Oliver Moore Custom Made Shoes

I waited a year to write this review since I feel that shoes for over $ 2000 need to be worn a while before I make up my mind. Yes, the fittings took forever (I am a New Yorker so anything that takes more than 15 minutes immediately tests my patience); yes the price was exorbitant; yes, the owner knows better than you what you need and want…
However, a year later, I am still wearing my lovely high heeled (3″) suede pumps. I stand at work almost all day and refuse to wear flats. I also refuse to wear shoes that look orthopedic. My podiatrist rolls his eyes at me when I complain. Well, too bad Dr. Podiatrist! I love my pumps and despite the horrible price plan to make another pair. After all, if they have lasted over a year and my feet feel good… how can I afford not to?

In February 2015, I brought a pair of black suede, $ 400, flat evening shoes to the store to have a split platform created. As they claim to be authorities in custom adjustments, I sought their advice to see if this would work on the shoes. I was assured that it would. It was an unpleasant customer experience from the start. I wore the shoes one time and after one hour, one of the platforms separated the sole. I brought them back to the store and they fixed them. I wore them one more time in June 2015, and once again the platforms separated from the soles. I brought the shoes back again in September 2015 and never heard back from them.
I called the store today, October 19, 2015, the find out the status of the shoes. I spoke to Paul, who may/​may not be the owner. He accepts no responsibility for the extremely poor job that they did. He refused to make good on the job for which I had already paid $ 250.00. In fact, after saying“I am bored with this conversation”, he hung up on me. In addition, suede shoes are very delicate and the more they are handled the more worn they look.
Oliver Moore/​Elias Custom Made Shoes has proven to be an unreliable and unethical company that does not stand behind their work and is very rude to their customers.

My feet are too wide in the front and narrow in the back for regular shoes. As a medical doctor I know that it is a straightforward problem. I will leave out the very unpleasant details of the past year of their careful measurements, over 15 «adjustment» visits and two consultations with their recommended orthopedist. Their custom shoes have remained too tight in the very place that made me need custom shoes that I have too much pain to walk in them. After all that I am still wearing my too narrow $ 100 pair of internet shoes – but I can at least walk in them.

I commissioned Paul to make a pair of custom shoes for me. Over two years and 15+ visits and am really unhappy. I have to say he tried. But, the product is just not worth the price you pay. I have off the rack shoes that fit much better and are of better quality. I’d recommend not going to this establishment for custom shoes.

Good sell at the beginning-​they do not listen to what you tell them-​had shoes made for $ 2000 and they were terrible-​not like the design that was originally drawn-​the owner thinks he knows better than you shoes were horrible and I lost $ 2000. Do not even try this place
