i came in for a wheelchair rental for a family member who was visiting and the people working here were kind and professional. we booked our wheelchair 3 weeks in advance (an incredibly cheap 20 $/​day with a 100 $ refundable security deposit), and on the day we came in it took us little over 3 minutes to have them look us up and have the wheelchair ready for us. the staff helped explain how the wheelchair worked (folding, brakes, best way to place in a cab) and it was a completely easy and stress-​free experience. upon returning the wheelchair, same thing, in and out in 5 minutes. professional, quick and great staff.

The best price around for hospital grade breast pump rental –$ 75/​month. The pump they gave me was only 6 months old– previously I had rented one from a baby store and it was 5 years old and I suspect had lost some suction power. They were very nice.

Called again today for a refill, spoke to someone else on the phone who was also great, they had all my information and it has never been so easy to get a prescription, I really should switch all my prescriptions to this pharmacy! I even e-​mailed my doctor and told her to send everyone here.

Never will I ever use a large corporation like Duane Reade again.
Mom and pop pharmacy. The kindness and compassion gnu employees and pharmacy staff is unreal and rare to come across nowadays. They actually care! Not like Duane Reade where the people behind the counter make you feel like your doing something wrong. I will only use them from now on!

Been there before. Thought it huge, nice folk and big selection. Their on 25 st and 9^th and Im on 23 st and 8^th. WISH they were closer. Mobility issues pose problem with access. Called usual vendor to ask if they could get a durable medical good and its accessories. They said it was a medical supply item and no. I called NuCare because I remembered their selection and asked Robert if he could help me learn about this item and what the doc needs to write in script. He called me next day after doing the grunt work with references and information I needed. He couldnt sell the device because of Medicares competitive bidding so I had to go to vendors on their list, but Robert was glad I had what I needed. He was glad to go the effort to help. This store deserves all 5 stars.

I’ve never bought anything from this place, but I’m giving it five stars because of the kindness and compassion displayed by its staff.
A few days ago, I was riding in a cab and the driver slammed his brakes, which made me hit my head against the partition. I ended up getting some cuts around my left eye. It wasn’t anything too bad, but I was extremely shocked.
After I got out of the cab, I went into Nucare to see if they had any ointments. The employees there saw how distraught I was and brought me over to the side, where they cleaned the cuts on my eye, gave me free ice packs, ointments, Advil, and gauze. Finally, upon learning that I was new to the city, the owner actually drove me to a City MD so I could get checked up.
They didn’t have to do any of that for me. They could have just instructed me to buy some ointment to take home and use. They definitely could have given me walking directions to the City MD and let me go by myself. But the fact that they went out of their way to help me really touched me, and I believe is a testament to their company ethos. I think a great staff makes a great business, and the staff at NuCare is truly something special. I want to thank them with all my heart. Whenever I relay this story to my friends (who inquire about why I look like Scar from the «Lion King,») I make sure to mention Nucare.

I recently moved to the neighborhood, and first time I shopped at Nucare Pharmacy & Surgical. I dropped off my prescription and without much waiting, my medicine was ready! I would like to use this pharmacy for the next time again.

My wife and I have been using Nucare for years now and it’s always such a pleasure. Rob (the owner) and his staff are really as good as it gets. They provide an exceptional level of service and I absolutely recommend them.
