COMPLETELYADDICTED to their massaman curry. Massaman curry is my GO-TO dish at every Thai restaurant I go to, and this is the best one I’ve ever had.(!!!) That, and their veggie pad thai, eventually mixing them together while reheating the left-overs in a sauce pan… DELISH. Had this delivered to my apartment in New York and embarrassing amount. I’ve never dined in the actual restaurant, so I can’t judge décor or service. Surprised at the low-ish ratings; glad I didn’t let the less-than-4-star-rating deter me. Massaman curry for the WIN.

I’ve been here few times and it’s my favorite Thai place. Nice atmosphere and very friendly. Pepper chicken and pad Thai are great. There’s a worker name yummy who is so sweet. She tries extra hard. She deserves a raise.

Worst massaman curry I’ve ever had. The drunken noodles were also sloppy and far more spicy than I had ordered.

Ridiculous. Placed on order online, received confirmation, waited over on hour no food. When I called an restaurant, it took me extra 15min to locate my order. In the end, not surprisingly, they did not notice my order/not even start cooking on contrary to the confirmation email I received. They claimed they did not see my order, which is tipical silly excuse from the restaurant does sloppy jobs. Since this is not my only Thai food restaurant, I would go for reliable place serves good food like lime leaf, or Seen Thai. Completely waist of time.

Been here a few times and I have to say«I LOVETHISPLACE». The service is great. The food is amazing. And the atmosphere is perfect. This is the first Thai restaurant that made me want… crave their food. Mm. Definitely on my list of places to eat.

Thai place just by my home! Serves the most delicious tom yum. Green and cashew curries are pretty good. Great option for late night food. And they deliver! Tip– tom yum rocks!!!

Good place for lunch, they have great lunch prefix. Recommend spicy tofu and red curry. Wonderful experience. More importantly, they are real Thai people.

Ordered the pad thai with beef which came fast before the noodles meshed together. They use a thinner rice noodle than most and has the usual pad thai taste. Nothing too special about it. I want to say that the taste was pretty average and if you have a craving this place can hit it. So the reason i am giving this place a 2 star is because i found not one but three metal shavings(not at once) that cut the inside of my mouth. Too hard to be aluminum but too soft to be steel. Whatever it is, this experience probably will defer me from ordering again. Please be careful when cooking your food Opai.

Their delivery has the extra deep bowls! Way more for your money! And it’s delicious! I ordered a Green Curry and a Red Curry for me and my mom. We happily ate these leftovers for two lunches because the servings were so large, and the curry was perfect.

I’ve ordered takeout from Opai Thai a few times. I really like their Massaman Curry. I ordered again this evening around 5:30, had my food at 6:10. About halfway through my meal, I found a short black hair in the dish. Needless to say, I’ve lost my appetite at the moment.

I hate when food is so good that you literally salivate every single time that you think of it. Opai Thai will forever be added to that short list of places in my mind from now moving forward. I ordered takeout and selected the Shrimp Pad Thai and spring rolls. All were simply amazing. I devoured their fried spring rolls in one night. Sad, but true. The Shrimp Pad Thai was a large serving, probably enough to feed at least two or three people. I cannot wait to order again. Their food was very delicious.

This place is my upper west side go to for Thai food. The service is lovely. Really fresh food, cooked just right. Pad Thai is delicious. Prices are right.

4.5! For takeout & food; Actual dine in very soon! This is my second time ordering & I am a drunken noodle junkie! Can’t get enough. Although it tends to be on the greasier side but man is it delicious. I ordered medium the first time but that was a little spicier than I’d like. I tried the mild option and it only made my addiction worse. Absolutely amazing, as long as they serve this dish I’ll always be a customer. Can’t wait to actually visit.

I made a delivery order through grub hub from here. The delivery person came on time and the food was good. The basil fried rice was delicious and flavorful and the portion was good. The mango sticky rice was so so.

I dined here with a group of friends on a Saturday evening, and the restaurant was busy, but we did not have to wait for a table. The décor is casual and chic, and the lighting is very dim. It’s a nice ambience in the restaurant. The menu contains a nice variety of appetizers, rice dishes, wok dishes, and noodle dishes. We placed our order, and the food was served to us no more than 5 minutes later, talk about fast service! I was a little leary of how it could be prepared so fast, but the food was fresh and delicious! We ordered the Pineapple fried rice with beef($ 13), which was served beautifully in a carved out pineapple. The flavors were nice, as it included egg, onion, cashews, scallions, cherry tomatoes, golden raisins, curry powder, and of course pineapple. We also enjoyed the Chicken Pad Thai($ 12), which was a little different than I was expecting, and I can’t quite put my finger on why, but it was very tasty. The noodles were more like an angel hair thickness, and the taste was a bit more vinegar-y than I’m used to but it was very enjoyable. Our server was extremely attentive, and she refilled my water every time it was low, without me even noticing it! We definitely had a delicious meal, and the prices can’t be beat!

My review here is really for the delivery service. The last two times I’ve gotten delivery from here the delivery man has tried to shame me for giving a $ 2 tip– standing there, showing me the receipt like he’s clearly expecting more. This time he seemed so upset I went back inside to get him another dollar. A $ 2 delivery tip on a $ 15 order seems quite reasonable(also considering they already charge a $ 2 delivery fee and take 45 – 55 minutes to deliver). The food here is delicious but sad to say I’ll have to be going elsewhere.

Really enjoyed the take out from Opai that I had tonight. Wasn’t expecting anything exciting from a blind choice on seamless, but was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the drunken noodles(mild) with tofu and spring rolls because I felt like being extra gluttonous tonight. Both were flavorful and not too spicy. The drunken noodles serving was huge — I can probably get at least a lunch and a snack out of it too. The bf ordered the classic pad thai. A lot of places tend to screw this up, but Opai delivered and he devoured his meal. I didn’t even get to try any! Would like to try the restaurant in person next time, didn’t realize how close it was. Will be ordering/visiting again soon!

Finally a great Thai restaurant that delivers to Harlem(via –not an endorsement). After years of repeatedly trying all the delivery Thai locations available to me I’ve finally found one that has great food. As an added bonus the delivery containers are huge and one portion can easily be split between two meals. Ordered the traditional fried rice, the shrimp pad Thai and a curry. All dishes were good and the ingredients were fresh. They especially didn’t skimp on the chicken and it didn’t look or taste like a mystery meat. Anyways, if you’d ordering delivery Thai food and see this place listed it is totally worth trying. Also the food was delivered in about 45 minutes which was great.

If you want a LOT of kinda saucy Thai food, then boy do I have the restaurant for you. With large portions and fast service, Opai Thai is a solid place to get delivery. In my group of three, we ordered chicken pad se ew($ 12), duck pad thai($ 16), and beef pineapple fried rice($ 12). The pad se ew was probably the sauciest of the trio, with glistening noodles and a little pool of grease sloshing around the bottom of the container. But it was delicious — lots of flavor, and a generous serving of chicken.(Probably a generous scoop of MSG too? I’d have to ask.) You pay a few more dollars for duck pad thai, but it’s apparently worth it. The top quarter of the container is filled with real duck meat. Pad thai was significantly less saucy than the pad se ew. Beef fried rice tasted fine, but could’ve used a little more beef and a little less rice. Perhaps it was a fluke.
