Tacos were unimpressive, soggy, overcooked. The angry matron at the door was surly and impatient(02.06.16pm). C’mon Otto! If you’re going to invest so much of your life in a biz, hire professional people. Or if you can’t for the bottom line, pay them more hourly. It was like buying food at Costco. Please improve. We wish you the best.

Delicious food! Slightly American twist on Mexican tacos. Went there three days in a row when I was in NYC. Everything I tried was great with friendly staff.

I have been hitting up Otto’s for a while now. It is one of the few affordable places to eat lunch in the West Village. But don’t let the low prices fool you. The food here is solid. Let’s start with the tortillas that they make on site, directly behind the register. The tacos are always served with very fresh tortillas. I always get the chicken tacos. This place is a step up from Chipotle in the meat department. The meat is tender and very flavorful. The chicken comes in a spicy brown sauce. The tacos also come with some onions and some salsa. I also highly recommend the chips and guacamole. They serve a really massive portion of guac that is really fresh and delicious. The staff here is super friendly and the tacos come flying out almost faster than you can pay for them.

tasty and quick(when I went there for dinner on a weekday). loved the flavors. I had carne asada and shrimp with a side of masa fries. I’d get the exact same meal over(and over) again. the employees are nice, and although the place is small, they had outdoor seating on the sidewalk(bonus!).

Great tacos! Small and cheap! I have been wanting to try this place and was very satisfied. I had the carnitas and shrimp are both were soooo good. The thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars is the guacamole. It’s good but not great. Chips are a little too salty for my liking.

This place was amazing for tacos. The juice dripping was infused with flavor. The corn tortillas seemed to be homemade. The salsa, the chips, the cilantro. OH-MY-GOD. We need one of these in Austin. The ambiance and design was crazy adorable. I loved the urban industrial look with vintage light bulbs. What made it more fun was the jam session we had while devouring our tacos. Will be back.

Fast food, fast good Mexican food, here it is. needed a bite, not a dinner or lunch even. Passed the brunch time in other places so there I was, wandering around. Slightly hungry but not ready to commit. Small but Hefty tortilla tacos with super yummy sauces. The guajillo sauce is Great! The red sauce was surprisingly spicy, the kind of spicy that is natural and tastes fresh. Not syracha spicy! FEARNOT there is ORCHATA h2O !!! Can’t talk about the meat, but I did enjoy the shrimp and shroom tacos. Yummy little dose to tame my feelings of melancholy for Mexico.

When you come of drinking age in Southern California, you expect there to be tacos when you say adiós to your bartender and call it a night. So when I moved here and people told me about their pizza-eating ways past-midnight…I just sobbed softly into store-bought tortillas. But cry no more! Because Otto’s Tacos is probably the best late-night snacking in the city. They’re certainly not Manhattan’s best(for that, go to Los Tacos No. 1), but at 1 a.m. on a Friday night after a few drinks – you’ll be pleased you stumbled in here. I can personally vouch for the carnitas, but from the looks of my friend’s steak and chicken combo, it looked pretty yumtastic. I’ll remember this place next time I miss my beloved burritos 3,000 miles away!

Cute little taco spot! This is definitely a great little fast food spot to grab tacos! The food taste authentic and flavorful. This place is great because if you just went to sit down and grab a good eat without going thru table service this is perfect. I decided to try the chicken taco and the carne asada taco with a side of rice and beans. I was very happy with both selections. They make the corn tortillas fresh on premises. The rice and beans tasted home-made and the meats were seasoned well. The best part was it was all $ 10. This is such a great gem and I know for sure I will be returning here. Seating is very limited inside but they do have plenty of seating outside during the warmer weather. Taco lovers must try!

I love, love, love Otto’s. Their churros are amazing and they didn’t forget about us vegetarians — their mushroom taco with red sauce is so incredibly good. Pair it with a Mexican coke and you’re all set. This was my last stop before heading back to Boston… and I’m so glad I made a stop here.

Pretty disappointed in the tacos here. The tortillas looked like it would be delicious, but it really didn’t do it for me. They’re a bit thicker, which was actually good because it held up nicely. However, there were certain areas that were harder than others. which was not enjoyable. I got carne asada and carnitas tacos. Carne Asada was really good and tender and flavorful. The carnitas; however, were a bit mehh. A little salty and just not anything special. What really killed it for me was the heat factor! There is none. The only sauce they offer is Valentinos(?). Not spicy. Not anything really. The tacos were definitely not good enough to stand alone. Masa fries were different, but pretty tasty. Crunchy, thick texture. I did enjoy the sauce that came with it! Service — you order the food at the counter. They call your name when it’s ready. You take it to the table, eat, and throw away your trash afterwards.

OK, these small corn tortilla tacos are amazing. Had the beef(it’s pieces, not ground beef) and chicken. Tried my wife’s shrimp. All were awesome! Beans and rice were top-notch, and I’m not usually a fan of anything but black beans. Chips and guac were great. The chips themselves were awesomely medium-thick and perfectly seasoned. Great little place to stop in for a bite!

THEBESTTACOS are found here wowowowowowoo I PROMISE you, these are the most tasty tacos and I’ve already been back to have more. I literally have tried everything on the menu and here are the details 1. The tacos are served on the most fresh tasting corn tortillas you’ve ever eaten 2. SHRIMP tacos are so tasty and have this wonderful sauce on them — order 2 3. Carnitas = amazing 4. Chicken = amazing 5. Steak I would choose these as my least favorite but still good 6. Chips and Guac — gotta have this with any taco right 7. Masa fries were good but next time I did not order them so I could have more shrimp tacos 8. Churros; guys. these are SOFRESH. Fried right before your eyes and taste so warm and hot and melt in your mouth good, my mouth is watering currently thinking about them. These are not your average, trust me and order them. Moral of the story, go here ASAP.

Delicious! I had a pork taco and a steak taco. Very fresh ingredients, great tasting and filling. I also had the fries, but I would skip them next time since they are essentially fried tortilla strips — not that interesting. Tasty dipping sauce, though. Save the room and order another taco!

Quick in and out taco shop. The carnitas tacos were delicious! Juicy meat, zesty salsa, and covered in onions and cilantro. 2 are prefect for a snack. Would get 4 if going for dinner. There’s indoor and outdoor seating.

The Quick: I had a foodgasm eating the carnitas and steak tacos. Was I sober? No. Am I ever sober while eating tacos? Most likely not. Am I good judge of tacos? Abso-freakin-lutely. The Details: Wow. Disclaimer, these tacos are covered in fresh cilantro which I personally love but if you have do not, these tacos are not for you. The meat is so juicy and flavorful and the simple yet delicious. The cilantro onions and green salsa are just perfection. No-frills, in and out the spot, that just has great tacos. The Damage: ~ $ 3 per taco. For a snack 2 are fine, for dinner I’d probably eat eat least 4 but I’m a mess ** I have the same passion for both locations, therefore the same review applies. Arriba!

So for a ladies night, we opted for Otto’s Tacos. What we failed to realize is that there are two Otto’s Tacos. True story. Half an hour later, we were eating chips with guac and delicious tacos on tall stools.(I hauled my butt 8 – 9 blocks in painful booties. Fun times). The tortillas are made to order. I had carnitas and carne asada(what can I say? I love meat). Washed it down with beer and Horchata. The Horchata was great. This mixture was made from rice milk. It was light, very fresh(despite that it was bottled), slightly sweet, and less thick than the almond Horchatas that I have had in Seville. Very nice. Definitely superior to the Horchata at Los Tacos in Chelsea market. The Carne Asada was well seasoned, and seared right. Juicier than I expected. To be honest, I still prefer Tacos El Bronco’s carne asada. I love TEB’s pineapple topping with the seared seasoned meat. But Otto’s Carnitas were amazing! The volume of amazing pork juices soaked through the corn tortilla. The pork tasted like it was slow cooked for 4 – 5 hours. I wanted 5 of these. Definitely returning. This is one of the best places in the West Village for a quickie inexpensive dinner.

Brooklyn comes to Manhattan & the Eastside comes West with great tacos. I had heard & read how great the tacos are and they are. Only gripe is tight seating & no Lou. Food wise: Flavors are BIG! Ate: Chicken taco Mushroom taco Chips & guac Rice & beans All tacos are on housemade corn tortillas & they are juicy good. I really liked the mushroom & warm chips and retried beans & containers too. $ 13 buckaroos! Great spot near the Christopher St. Tube.
