I have been here a couple times. This place is definitely not a spa-like atmosphere. However, my nails always come out great and the nail techs are genuinely nice. You can show the nail techs a photo and they will duplicate it perfectly. Prices are also super affordable. No complaints.

I’m conflicted with my review for several reasons. Here are my cons: –The place is very small and very dirty. I sat in the pedicure chair all the way in the back, and got to get up close and personal with the dusty, grimy fan, the dirty floors; everything. The foot bath wasn’t cleaned properly and I’m not sure that the tools my pedicurist used were sterilized. –The conversation that surrounds you(which I understand is not their fault) is the exact opposite of relaxing. I had to listen to two women on their phones, every other word was n***a, b**ch, and f**kin and somehow both of them were talking to their girlfriends who had just slept with someone who did something freaky. Great. –Let’s get back to this place being dirty. When I got to the manicure table, my hands were ‘cleaned’ with a used towel!!! She wiped my hands, gasped when she realized the towel was wet, looked at me to see if I had noticed, then kept going. –The girl who did my feet started to do my hands when some woman who had been waiting a while freaked out so the girl doing my hands was taken away to take care of the other woman, and I got someone new. This new woman, the owner, I believe, BLASTED through my manicure. At the end of it, I had to tell her to take the polish off of my skin and round out the polish at the base of the nail. –No type of lotion/massage for my hands or feet. –Tons of bubbles in the manicure Pros: –The paint job has lasted a week and just started to chip. The only reason why I gave Nyct 2 stars so that it won’t get flagged if I give it just one, but they deserve less. This is a good place if you want a quick and dirty mani, especially if you don’t mind the fumes. But, if you want to pay $ 10 you can absolutely get a better mani/pedi almost anywhere else.

I tried this nail salon because it’s the closest to my house, but I keep going back because they do good work and the prices are fair. There is nothing particularly special about the service or atmosphere(in fact, it’s a bit hectic), but I’m always happy with how long my pedicure lasts after I have one here. It’s definitely a neighborhood-y kind of place; people come in and out, selling pirated DVDs and/or flowers and/or whatever else, and it’s loud with many of the patrons talking with each other. I happen to like that kind of environment, but if you want a more peaceful/serene spa day, you might want to go somewhere else.

The services manicures, pedicures, tips(acrylic, powder, glass), waxing are excellent. This is one of the most reasonable nail places in the area. The workers are friendly and«up» on the latest trends in nail design(i.e. gellish polish, pop-up & other designs, etc.) NYCT takes both cash and cards. They open at 7AM which is a PLUS, the last customers are taken @ 7PM and the shop is open 7days a week. 7 must be their lucky # it is the # of completion… get you complete hand, feet & other things done here in East Harlem!!! Tell Mike & Michael sent you!
