The juice is fine, but it is expensive! If you are going on a juice cleanse, then maybe that makes sense, but if you just want juice to drink in the afternoon, I would go elsewhere. I’ve tried the sweet greens, green love, royal red, and the ginger lemonade. The green drinks really taste like vegetables and are not sweet at all. If you want a sweeter juice, don’t get these! My friend tried the green love(which is less sweet than the sweet greens) and couldn’t drink more than a sip because it tasted too healthy for her. The ruby red is very gingery. Great if you want to lose weight, but not so great if you don’t like ginger.

I tried the 3 day juice cleanse the and the guy with long hair was extremely helpful and friendly. He walked me through the options I had and even prepared my choices for the next day pickup. The juices were great but I didn’t like the vegan entrees at all. So for my third day, I opted out of buying the entrée and went to buy a small vegan dinner elsewhere to substitute. I also thought the kale salad was pretty good but not the big clean salad. The cocounut mylk was delicious and kept me full for a while. The desserts were meh. I wound up not really eating much of it all 3 days.

Let me start by saying the one star is strictly due to the customer service. The juices are beyond fantastic and I will surely miss them as I can no longer bring myself to do business with Organic Avenue. I ordered a juice pre-cleanse and they shipped my order with the wrong zip code– causing FedEx to deliver my box a day late. This was in the heat of summer and my juices arrived warm the next day. I contacted OA and was told that since they shipped my order on time they were not responsible and I should take it up with FedEx. I fail to see how this is FedEx’s fault since they were given the wrong address. I tried to explain this to OA and they refused to even respond to me. All over a mere $ 60 you will be loosing my business, a long time customer who buys several cleanses a year. I’m sad to go, but this is not good customer service and there are plenty of other great juice places.

Everyone is complaining about the prices but honestly, what do you expect when buying cold-pressed, organic unpasteurized juice that only has a 2 – 3 day shelf life? The level up app they have saves me that little extra money, and the student discount at this location just makes it all that much better. The juices, smoothies and mylks are fresh and delicious, with diverse ingredients and unique blends. Many raw food options and treats too, so you really can’t go wrong. The coconut mylk and the matcha chia blend are just amazing fixes for my sweet tooth. In a market where most of the competitors are only organic to varying degrees or inject an inordinate amount of sugar into their juices and foods with green apples and agave, Organic Avenue is smart and puts nutrition first. The staff is warm and knowledgeable. The boy that helped put together my three day cleanse was so helpful and so sweet, and it made my first experience with cleansing all the easier. They provide you with a handful of nutritional pamphlets that are littered with little gems of health knowledge. The option to call up their company’s nutritionist(or ‘wellness concierge’) and set up and appointment to get customized nutritional advice and the staff’s eagerness to put together the cleanse that’s just right for you are great. And now they have wifi! Just chilling out here while catching up on some schoolwork and reading makes the experience all the better.

Money in your pocket to burn? Then this is the right place. Very Expensive but you are paying for fresh and usually great products… and one would assume great service. For a time I did become addicted to the Kale salad, which was at times gritty, and I love the boosters. And then 35 dollar lunches became financially prohibitive for a salad, Lemon Ginger drink and a booster. So had to give it up. Most staff are great and helpful however, there have been more than a few times when I have inquired about something and it was clear that this was an intrusion into his texting… since I was the only patron at that moment, Enough said,…however at this price customer service should equal or be higher than the cost of the products.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it’s just not that good. I just moved here from San Francisco and have been on the hunt for a reliable source of healthy, vegetarian meals. This place is just really overpriced and every dish I’ve had has been underwhelming.

As an avid juicer, this place is my LEAST fave of the NYC chains. First — They are by far the most expensive in the city($ 9/juice), and they give you LESS juice than everyone else. They’re «cute» little bottles are 14oz. Liquiteria, BeQu, Cooler Cleanse, they all give 16oz bottles for $ 6 – 8.75. The Green Love and Mellow Love green juices have a weird, stinky smell and make your breath smell like broccoli farts. They keep juice out that expires that day. Obviously they are overproducing for their actual demand. They also have no fresh smoothies there. Just all pre-pressed juice. Overall, I’m not impressed. Organic Avenue, hit the road.

I was so excited to try this place out after reading about it online. I purchased a big clean salad and a sweet greens juice to bring to work with me the next day. When I opened the salad container it smelled like rotten trash and a fruit fly flew out. I was not going to chance even tasting it, fearing I might get ill, I tossed it. Next I opened my sweet greens juice, bad tasting. I drank a few sips of it and tossed it. What a complete waste of money. I love organic healthy food and juices and have them regularly, so I know what it should have tasted/smelled like. This place needs fresher produce.

You need to settle down, Ariella. The staff here was indeed friendly and it’s a nice enough space(albeit a waste of prime real estate like all the rest); grabbed a tiny piece of chocolate to finish off my LevelUp credit. Transaction Amount $ 0.75 Credit Applied — $ 0.50 Total Spent $ 0.25

Wow, the fresh pressed juices here are so good. Yes it’s a little on the pricey side, but if you don’t go here everyday it’s totally worth it. The problem is that if you walk by here often it can be incredibly addictive. Personal highlights are the Chai Smoothie, Master Tonic and the Dragons Breath shot.

Wooooowekkkkk… Organic avenue Green Coco was probably the worst thing I have ever drank. Drinking straight from Port Authority toilet might have been a better experience. I got this today because Naomi Campbell and Iman said that they get juices there. I think they must have meant getting money not juice there. Or… maybe I am just not genetically fabulous so don’t understand the amazing taste. I need a shrink who specializes in food trauma… Wooooweekkkk.

Healthy snack and food places have, for whatever reason, taken their inspiration from 7 – 11. Less of a bar, less of a coffee shop, more of a convenience store in the Progressive lady’s scrubbed version of heaven. I guess vegans don’t deserve to to friggin sit down in a place that looks like what a movie hero hallucinates during a torture session(Braaaaaaziiil…) When we gonna get a coffee shop-like restaurant to swill our juices around in our mouth? I’m thinking Organic Avenue originated this often parroted model(now other copycat juice bars are serving chicken salads with oily dressings. Chicken? Seriously?) It is expensive and its juices are small, but it contains the usual juice and salad suspects stuffed to the side, along with all the important packaged vegan snack attack essentials. All the pizza flax crackers, kale chips(Brad’s Kale Chips are gross, man, try Lifethyme’s spicy kale chips), cacao energy balls, nut milks, coconut yoghurts, and chocolate puddings a vegan with a snack tooth can get their hands on. If there’s one thing vegans are serious about, it’s snacks. Organic Avenue has some fine nut milks and passable(but small) green juices, I particularly recommend their kale salad with olives and dates in a kale-related pinch. The Thai wrap is decent, but can send one into a detox headache depending on their level of toxification. This is unpleasant unless you have time for two-ish liters of water, a long nap, or a hot shower. As a haven for all vegan snacks worthy of the expense, I actually recommend Lifethyme Natural Market.

This place is sooo expensive — but money much better spent than on most things you probably squander cash on in the city. I bought a juice, a soup, and a salad and it was over $ 30.00 — let’s just put it that way. But picking up some things from organic avenue once in a while works wonders for my migraines and to get over the weakness that lasts afterwards. I wish I could afford this place more, but one good thing is that the salad combinations have inspired me to build my own extra-more healthy salads and home made dressings, and I’m going to start juicing at home soon too so that it can be more of a daily thing. After drinking a juice from here, you really do feel better and get a special energy rush, especially if you keep up with eating a lot of raw foods every day, and don’t go off of your diet much. I really recommend it to anyone who is suffering from many of the issues that get especially exacerbated by the city like migraines, hormonal issues, depression, fatigue, etc. If you have a sort of weak and sensitive body — drinking juice and incorporating more raw foods into your diet is not a cure-all but can work wonders for your well being and state of mind. Everything here is very tasty, and made with the best and healthiest ingredients — after trying some of the other juice places in the city, I have found Organic Avenue to be the most worth it.

The food here will definitely help you be nicer to your body. :) Annnd if you’re being nice, it’s a great spot to pop into for a quick snack/meal. I love this location. The kale salad is delicious, and the cabbage wrap too. Very interesting milk alternatives. Delicious desserts, great quality. I have had such a wide variety of items from Organic Avenue over the years. Really nice to have multiple locations around the city. Wish they had wi-fi here(hint hint) The Scene: Eco-Friendly, Vegan, Quick Stop Destination Rating: 6 Date Rating: 2 Hob Nob Potential: 3 Strong Suggestion: Try their coffee with nut milk, it’s delicious!

I’m in the area all the time so I’m thrilled that they opened this location. One of my favorite things about Organic Avenue is that they always seem to be tweaking their offerings, and in my opinion they just keep getting better and better. Every time I’ve been here the staff has been super friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. This juice place definitely has a more cool, stylish vibe than the average place, so it’s a great place to go if the whole health foodie movement freaks you out or if you’re introducing someone new to healthy eating.

On this never ending quest I’ve taken on to be a «healthy person» I decided to go on my second 3-day juice cleanse. I did one earlier this year via Juice Press but I did not prepare correctly for it or come off it correctly(I started eating cheese burgers two days later after not eating meat for 3 years) So I wanted to try again and do it right. I looked at the Organic Avenue website and went with their intermediate cleanse, Love Fast. I loved that it included a salad at the end of the day. It was still cleansing but not too hardcore. I went to this location to speak to someone about this cleanse and met one of their«Cleanse Concierge» staff members. Her name was Ellie. She was very helpful and asked for my email address so she could reach out to me. She did actually email me later that afternoon. I had no other contact with her but I knew if I had questions during the cleanse, I could have emailed her and she would have been helpful. The juices at OA are waaaaay yummier than Juice Press, in my opinion. I also loved getting different juices each day, where as the Juice Press juices were the same for 3-days(ugh). Some OA juices are totally yummy and some are not but that is expected. Having the mylk to drink at the end of the day was rewarding and also something Juice Press does not do. I loved that OA offered some hand holding with their cleanse process, something again, that Juice Press does not do. The employees I came in contact with at OA were friendly and helpful. I hadn’t planned right and was going to have to come into Manhattan from Queens to pick up my last day of juices on a Saturday. But the staff member said he could just fill my order with in-store stock and let me pick it up later that day. This was a huge help! I did have one issue with their customer service however. I had also ordered their 2-day Raw Refresh to use for the post cleanse, and the package comes with two organic yogurts. My order for this under my account did not show the yogurts listed so I contacted Customer Service about it asking if my order would include it. The person who wrote me back essentially copied and pasted the package contents from the general website into her reply saying that is what I would be getting with no explanation as to why my order did not state that it would be included. Of course when I picked up this order on Sunday(at their midtown location), the yogurts were not there. The staff member let me take two from in-store stock but if I hadn’t checked in the store, I would have gone home without them! I highly recommended OA if you want to do a cleanse or get some juices or yummy salads, but they are expensive. However, I think its well worth it for your health!

I went here after a spinning class to try to eat something healthy. I was literally the only customer in the store at 1:30 pm on a Saturday and the only employee in the front didnt even say hi to me when I walked in. I had a few questions about the juices she couldn’t answer, and she was flat out totally rude — tall blonde in braids. literally not coming back to this location because of her.

The staff are super helpful and knowledge. I like that I can ask to try a sample of any juice if you’re interested in trying it. I always like coming here for some green coco before or after yoga.
