Fun place to go out at night I’ve never had the food or been here other than at night, but the crowd is a young fun crowd(not interns though) The only qualm I’ve had is during my recent trip, I got charged for my neighbor’s drink. My neighbor offered to buy me another but a declined since I was watching my drinks for the night. Other than that, head downstairs! It’s good.

This is my favorite and my go to place when I want to have a good time with my friends. Staff are always friendly and it does get crowded at the lounge but I feel safe because theres always a security guard overlooking it and making sure nothing shady is happening. i come here during the day and they always have specials going on. Happy hour is the best, a lot of drinks are half off. My usual cocktail is just 3.50 and the food is at the right price range and is better than expected. I had a private event downstairs and the manager was super nice and gave us a very generous price for it. All in all, im very pleased with this place and is just a nice place to come with my friends. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone !!

I must admit I was somewhat hesitant about having lunch here after reading many reviews that deemed this to be a racist establishment; however I must say I enjoyed my meal here. We stopped in a Saturday afternoon. There were three people in my party and two of us ordered the lamb burger. My burger was absolutely delicious; however my friend did find a small piece of what looked like to be an egg shell in his. But as many men do, he picked it out and kept eating. The fries that came along with the burger were also tasty and well seasoned. Our server was friendly and attentive. So overall, I would say I was satisfied with the service received at One on One. I would not go out of my way to return but would considered it if I were in the area.

We’ve been waiting for an hour for a simple food order and it still hasn’t come yet. When we asked the bartender for an update on our food he was very mean and standoffish. Would not recommend on a weekday as the service was terribly poor.

WARNING*** DONOTPATRONIZE!!! Came for happy hour drinks on a Friday. Happy hour drinks are watered down. Then after happy hour, from 8−10pm on their menu it reads $ 5 shots(you call it) WITHNODISCLAIMERS! WHEN I ORDERED A GRANDMARNIERSHOTTHEYSAIDITWASNOTPARTOFTHEDEAL! What does you call it mean??? Especially when there are other days they have specials when the Bar calls it. Will not be back.

Came here on a late Sunday afternoon– sat outside and refused to be acknowledged for quite some time. The mango iced teas we finally were able to order and receive were good… but our waitress disappeared for who knows how long again, and when she did reappear, was rather curt. The bathrooms were also gross. Hard pass on coming here again.

Went to One and One and it was so crowded but it was a lot of fun! A lot of young people — super chill bar scene in the first floor then if you go all the way to the back and walk down there’s a dance club in the bottom level. I think there was a DJ I’m not sure — all I remember is that there was good music playing and people were dancing. It was super crowded down there too. If you don’t get annoyed when a place is really crowded then definitely check this place out.

This is the most sickening establishment I’ve ever been in. The manager takes no shame in being a racist, I’ve never been more disgusted after a conversation in my 27 years of living. First off to begin me and my friends came here to celebrate the launch of one of their clothing lines. When we arrived we noticed downstairs there was a lounge area, so we went downstairs to party. As we got downstairs it was pretty empty but the DJ was playing good music and the space was great. As people began to fill the downstairs area we notice the staff began taking the tables we had to accommodate the other guest. We also noticed that the Caucasian women next to us were ordering the same shots we were ordering, however they were being charged less. Although we could see more and more we were being singled out in little ways we still decided to stay and enjoy ourselves. All of a sudden the bouncers tell my friends we have to leave, at this point we are puzzled as we are being kicked out. As we are being removed from the downstairs, I ask the bouncer why we are being kicked out. The bouncer stated that he was just following his orders from management. At this time we are now outside demanding to speak with the manager who comes outside and decides to further disrespect us. He states we were kicked out because a woman’s purse(who was sitting on the other side of the room) was stolen so we have to go. At this point we are asking him to get the woman in question because we know that woman couldn’t have possibly pointed any one of us out as the culprit. The manger then refused to do so and bluntly came out and said«this is not your kind of party and you should not stay where you are not welcomed». I know my mouth dropped I could not believe that we were good enough to overcharge all night but not good enough to party with those of another race. The manager then proceeded to say he would call the cops on us(due to my friend recording him saying this, yes its on camera) and this whole time I am just standing here thinking racism is so very alive and people like him just prove it every day! Lets just say I will never return to this establishment and I do plan to call 311 and whoever else will listen as I have never been more disgusted in my life. Please note if you scroll down I am not the only person who has seen the racism in this establishment displayed. The owner replied stating it was simply my «mentality», but I cannot imagine multiple people would say that for no reason!!!

Walked in after brunch at Chantelle on Sunday afternoon. They have a bunch of big TVs all behind the bar so it was great to watch the NBA playoff games. Didn’t do anything besides drink here. Their cocktails were half off(usually $ 10) so we had a few and they were really good. The Mojito and the Mango Iced Tea were BOMB. Even if the alcohol isn’t a premium brand they make their drinks well. Bartenders were super chill too and having conversations with us as well. I also loved how it feels like you’re outside with the open doors throughout the bar. It isn’t that deep of a bar so you have the sun shining in. There is also a second floor that I hear gets crazy at night called the Nexus with a DJ and all. I’ll be back!

Service for food is horrible. Food is okay. Waitresses don’t seem too competent at all. Been there a few times and waitresses always spill drinks over customers because of unaligned tables. Bar manager is rude and combative. It’s sad to say but I believe this place is discriminative against black people.

This is an OK spot to drink and dance. Lines can get very long on the weekends, so you might want to show up early if you’re opposed to waiting outside to get into bars. The dance floor downstairs gets PACKED! It’s hard to even get a drink when it’s crowded and the bar is teeny tiny. I would’ve really liked this place, since I love to dance, but the staff here was straight up rude. When they were ready to close down, they were practically forcing people out of the bar. One of my friends thought he misplaced his wallet and when he tried walking down the stairs onto the main floor, the bouncers asked him if he understood English/knew what it meant to leave. I get that it can be difficult trying to clear out a bar full of drunken people, but I felt that behavior was disrespectful and completely out of line. There are plenty of other bars in the area to take your business.

Easy going, convenient, casual neighborhood place. Great for watching sports, good inexpensive bar food and can’t beat the happy hour. When the weathers nice grab one of the tables outside. Saw a good comedy show downstairs where there’s a good sized room & second bar… and also went to a private party down there that was cool. At night on the weekends it’s packed and loud with a younger crowd like you would expect.

I was in the area and it was football Sunday. I Decided to drop by for there happy hour, and there drinks were kinda of weak. I then ordered the mussels and fries, the broth that the mussels were cooked in was bitter, didn’t taste like white wine at all and there french fries were a bit hard. I Wouldn’t go there again, but Hey at least the TVs were a good size lol

I have a love hate relationship with this place. Used to go here all the time, especially when the weather is nice. The happy hour is great and when it’s nice it’s fun o sit outside with a pitcher of beer. However the waitress are very hit or miss. They are usually rude and not very attentive. Also, the food is terrible. Really terrible. So my suggestion is just go for drinks. I think they have been in the process of transitioning, and until they find their footing the quality is not very consistent. Tips: $ 20 card minimum. On weekend nights it goes from sports bar to club? During happy hour their cocktails are 5 bucks and taste good.

Went on a Friday night. Very packed but quick bar service. However EXTREMELYRACIST ! Denied my friend and made us pay $ 20 extra to get him in. Very corrupt door guards. Would not recommend. Do not support racism and support this place. Go somewhere else. REPLY: My friends and I did not pay a cover charge however the bouncer did require my black male friend to pay $ 20 to get in. Plain and simple discrimination. It is not taken seriously just check the reply from management.

One and One is definitely THE spot for great food, and drinks made to perfection by the best, friendliest bar tenders in town! PLUS the atmosphere is spot on! Tonight I had Fish tacos, which unfortunately for you were too yummy to stop and take a pic of before I scoffed the lot! Sorry, just try em! You won’t be disappointed! Next I had the fish and chips which were by far the best, this side of the Atlantic! Don’t believe me? Try em for yourself!

I would have given it three stars but I knocked an extra off because there was SO much broken glass on the floor. Had someone been wearing open toe shoes and/or fallen it would have looked like a massacre. Drunken, dancey, place(if you go downstairs). Pros: young crowd, good array of music, easy go-to if you’re drunk and want to dance. Cons: sometimes too crowded, small downstairs bar where it’s tough to get a drink, the DJ has song ADD and changes it every 60 seconds. The crowd itself is a little sketchy at times — people stumbling over themselves, pushing, etc. The place clears out at about 3am(probably because everyone is so tanked).

Came here on a Friday night. Had a great time. I’m a little confused with the names of «One and One» and«Nexus Lounge». My understanding is «One and One» is the bar on street level and«Nexus Lounge» is the lounge with dance floor and DJ music right underground. As one can expect on a Friday night, the dance floor is packed. Although I come here with some acquaintances, I kind of liked it crowded on the dance floor so my moves wouldn’t seem weird. There seems to be no need of cover charge to enter. I had Long Island Ice Tea for more than 10 dollars. Overall I rate this place 4.4 out of 5, so four stars. One suggestion to the owner is that the music on the dance floor is a little bit loud.

I’ve been coming here for years Go upstairs if you want a pub feel, happy hour or watch a game. Go downstairs if you want to dance the night off. My most recent visit was to the downstairs lounge. Ambiance: Pretty large space that gets extremely tight after 1am. Crowd was mostly in their mid 20−30s and culturally diverse. Music: Top 40 and old school. The DJ had a good selection but at times he didn’t even let a song play for 30 seconds before transitioning to the next song. Getting me excited for nothing. To the DJ: Please do not jump to the next song so quick. Service and price: Everyone was chill and there is no cover. Overall, cool place if in the area.

I was in the area with friends & ended up coming by this place because of one our friends mentioned we can dance here of course since everyone is pretty bombed at that point we had no problems coming by. Stopped by no issues getting in, we came in & headed downstairs. Nice small place am sure it can get crowded it wasn’t crowded when we arrived, no biggie since we had a group of friends. Open space for dancing with some seating around small bar. Drinks we had whisky sour not bad, Long Island iced tea was good & some Margaritas not bad these were the drinks for the night. The music could have been better but we came to find out the DJ doesn’t arrive till 11pm ahh not much we can do about that but whatever since we were all pretty nice by the time we got here we just hung out & dance to whatever was playing didn’t seem to make a difference to us lol. Service was good, prices are decent. Everything worked out well in the end we enjoyed ourselves the place served it purpose.

Was racially profiled here! This has never happened to me before but this place racially profiled me. I had 2 drinks which I paid for in cash and had 2 more drinks which two guys next to us at the bar paid for. The owner/bartender?(I don’t even understand how this happens honestly) did not even have the courtesy to explain the discrepancy on the bill and instead of asking us directly what the disputed charge on the bill was,(because I told him directly I did not order this«premium» drink) he went straight to security after I got up to use the restroom and asked them to escort me and my party out when I returned from the restroom. I would have whole heartedly appreciated the owner pulling me to the side and getting everything sorted out, especially after I had agreed to pay for the charge and was actually fully charged for it. We were basically wrongfully asked to leave without them asking what the exact situation was. I was so shocked that I thought it was a joke when security came up to me and asked me and my party to leave and I didn’t believe the security guard until it finally sunk in and he said, «miss, this is my job. I know how you feel but I have to ask you to leave.» Above all else, the bartender/manager still charged my card the amount the bill was due for. He subsequently told us to our face, since we were right in front of him and he couldn’t ignore us, «you guys tried to get out of paying for the tip.» How dare you? You already charged me for the full amount which contained a transaction I did not authorize, and then your reason for throwing us out is because«we tried to get away with not giving tip?» Tip is at the discretion of the patron and we should not have been asked to leave because of that. The whole experience was very disturbing. Yes, we were the only blacks in there(which was first pointed out by two other black guys at the bar who eventually left), but I try not to pay attention to that kind of thing when I go out, especially in New York. Eventually we were kicked out. It would be one thing if I didn’t pay the bill and tried to stay! But I paid the bill and we were still kicked out! Check my other reviews, never has anything like this happened to me. DONOTCOMEHERE. So I visited this place today and I got to say the margaritas were fairly good and the plus side of it was that today Thursday they are two for the price of ONE! The only not so great thing was service did take a minute to come and take your order and when I decide to order French fries they totally forgot about them. At least they didn’t charge them though. Well I could only recommend this place on their margaritas anything else well… it’s on my pending list.

I came here with a few friends late on a Saturday night, and I definitely had a great time. While the top floor looks like any LES divey bar, it’s the basement that’s the real party. They play a lot a lot of early 2000s/late 90s music which really hits the spot for the young professionals at this point in time, since the music is like throwback that’s not too old that our parents listened to it, but old enough that it’s refreshing.

This place racially profiles people. Kicked out a friend on the basis of a «fake» $ 10 bill taken out of their own ATM. Turns out they thought he was a different man of color, one they were instructed to kick out of the bar. Sorry one and one, wrong black guy.

I tried using my 10% off discount during game night but apparently you have to «order through Unilocal.» Plus the wait staff knows nothing about the discount. Drinks and food are cheap so it’s a plus side but giving zero stars for lack of service. Don’t advertise something when your staff doesn’t know anything about it.

Good for: drinking, dancing, comedy Not good for: talking One and One is a hip bar located on 1st Ave and 1st St(hence the one and one). There are 2 floors, with the top floor being the main bar area(bar seating and table service). The downstairs area has a dance floor, a smaller bar, and comedy at certain hours in the evening. The top floor gets really really loud at night. The music is really loud and the overall chatter volume is ridiculous. It’s hard to catch up with friends upstairs. Plenty of standing room. At 10PM on a Friday, there was only 1 bartender upstairs, which blew my mind. I waited around for almost 15 minutes before he got to me. Well drinks are $ 7 and the house cocktails are $ 10. There was a comedy show starting at 8PM on that Friday(maybe it’s a weekly thing?). Around 10PM, the downstairs area opened to be a dance floor. It doesn’t get too crowded, which is a good thing. I was there with a large group, and I think we filled up most of the dance floor. So if we weren’t there(there were probably 30 of us), then I think the dance floor is pretty spacious. It’s a very low-stress, casual dance scene. I would definitely be back for the dance scene, but like I said, don’t plan on coming to the bar to chat with some friends. You’ll end up shouting at each other and still not know what is being said.

I came here late on a Saturday night. The bartender was super friendly. The drinks kept coming. The bathrooms aren’t the cleanest but at least it’s well lit and big in the bathrooms, I didn’t feel like I’d turn around and smack my head on a wall. I would definitely stop at this place again.

My buddies love this bar like a horny always available mistress, which, at first sight had me dumbfounded with its dumpy beer swill, cheap drink, dirty floor feel. The wood bench arena side seats at first and first proved top quality eye candy, including some fine New York men, as well as a wandering post brunch tipsy Zach Braff. I don’t prefer scuzzy, but the $ 4 drinks amazed me, even though the confessed lightheaded new hire east European server had no idea what a screwdriver was. I didn’t even drink I was so uncomfortable. I’d be a little leery drinking out of the glasses, but you’re here for the delightfully cruddy ambiance, to arrive looking horrible, and to get sh*tfaced drunk. Dive bar Street side patio with good gawking Cheap drinks

Don’t ever come here for football or food or service. The entire experience was terrible and I went home feeling disgusted. We tried to order pitchers and they were out of. 6 different beers. The pitchers were very small and they took forever to bring them. No dogfish, no seasonal pumpkin, no budlight even. The food-, no burgers… Who runs out of burgers? The fries were clearly frozen and not even seasoned. Tater tots were passable, and the mozzarella sticks sucked. Wings my friends loved. Midway through the 4pm games the dish network shut off for about 20 minutes. Then the system crashed and we couldn’t get our bill. They auto added 20 percent to a group of 5? I always tip 20 percent but this time it’s not okay. I understand things run out but the service was terrible. Don’t waste your money, and time.
