I come all the way from brooklyn to do my eyebrows with Sarah, she is the best! She knows exactly how to do my eyebrows and does the perfect shape that matches my face! I Highly recommend her!

The service at this place is outstanding! I highly recommend Vandana. Love how my eyebrows come out and she is great at waxing.

Sara is the best at waxing!!! From eyebrows to Brazilian waxes, she is awesome. It’s the first time I can say I hardly felt any pain. If you have ever waxed your nether regions, you know it can be tortuous! Not so with gentle Sara! The place is opened on Sundays too. It’s also inexpensive! I’m so glad I found this place… and Sara!

I came here on Thursday after receiving a flier from a lady standing on the corner of William and Fulton. Saturday was Halloween and lashes would go perfect with my costume (I was going to be a genie) so I immediately went to the salon. The lady applied my lashes and they were beautiful. That same night I was driving home and felt something blocking my vision. The lashes on my left eye were coming off! I went back the next day (Friday) and she reapplied them free of charge (she really had no choice since she promised they would stay on for over a week and it had been LESS THAN 24 HRS!). She put 15 clusters (yes I counted) back on. Yes 15!
Halloween morning (the next day) a huge section had fallen off again! And what makes it worse is its the section that she just finished reapplying! I had no glue remover (Im not big on false lashes so there was no need for me to have glue lying around) and had to use a ton of mascara to hide the gap.
Overall: NEVER AGAIN! I’ll save my $ 35 + tip for something better (like happy hour lol).

Decent threading (although they are usually in a hurry and don’t spend much time shaping your eyebrows and discussing about what you want), great price ($ 7 plus taxes — probably one of the lowest in NYC) but poor customer service.
My first time here, I got threading done by a lady in her thirties (can’t recall her name). As I said, eyebrows turned out okay and then I asked for the upper lip to be waxed. She did that but a lot of hair were left so I asked her to thread the remaining hair. She was extremely reluctant to use thread after waxing and said, ‘why do you want me to spend time on threading when I have already waxed?’. That was an incredibly rude and unwelcoming thing to say to a first time customer. Nevertheless, I came here again after two weeks and this time I had Nisha as my beautician. She seemed straightforward and did what she was supposed to. But in the end, she didn’t remove the plucked facial hair from my face. Maybe, there were a lot of clients waiting and she wanted to cater to many more. At last, you get what you pay for.
But since those were my first few days in NYC, I thought I’d explore more and find a better place. And I did — Shobha at Financial District. They are the best in NY for eyebrow threading. Though it is expensive but the level of professionalism and quality of services delivered are truly remarkable. Totally worth the price.
So, if you’re looking for a decent eyebrow threading at super reasonable prices and you don’t really care about the customer service, NY Brows & Beauty is your go to place. But if you’re willing to shed a few more dollars for professional threading, move on. I highly recommend Shobha.

Ny brows continues to be such a great experience. Come get you’re c waxing done by Sara she is awesome. You will be very happy. It will be worth making a stop here. She’s a specialist at Brazilian wax. Come try it.

This is my second experience at this threading salon. My experience this time was better than the last. This time I found an amazing lady named Vandana. She was amazing. It did not hurt one bit. I have been to quite a number of threading salons from midtown to downtown. This is as good as it gets. She was knowledgeable and took her time and my eyebrows look great. Very pleased.

Went here earlier! Zibu threaded my brows. $ 7 not including tax/​tip. $ 5 minimum on cards. She did a great job after I explained to her to not arch my left brown too much since its naturally higher. She kept my brows as thick as possible while cleaning them up and evening them out. I will be coming back :)

I had a pleasant experience at this salon. I did my eyebrows and upper lip with Nisha. She did a clean and swift job. Customer service was great and the threading did not hurt at all. I will be back.

This is my second time. This place is amazing! It’s so clean, comfortable & welcoming. I had a prefect experience skinny young lady she did a wonderful job on my eyebrows & Brazilian wax. She did great job i always come here. All service are excellent.

This place is awesome! The service is outstanding. This is my new favorite spot. I waited less than 5 minutes to get my eyebrows done and the salon was very clean!

I walked in today, wanting to give the place a try, hoping it could be my regular place as I work nearby.
I come in, no one is there. I hear «take a seat» come from this weird, cubicle style, makeshift waxing room behind the register.
I sat there for 30 minutes, just listening to the lady BUTCHER some poor girls vagina during a bikini wax. Not even joking, this poor girl was begging the lady to take the wax off and stop touching her. The girl said she had been getting bikini waxes for 10 years and she’s never had such a horrible experience. The girl also told the lady that the wax was «shit» and apparently the lady kept waxing the same areas over and over again till the poor girl was BLEEDING.
Then, it happened… The lady got scorching hot wax on the wrong spot on the bikini area… Ouch!
All in all, this poor girl was screaming, crying, bleeding and burned and the lady didn’t seem to give a shit… She just kept making excuses and layering hot wax on.
After hearing all that take place over 30 mins (waxing a bikini takes 3 mins at most) I decided not to even ATTEMPT getting ANY kind of service here! I ran out the door and went elsewhere!
