There are no other Papa John’s locations near my school, so I’m pretty disappointed that this location will probably never deliver to me again. If they compensate me, I will NEVER eat at Papa John’s AGAIN!

So after ordering from them regularly, tonight will probably be my last time.
It always takes quite a bit longer than Seamlesss says for them to arrive, but I mostly let that go.
Once before tonight, they forgot the extra sauces I’d paid for (several extra) and when I called, they said they’d redeliver. It took over an hour, however, so the next time they forgot, I just didn’t bother and let it go.
Tonight, though, was a bit more complicated. It took about an hour for the food to arrive, and when it did, the delivery guy didn’t have my 2 drinks. He said he’d just give me free ones next time I ordered. I asked if he could just bring them back tonight and he said no.
I was gonna not worry about it, but when I opened my box, the extra sauces were missing. Between the sauces and the drinks, that was $ 7 of items (about half of my total order) missing. So I called. The man on the phone said they’d redeliver. But an hour and a half after that, it sitill had not arrived. So I called again. The man said he thought I had the sauces, just hte drinks were missing. I said that was not the case. So he offered to either redeliver them or credit me. At this point, it had been about 3 hours since I first ordered, and I had lost my appetite (and the breadsticks had cooled), so I asked if I could just get a refund for the extra items that were never delivered. I was told no, just a credit for next time I order.
Well…I’m not sure when that’ll be now. I understand mistakes happen, but after letting a few small mitakes go in the past, I’m thinking it’s time to give up.
It seems important to note that I always order via Seamless. Your luck may be different ordering over the phone.

Last night was the first time I ordered a pizza from papa John’s and I was very disappointed. The pizza was very salty, it was not firm and it was expensive. Definitely not worth the cost!

Good pizza, made to order. Cooperative staff. Web specials are particularly value conscious.

Terrible service twice now. This time was supposed to be a make good for the last time and still bad

Ordered from seamless twice from them when it says 30 – 45 min and each time has been at least an hour and a half… Not worth it at all! Could have walked there and gotten better service

Yummy quick and cheap :)

I’ve tasted pizza from different establishments, corporate chains, local eateries, and others. But until now, I have NEVER had Papa John’s pizza before. And wow, have I been missing out. Nice & hot, the cheese & sauce were perfect, the dough was thick & delicious, and saving the end crusts for the garlic sauce was the best way to top it all off. I cannot believe I have not started eating here sooner. And its cheaper than Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Uno’s, CPK, and other corporate restaurants that sell pizza. I’ll most definitely be going back here for lunch more often.
